Talking about power, pls nobody should give credit to that daura dull.ard,I bet he doesn't know where any of this power plant are.

These guys were bent on frustrating GEJs government, so they did everything possible not to make things work..

I want to ask you a question, how many times have you heard from the news about gas pipe line vandalism?

People go to pipe that distribute gas to these power stations and burst it, they don't steal it,they just burst it...

Now I think, they don't have any reason to do that again, that's why power is stable now...

until the mega watt increase from over 3000 to 5000 or more under Buhari that's when I'll believe he has done something good in the power sector...
exactly the reason I voted against GEJ upon giving pile line protection to the militants and the opc did it change the vandalism ?? Don't that show his cluelessness ?? Since the change to the army how many vandalism have you seen?? So far the only thing Anyone can fault PMB is in the war against BH give credit to PMB for these things

Please do not be railroaded by sworn TANoids into taking a middle ground for goodness sake. The bolded part above suggests a sort of bending to their wailings, from my perspective.

What exactly has Buhari done in the fight against Boko Haram that you believe should have been done differently?

Under GEJ all we heard were excuses about lack of weapons and how imaginary political enemies were using BH to pull him down. Under that administration there was no admission that there was a serious problem until it was too late. It took them over a month to recognise the kidnap of Chibok girls, which happened barely a month after the Buni Yadi massacre.

Under GEJ we had an army which faltered where civilian vigilante groups were succeeding, there was low morale in the military and an almost complete lack of will to engage (according to international press). We heard of soldiers running to the Camerounian army for refuge with their backs turned on the people they swore to protect.

Many members of this forum have stopped responding to PDP apologists in an intellectual way because, as Mark Twain said "you do not argue with stupid people because they will drag you down to their level and win, as they are more experienced" (something like that sha)

Please don't enter the gutter with the wailers.
Change is here and we are happy with it!
Thank you for your reply but let these impostors stop

That we are out of PDP led govt is a welcome development. Has the PDP led govt performed better than the current govt? I think its too early to compare. Likewise it is too early for anybody that worked directly or indirectly for change to abandon it at this moment. If you want to be an opposition let it be for greater change and not for what we are used to. (i.e PDP era)
that is the issue, I know the guy is just an impostor, what really has PDP achieved so far?? APC just got into power and let them be judge at least in 4 years time

You guys are not serious with this change ideology, I wanted a change at the center so as to deepen our democracy, a democratic setting where ruling and opposition parties have equal level playing field but reverse is the case even worse than pdp, tribalism, nepotism, imposition, do or die, religious fanatism, disobeying court order, impunity etc, how can we experience change with all these
please for all you have mentioned can you site an example ? For one I don't like the manner BH has been handled but be honest can you refute the changes in excessive spending can you say it hasn't reduced?? Did GEJ agree to a pay cut??

Good evening brother on behalf of other APC supporters we wish you very well in your new found home( that is if you where ever an APC member)

I fault your thread because of certain points, first no man will because he want to defect change his name, barcanista did defect he didn't change his moniker so why did you and what was your original moniker??,

Now for the wrong accusations of APC appointment i fault you in certain areas, first unlike PDP in her glory days that has a vast structure, having virtually leaders and godfathers from almost every region APC was rather a regional corroboration, the PDP had the ibb, Obj, Ekweme, E.k Clark to mention a few but APC leaders are mostly SW and north , the east we have just Rochas, the SS we have just Oyegun.

Do you expect SS that has no senate in APC to produce nass leader or the ss that gave little or nothing to the success of APC ?? Did you expect the SE that has no senator to produce leadership

In conclusion, though PMB and APC must have made some mistakes in appointment and handling NASS issues but no reasonable person who really knew what APC stood for will start crying foul this early, PMB and APC has had milestones especially in finance where GEJ failed, first PMb turned down armoured car purchase, cut down salary, most States have followed suit both PDP and APC governors alike, check the improvement in power and a few other things, if I am wrong please correct me

PoliticsRe: My Thoughts On Delay Of Ministerial Appointments by Gr8amechi: 11:05pm On Jul 09, 2015
Teejayphillip:
1. There's a massive amount of fraud in all the ministries and MDAs. ‪#‎MBuhari‬ does not like this.

1b. This is the first real transition from one government to another in Nigeria. Hitherto, it has been "Cover me and I cover you". But now, a proper diagnosis is going on to inform the right treatment.

2. Consequently, the President, #MBuhari is acquainting himself with the extent and the loopholes through which our funds were looted.

3. #MBuhari does not want a situation where some Ministers come in, start covering up and start looting using the same loopholes

4. Like when robbers rob a bank of ten naira, the bank manager announces hundred, pocketing ninety. #MBuhari is cleaning the system first.

5. The President, #MBuhari is working with the civil service Permanent Secretaries who helped to create the loopholes that wrecked our nation. They know the ropes so he is working with them to plug the loopholes.

6. Pres. #MBuhari wants to be able to give his own relevant and specific instructions to each minister so he can personally hold him/h!er accountable.

7. Again, we have never really had a proper transition in Nigeria and the PDP government of former President Jonathan did not hand over in ample time.

8. The practice has been to consign handover notes to the shelves to gather dust and continue to build on the rot in the system. But our new President #MBuhari, is different!

9. He was handed a foundation that is rotten and the President, #MBuhari does not want to build on a rotten foundation. He is working, clean!ing the rot in order to give us a fresh clean start.

10. President #MBuhari wants to be a hands-on leader. Not one who delegates with no good knowledge of what is going on or what is expected.

11. Although it is constitutional, given the present state of our economy, how does #Mbuhari appoint 37 ministers in the face of the recommendation of his Transition Committee's recommendation that he merges some ministries to save cost? Our President is doing this Maths!

12. Therefore, be patient, Nigerians. In my view, #MBuhari is acting in the best interest of Nigerians. It will be seen in the months ahead that all he does, is to shine the light upon a nation that has known nothing but doom and gloom.

13. You see, #MBuhari is a selfless man. No selfish bone in him. He is thorough, no mediocrity in him. He is efficient, no inefficiency in him. We must be patient. He is working.

Stop showcasing you stupidity, you knw little or nothing about Nigeria if you do you would knw that in history Buhari has never contributed to islamisation of Nigeria, go back and read your history and stop being foolish .. Note we have our members in senate an house of rep why didn't they raise an eyebrow about the relocation?? I as a Nigerian do not like the increased blood shed but let us stop playing this childish politics that led to the loss of GEJ instead of him to tackle state issues he was busy blaming BH on opposition

PoliticsCross Rivers Assembly Approves 35 Special Advisers For Gov. Ayade by Gr8amechi(op): 11:54pm On Jul 03, 2015
The Cross River State House of Assembly has approved Governor Ben Ayade’s request to engage 35 Special Advisers to constitute his cabinet.

The governor’s request was contained in a letter dated 29th June 2015, and endorsed by secretary to the state government, Mrs. Tina Agbor.

While approving the request in Calabar, the House urged the governor to ensure the exercise conforms to section 14 of the amended 1999 constitution as it regards the principle of federal character; as applicable in the state level.

Speaker of the Assembly, Hon. John Gaul Lebo, said the parliament’s action was predicated on section 196 of the amended 1999 constitution that authorizes it to approve such appointments.

He charged the special advisers to work assiduously with the governor in order to actualise his plan for Cross River state.

The speaker explained that the special advisers who are expected to head some departments and agencies in the state, would occasional be made to face the lawmakers in order to defend their actions.

As days goes by events leads to events and the new face of national assembly takes shape, for many it was a loss for others it was a gain especially for my fellow PDP efans on NL. though many will call Buhari a great leader for his maturity but with events unfolding even Buhari will understand now that he has made a big mistake for not at least intervening when the matters where still young and fresh. Buhari if he waded into the matter he would have stopped most of the alliances formed but now he has to live with the burden of killing a formidable party that was built over time by his miscalculation.
Now saraki is SP but the precedence he has set should send a message to Buhari, first he sold out DSP to PDP again he still went ahead against his party wishes in selection of the other leaders, truth be told only a fool will laugh and rejoice that his country is failing if Buhari fails to deliver it will be we the masses that will suffer it, it will not affect any of their allowances or salary.
Tinubu sacrificed his VP ambition to ensure APC wins the presidency but many other of these guys can't let go their selfish ambition.... take it or leave it if Tinubu didn't step down APC would never have won majority, its a pity Buhari allowed regional sentiments to overshadow his sense of reason, his close romance with Atiku and the others may hit the walls sooner or later
Finally either Buhari sits up and be a president or he better resign, APC should take a bold step now and start afresh or will have a long way to go, IT WILL BE BETTER FOR THEM TO EXPEL THESE GUYS NOW BE MINORITY IN NASS AND BUHARI DELIVERS THAN HAVE A MAJORITY THAT WILL ALWAYS GO AGAINST THE WILL OF THE PARTY........
long live federal republic of Nigeria
