Yes, you'll likely regret it because separating the screen from the touch is delicate. Also, if you don't order with frame, you might get a screen that won't properly fit in to your frame, in this case screen might be falling off on its own. Better to order for complete screen with frame, it's easier to fix too.

Screenshot your about phone, let's see, have you updated recently? For the power button, enable quick ball, and add ' long press the power button' as one of the shortcuts, that way you'll be avoiding pressing the power button. Lastly, you can order for power button flex in the mean time, it's less than 1k.

For real! Those guys are planning the downfall of RN8. I don't know about ColorOS but spec-wise, it has an edge over RN8. RN8 might just ride on the luck of RN7 to get "favourable" sales but competition is stiff and stiffening!

Competition is good but many are discovering that software plays a very important role to user experience, miui is a huge selling point for Xiaomi, plus they allow bootloader unlock.
