Yesterday was one of the most confusing days for me. For a moment, I almost ran mad.

Two weeks ago, I didn't even know what betting was like. Never done it, never experienced it. I hardly knew what the numbers meant.

Fast forward to yesterday, Tuesday, 28 July, I was risking a client's money on a game I thought was 'a sure bet.'

It was an eSports game I've been following for a while. I knew the players involved were very skilled and could score for fun. They did so in over 10 successive matches last night. So I thought it was worthwhile betting they'd score at least 2 goals.

I tried to do so in three attempts, but didn't have the mind to follow through, only for the matches to end up with at least 3 goals or more.

Informed by this, I thought it was safe to go on ahead and play this one time. I did. Unfortunately, both matches didn't end like I had predicted.

Over 800k was gone in a flash. I couldn't believe it. Seeing the signs, I attempted a cash out while the match was still live but couldn't, as the option wasn't available.

You may wonder why I had to risk such a huge sum.

It's simple; think I got greedy.

However, my excuse was that I needed money to offset some bills. Faced with so much responsibilities, I thought winning over a million naira would go a long way in helping me take care of stuff since business hasn't been coming in so much. The tile money I used was my first business since March, before the lockdown.

But, of course, my greed overshadowed any excuse I could offer.

To all the young men out there, please, regardless of how sure you are, do not stake more money than you're willing to lose. I've been there. The allure of making it big sooner can be overwhelming, but don't risk it.

This one claimed he bet for the first time in his life and he used N800k and lost all. Yes nairaland if filled with mo rons but not all. I won't be surprised if you don't know where your next meal will come from. Empty vessels and their loud noises all over nairaland,spits.

It might be a guy behind the account,no scammer will put her picture on nairaland. Intact I don't believe the person is a female.

So I got a call from my sister with her voice shaky from too much tears, that her GTbank account has been hacked. Her savings of 200k+ plus has been withdrawn. She doesn't use this account for online transactions for what so ever. Now the funny part is that she doesn't have an ATM card to the account because it's expired, n didn't bother getting a new one to enable her not touch the money. She only uses the Mobile banking app. Now the real question is how can a gtbank mobile app be hacked...she got to the bank to lay a complain and they where saying all sort of internet banking of which she didn't do, and telling her go get a court order of which in my experience the bank will just dump aside because of pending issues like that. So does it mean people can wake up one morning and loose all their life savings that is meant to be safe in the bank? And the bank does nothing.. I'm afraid of leaving a dime in the bank right now. I understand your pain bro but I think Nobody hacked your sister's account. If your money is withdrawn without your knowledge just know the perpetrators had gotten hold of some of your information like ATM PIN or the numbers on your ATM or banking App details or your SIM connected to your account.etc.
Your sister left a trail of her banking app details who was stolen by someone who knew her or had access to her devices.
A person who can hack people's bank account wouldn't hack an account of 200k,he will go millions or billions. It's common sense bro.
Besides your half smart sister doesn't use ATM but had banking app? Like which one is more prone to hacking or leaving a trail behind?
