A lot of people tend to celebrate Rawlings because the optics are good. Yes, he came to power via a millitary coup detat but left as an elected civilian president. He stressed financially judicious policies, struck down on corruption and overall actually did more to develop Ghana than anyone since Nkrumah.

But these actions do not make one a Revolutionary. A revolutionary challenges and attempts to change a system in place that oppreses or otherwise subjucates. Rawlings never tried to change the system in place, in fact he only wanted to make the preexisting system “better", and like I stated, some of his policies ended up hurting Ghana badly down the line.

At the crux of it, he either lacked the balls to challenge the West (like a certain Nelson Mandela) or simply just had great ideas but not a transcendental leader by visionary proclivities (Haile Selassie etc). Thus there's little to no chance why the West will ever see him as a threat. It's not like Rawlings was actively challenging for African control over commodity prices, the debt trap of Neo-colonialism or any other facets which represent the continued domination of Africa and Africans by the West.

In my opinion, Rawlings is so overrated, I guess he has a really good PF team. As individuals like Murtala Mohammed, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Ken Sawo-Wiwa, Winnie Mandela, Steve Biko, Robert Saboukwe and Amilcar Cabral deserve far greater credit and adulation than JJ Rawlings.
My opinion though

A fight with the West is very unproductive and counter progressive.. That's something to really understand. Your fight with them can only be won if you steadily appoint incorruptible strategic thinkers as leaders for a long stretch of time. Avoid loans and grants! A focused military regime or dictators are the only two sets of governance that can reset a country like ours.

Things are getting out of hand. A whole north with such disciplined religion is crumbling..

Job security is a very crucial issue in the private sector especially during this period. He should go back to the company he left but this is tantamount to his relationship with them. You may have to start looking for another or call that your sponsor and tell him what the hr did

from tithe, donations to me and the 10k per annum. That personal donations is one of the loopholes that made our present pastors rich. If a church can grow like redeem and winners chapel forget it.. It will run the school and programs smoothly

Every church should have a kitchen for free food no matter how small. If you say that's not possible then how the Jesus feed the 5000? Nothing is working in today's Christendom.. Seers are prophesying rubbish.. No accurate ones.. Riches being displayed everywhere like God ordained it!! Do not gather earthly possessions period!! Any other thing is total rubbish.. Take the money to church and share it like the Bible said.

How much is 600k sound system that a whole church cannot own? Do you even know how much the latest sound systems cost? Even a common night club has a more expensive sound system worth millions of Naira and you're here saying the Church cannot own a sound system.

Hmm we have made the church a target for robbery. Imagine the cost of all these instruments put in a widow's child's school fees. I'm planning to open a church where everything is free.. Education from primary to college - university will be 10,000 only per year and free for church members who pay tithe and widows. our lecturers will be trained by the church so they can work for the church under theological inclination not expecting to build mansions with their salaries here on earth. Hope you all will join the church?
