Rule numero uno, never let no one knows how much doe you owe. That Notorious BIG (10 Commandment). You should't have let them know you have such money. Even now they know, find lie tell them cos if you release such money i bet you, you might not be able to retrieve that loan. And this happened to me, a lot of friends i borrowed money no dey talk go that side again. Some bring fight because they don't want to pay. I have stopped giving anyone any loan i no be bank. Hence forth if they ask me, a simple i no get will do, i can only give u a loan or slash the loan i know even if you don't pay back it will not affect or hurt me or my finance in anyway is what i can release.

If you must take my candid advice, pls don't go ahead with that wedding so you guys won't end up fighting, fraustrated or divorcing after a short while. You have to do away with sentiments or self pity for your wife, like what will happen if i renounce the planned wedding to her? The truth is, any woman exhibiting such behavior when she is not married will be hard to change, it's even better you try talk her out of her bad behaviors before wedding or don't go ahead with the wedding if there is no positive changes. And secondly, once you are married don't allow any family member (yours and hers) to live with you no matter what, except for a visit of one day or at most two days at most. You have to make it a rule, if not family members will use you. But if your wife put to bed her mother can come over for a month or two to take care of your wife and your new baby, after that go back to your standard rules. This is what i do. Nobody can come over my house to change my rules.

Well said, well written OP. Nigerians especially the Nigerian police have wack mentality about young people especially young boys. They believe it crime for a young man to become rich. Whenever they see a young man behind the wheels the flag him down and allows young ladies and old folks go. Who told you old men and young women or even older women are not fraudulent? They always think only young guys get money illegally. In abroad police suspect every citizen and that's how it's suppose to be.
