Not only that bro. It can even generate SQL queries, generate ML and DL algorithms (when AI is automating AI) and many more. Though the researchers at OpenAI still have a long way to go on the project. It isn't bug free and it generates jargons sometimes.

Most developers are going to suffer due to this latest breakthrough in AI but I pity web devs more. Only highly skilled ones will eventually remain in the market.
Well, someone on YouTube made an argument that AI is still very young and that attaining the stage of artificial general intelligence (AGI) , where machines can actually predict our thoughts, is still very far away. The AGI stage is where most AI companies are aiming to get to.

Also, the guy said GPT3 is at most, an advanced auto-completion machine bound to make gross blunders. So maybe there's still time to get into IT, rake some good bucks and get out before doomsday. But web devs are sure going down first grin

Don't be too hysteric, it's going to happen in the far future hopefully. And yah what you're learning is good enough keep on. I repeat it might not happen in a long time. Even though technology is moving faster than its shadow we should remember that AI is code and code must have bugs. What I am trying to say is please be careful and be ready for anything, a change could happen at anytime. It's as annoying as death.
GPT3 is already generating basic HTML/CSS pages. Scary.

Even Eliza that was built in 1966 passed the Turing test.
Holy cow!
Man, I went to find out how far they've gone with GPT3, since it's been a while I followed it's development. I must say it's scary and impressive, what the guys at OpenAI have been able to create.

So basically GPT3 has the ability to transform English description to codes and that's bad for coders as it signals the beginning of an end to coding, ushering in the No-Code era.
I think it's the web developers that are going to get hit the hardest. A shift to a career in AI itself should be considered.

But then again, AI only thrives on what we feed it. And the question would be whether AI is creative enough to generate new codes an designs, better than human's.

Also, will these codes be bug-free and efficient? Or do we still need to spend hours debugging an fixing them? Which in that instance, would be counterproductive to the original purpose for which it was developed. Interesting times ahead.

Precisely, although Articifial intelligence is also competing, Researchers have developed, A.I Capable of making software or doing the coding. There is that danger in the future that A.I will also compete with human coders, especially in very repeatitive codes, through creation of patterns.

Well, until AI understands clients needs and specifications, I'm not even fazed cheesy
Maybe AI will eventually take over coding but surely, that's not happening in the next two lifetimes.

Nigerians are you not tired?

Actually the truth is most dont care because as far as they are concerned it doesn't hit "close to home".

One person is murdered in U.S and almost the whole country shuts down such that the governors and mayors had to take proactive steps.

Here the reason why police or soldiers harass protesters is because its only about 50 to hundred people who go out. The rest are at home watching TV and checking their status.

If hundreds of thousands of people can unite in masses won't this cause a change? But it can't happen na because of divisions here and there.

I saw this silly attitude with Surulere residents during the time trucks blocked the road and how they were suffering. But they could have longed resolved it if all of them came out to block those roads and cause no movement.

But when I didnt see it, I gave up on many things in this country.
Bro no hope for this country left.
Someone once said about Nigerians that when we are pushed to the wall we'd rather break through the wall than fight back. Cowardice coupled with tribalism and corruption, is a hopeless situation.

You are definitely not alone.

I learnt heavily pregnant women find it hard to tamba (wash their Nyansh) after defecating because their hand no dey fit reach their anus well well. Besides, I find pregnant women and nursing, lactating mothers very nauseating. Their toto go don scatter badly. Their breasts sef go dey leak water water. E go be like say make I vomit.

By the way, I'm an antinatalist. I'm against giving birth, child-bearing and the vicissitudes that subsequently come with it. The world is over-populated enough. Let's stop giving birth. If you want a kid, you can surely adopt legally.

Damn man. Did you have to type these graphic things? Have some respect sad

I code in python, Javascript, C++ and the likes but only when I have a task that need such attention. I like python clean syntax and I like Javascript style (even though it interpreting logic is quite complicated) especially things like closure and it's sugar syntax. "You don't Know Js" series help me Aswear. But never the less Java over Kotlin anyday anytime for me. Java community, framework and library is just so large for me not pick it
You should learn Kotlin at some point in the future. You'd love Kotlin for its syntactic sugar and nonexistent boilerplates; similar to python.

Java's NPEs are a pain in the ass and the language itself is too verbose. And oh, Kotlin is 100% interoperable with java, uses Java's frameworks and libraries, and is currently Google's most preferred language for Android development. Not to add that it's cross-platform as well.

Because for React native, you need to learn HTML, CSS, Javascript and React. If he learns flutter alone and he is dilligent, he can be building apps in 4 to 5 months.
Actually, I didn't mean React Native. I meant native OS apps like Android or iOS. You know flutter is cross-platform like react native and xamarin and therefore doesn't have access to hardware functionalities and APIs, compared to the native apps.

Anyway he can start with flutter and scale up to actual native, depending on the projects he'll be working on.
Programming / Re: App Development. by Grandlord: 10:46am On Aug 01, 2020
OP if you want to build great apps with full functionalities, go learn Kotlin and start out with Android or iOS. Whichever one you'd prefer. Kotlin is cross-platform as well.

The vastness of the universe as discovered in its seemingly expanding attribute is a clear indication that we the homo sapiens aren't lone wolves in it.

The discovery and confirmation of species of same intelligence or more intelligence than ours would be a huge answer which in itself would birth wild questions and relentless research on our place and role in this behemoth entity.

Interesting times ahead.

Nah. grin I think it's a punishment.grin I had rather not marry throughout the course of my life, than sire kids in poverty. That's self inflicted poverty. If the man had been comfortable before marriage, then met misfortune in marriage, that would be understandable and tenable.

The truth is that, the men usually end up thinking about their life like this.
I wouldn't even mind if they brought poverty on themselves alone. It's the kid(s) I sympathize with. No child deserves to suffer in poverty. No child!

But the mo'therfvckers would pop kids out to satisfy their selfish yearns.
