Funny man. He is funny.

A force where it is the low-lives of Nigeria that they can recruit.

A force filled up to 98% of people who have failed at almost everything in life. A force filled with born criminals who want to cover up their crime by wearing the Uniform of the Nigerian Police. Those who have failed at THE MOST BASIC survival strategies, professions, occupations and trades. They are those that join the Nigerian Police. Nigerian's join the Police here as a last resort and a final straw to clutch at for survival.

NO SANE NIGERIAN WITH SKILLS AND A BRIGHT FUTURE JOINS THE NIGERIAN POLICE. The Nigerian Police Force and its officers in the rank and file are adjudged as CURSED!!!!

Religion / Re: This Is Where And How To Come Across A Correct Spouse by greenalwaz: 12:51pm On Jun 09
Interesting15:

by Sunday Akanni

In previous posts, I've explained that a correct spouse is a man or woman who has the configurations to help you fulfill destiny and become all God has ordained you to be from eternity past in your marriage institution.

Now, let me tell you that the best place to come across a spouse who will be an adequate helper for your destiny is within the boundaries of God's Will for your life.

Remember, you came from inside God, and He has arranged your eternal destiny before He sent you to earth. Hence, He has already planned how your life will go, including crucial things like the type of spouse that will suit His plan for your life.

You see, when it comes to God's Will for a spouse, it is not necessarily a particular person, but a configuration or feature that can suit your destiny. Then, any member of the opposite gender around that has that configuration or feature, God connects you both.

If that person stubbornly refuses to agree to marry you (or something like death took them away), God simply looks for another person who has that configuration that suits your destiny and connects both of you for marriage.

So, if you want to meet a correct spouse who is consistent with God's Will to be your husband/wife, take note of these two things:

1. Be Where God wants you to be per time:
What church or fellowship does God want you to be at this point of life?

Which office are you supposed to be working currently, in God's Will?

Which meetings, events, platforms, associations, training centers, etc, is your spirit leading you to in this phase of life?

There are chances that you will meet the correct spouse at those places; because God's Will (your future spouse) is closer to you than you think.

2. Occupy Yourself With What He Wants You To Be Busy With

Occupy yourself with the assignments God has given you, and He will take care of the rest.

Adam was occupied with what God had given him to do in the Garden of Eden, and God decided to bring him a wife as part of His blessings.

Jesus said, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6:33

When you are preoccupied with promoting God's agenda within your sphere, other things, including a correct spouse, will be added.

God is much more interested in you marrying the right person than you are about yourself. Hence, operate from a place of rest, and you won't miss the right person.

1. Stay silent. Not everything needs to be said.
Silence is better than unnecessary drama.

2. If you find someone smarter than you, work with them, don't compete. Competition is a weakness.

3. The family you create is more important than the family you come from.

4. Your current job doesn't care about you. They only pay you enough to kill your dreams.

5. Free yourself from society's advice, most of them have no idea of what they're doing.

6. Influence: Most people drift through life. They have no purpose, no direction, and zero intent. Learn their needs. Lead them.

7. You are what you think, what you eat, what you read, the visuals/audio materials you consume and those you associate with.

8. It's better to have 1 friend who's;

Happy for you
Supports your win
Encourage your dreams
Than a bunch of acquittances who are

Lazy
Self-centered
Jealous of your success

9. You'll be 10x happier if you forgive your parents and stop blaming them.

10. No one will ever come save you. Your life is 100% your responsibility.

11.Your inner circle should be more focused on money, success, and starting a family.

12.You don't need 100 self-help books. All you need is actions and self-discipline.

Believe in your heart and soul that you are capable of big things in your life.

The only thing that is standing in your way is yourself.

Remove your glass ceiling.
Family / Re: Wife Insists On Having Separate Bedrooms After Wedding by greenalwaz: 3:28pm On Jun 08
immortalcrown:
Nonsense! That means she is incompatible with the man.

Just admit that you don't understand the meaning of marriage and the level of commitment that is required in marriage. Anybody, whether male or female, who plans to not share a room with his or her future spouse will not be commited and sincere in the marriage. The inability or the unwillingness to share one room clearly means incompatibility. Quote me anywhere.

All the reasons presented in this article are childish. Only two of those reasons appear a bit reasonable but are not enough for someone not to share one room with his or her spouse. Let me address those two reasons.

1.
Menstrual pain:
When she battles with the menstrual pain in her separate room, is the husband expected to check on her? If yes, why should she have a separate room? Is it not easier for the husband to check on her when they share the same room? Or should he not check on her? If yes, who will be blamed if she becomes unconscious and something goes wrong? If pregnancy disturbs her and she vomits and becomes too weak to feed herself or put her room in order, will the husband be expected to take care of her in the situation? If yes, it is wrong for her to use menstrual pain as an excuse to have a separate room. If unfortunately she becomes bedridden to urinate and defecate in bed, will the husband be expected to take care of her? If yes, why should she use menstrual pain as an excuse to have a separate room?

2.
Giving her siblings and her friends access to her own room:
What will a married woman keep or do in her matrimonial home that her husband is not worthy to know but her siblings and her friends are worthy to know? Answer this very question if you are not supporting infidelity in marriage. Remember that infidelity is not only about sex.

Every other reason presented in the article is very silly. You know that you keep rooms untidy but you are not willing to adjust and learn how to tidy up your room. You now want to use that bad attitude as an excuse to have a separate room. Any adult that identifies his or her weakness and is not willing to work on it is very insincere and manipulative. Quote me anywhere.

One funny thing here is that you want a separate room but will not want a co-wife.😀 It is in a polygamous marriage that each wife lives in a separate room and gets visited by the husband when it is her turn to satisfy him. You don't want polygamy but you want a polygamous monogamy. Inconsistent humans.

Let me break down d increment of diesel by 7.5% and electricity by 40%
Diesel is being sold at 650 on average. 7.5 ÷100 =0.075
0.075 × 650 (current price of diesel) = 48.75
What this means is that a liter of diesel has being added by 48.75
So calculate 650 + 48.75 = 698.75. That's in average
So diesel would selling at 698.75 on average

As for d electricity
40% increment ÷ 100 = 0.4 × 49.26 per unit of electricity = 19.704 increment
So therefore, 49.26 + 19.704 = 68.964 per unit starting from July 1, 2023
Nigerians should be ready for d worst of it all

Ribadu, the security adviser to Tinubu will still be performing the same task & function as NSA(National Security Adviser). He will be operating from ONSA(Office of the National Security Adviser), and be over-seeing the structure of the entire security agencies as a whole, thereby advising the president accordingly on steps, approach, improvement and changes to make.

The only difference is that, the intelligence agencies ( NIA, DSS, DIA ) will be reporting directly to Tinubu now, instead of the NSA. Which means we wont be having NSA.

President Tinubu, probably employ that modality and structural shift to avoid lack of respect or trust between the Military and Ribadu, a fmr. police officer. We all know there has been long standing power-tussles over functions & seniority between the Military and the police.

If you look at most of the SAs appointed well. You will realise they are strategist, capable and trusted fellows who can deliver. This will leave the ministerial positions to politicians. Politicians are corrupt and cant effect changes, they are only after their pocket and political status. But they must be compensated, that is politics. Tinubu knows this, so his best bet are on his Special advisers. Reason he is putting forward his best cards there.

Tinubu got to know you through his mother, Alhaja Abibat and took you as his most trusted confidant over time.

You became so powerful that other Tinubu men wondered why Asiwaju made you his number 2.

Your words were laws in his camp.

He made you his powerful commissioner of works in Africa's busiest and most populated state.

Lagos indigenes were angry that a man from Osun was given that office but Tinubu didn't reject you.

He loved and trusted you.

And when it was time for Osun state gubernatorial election, he supported you to get ACN ticket and when PDP, in their usual way stole your mandate, he gave you all the support anyone can think of to get back your stolen mandate and so from your very humble beginning, you became an Executive Governor and Tinubu did not demand a kobo from you throughout.

Then, he felt that Oyetola should get APC ticket after you and that was his offence against you- his unpardonable offence.

Oyetola managed to win despite your not supporting him.

Yes, that Oyetola did not manage you well could be true but why not look back at where you started from?

You became a Minister and promised that the paramilitary under your ministry to compromise the election in Osun state last year against the party that made you a commissioner, a governor and a minister. You promised to use your resources to fight the party in yir state.

You told God that He should bring Tinubu down but God said no.

The day Oyetola lost, you were in US that Sunday morning where you quoted a Bible passage to express your gratitude that Oyetola and by extension, Tinubu lost which you later pulled down after we reacted to your insensitivity to progressives who never benefited anything from the party yet always want her to succeed.

You said that Asiwaju was peeing on his body before the primary.

You became the beautiful bride of those who hate Asiwaju. Some of them post nonsense to defend your nonsense.

But a day after the expiration of your eight years in office as minister, Tinubu was sworn in as President.

I know that you big bosses at the very top know how you settle your issues but your conduct was very irresponsible, ungodly and wicked. And we will say it. We don't eat from your table and so we owe people like you nothing.

Now, you said it's all the work of the devil. You are apologizing only because Tinubu is the president.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: I Made A Huge Mistake That Almost Cost Me My Job. by greenalwaz: 1:32pm On May 29, 2023
Rubyjade:
I made a huge mistake that almost cost me my job.
This is when I didn't understand the principles of Effective Communication.

Want to learn from my mistakes? Keep reading.

Five years ago, while working remotely at Andela, I learned a valuable lesson about the power of communication.

Over-communication is key for success.

I received a Slack message from a product manager on a Friday, asking me to check out a bug reported by an important customer.

Naively assuming I would fix it on Monday, I went off to enjoy my weekend, unaware of the consequences that awaited me.

When I returned on Monday, the product manager singled me out during the morning call. He accused me of not caring about customers, of ignoring him on Slack, and failing to provide feedback.

The weight of my mistake hit me hard, and I realised that a simple act of over communication could have saved me from this ordeal.

From that point on, over communication became one of my personal values. Here's how I put it into practice:

1️⃣ Double ask every doubt: Whenever I receive a task or instruction, I ask for clarification on the deadline, the goal, and the scope.

I don't assume anything. I listen attentively, confirm my understanding, and express gratitude for the explanation.

Being a great communicator requires active listening and comprehension.

2️⃣ Provide regular updates: Even when not required, I make it a habit to give regular updates on my progress.

Whether it's a freelance project or working with a team, people appreciate being in the loop. I send emails, share progress reports, and ensure transparency.

This level of accountability and responsiveness appreciated in the workplace.

3️⃣ Show gratitude and kindness: A culture of gratitude and kindness goes a long way in building positive relationships.

I make it a point to express gratitude to my colleagues, especially when they go above and beyond to support me.

A simple "thank you" in a daily call, or a shoutout on Slack, acknowledging and appreciating others can foster a supportive work environment.

By doing these, I have seen the positive impact they have on my work relationships and overall success.

People notice when you go the extra mile to communicate, and it helps build trust and collaboration.

Health / Re: Spots On My Penis, Wondering If Anyone Can Help Me by greenalwaz: 3:34pm On Mar 16, 2023
Foxxymobile4:
Let me help you with with the answer. Don't panic!!

Pimple on Penis:
Symptoms and causes
Treatment

Pimples can develop anywhere you have pores. This means they can form anywhere on your body, including the penis.

Given the area’s sensitive nature, there are a few specific symptoms you should check for before attempting a self-diagnosis. Other bumps and lumps that occur around the penis could be something else entirely, and may require medical attention.

What causes a pimple to form here and what will it look like?

A pimple occurs when a pore gets clogged. The end result depends on the materials that plug up the pore.

For example, oil and dead skin cells lead to blackheads and whiteheads. A mix of bacteria, oil, and cells can cause a pimple with or without a head.

Pimples may also:

contain pus
feel tender to the touch
feel like a hardened bump
You may be at a higher risk for pimples in this area if you:

skip showers
live in a humid climate
have oily skin
shave your pubic hair
wear tight-fitting bottoms, which can cause friction

Penile pimples can occur regardless of whether you’re sexually active. However, if you are sexually active, you’re at risk for signs of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) that can look like pimples.

STDs can cause additional complications if left untreated, so if you’re unsure of your bumps, see your doctor for diagnosis.

What treatment options are available?
The best way to treat pimples on your penis is to leave them alone. A hands-off approach will usually keep genital acne from worsening. The pimple is also likely to resolve on its own if the area is kept clean and dry.

As tempting as it may be, you should never pop penile pimples. This could make them worse and cause an infection. Popping can also make bacteria spread, possibly leading to even more pimples.

If the bump persists, talk to your dermatologist about your options for drainage or removal. You can book an appointment with a dermatologist in your area using our Healthline FindCare tool.

Isotretinoin (Accutane), a strong vitamin A derivative, is an option. This prescription medication is taken for severe acne (usually cystic nodular acne).

Here are some of the most common causes of pimple-like bumps. This isn’t a conclusive list, so be sure to follow up with your doctor.

Razor burn
Razor burns occur on recently shaved skin, resulting in redness and irritation. Minor cuts are also possible. As the affected skin heals, a combination of ingrown hairs and other pus-filled bumps may form along the rash.

Razor burn bumps tend to heal on their own. To soothe irritated skin, apply an oatmeal-based body lotion to the area. It’s also a good idea to apply this lotion every time you shave to prevent future irritation.

Shop for oatmeal-based lotion.

Fordyce spot
A Fordyce spot is a visible sebaceous gland. Sebaceous glands are usually located underneath hair follicles, but they’re visible on areas that don’t have hair — like the penis. The resulting spots are small and may be white or yellow.

You may be able to tell if you have Fordyce spots on your penis if you also have them inside your mouth. These spots most often form in clusters of between 50 and 100 at a time.

While harmless, sometimes Fordyce spots can cause aesthetic concerns. Certain dermatologic procedures can help, such as laser therapy. Isotretinoin is another option.

Tyson glands
Tyson glands are visible sebaceous glands. These bumps form around the frenulum, or the small tissue folds underneath the penis.

The resulting spots are small and may be white or yellow. They’re considered harmless and don’t require treatment.

Folliculitis
Hair follicle inflammation can lead to bumps near the base of pubic hair growth. The resulting red, pimple-like bumps are related to a condition known as folliculitis. These bumps may also be painful and itchy.

Folliculitis may resolve on its own without treatment. However, stubborn or recurring cases may require topical antimicrobials. This helps clear the existing bumps while preventing future inflammation.

Thank you.

Religion / Re: 4 Ways You Can "Honor Your Father And Mother" by greenalwaz: 12:42pm On Mar 12, 2023
Jokanem:
What Does It Mean to ‘Honor Your Father and Mother’?

The commandment to “honor your father and your mother” appears often in the Bible. (Exodus 20:12; Deuteronomy 5:16; Matthew 15:4; Ephesians 6:2, 3) It involves four key actions.

1) Appreciate them.

You honor your father and mother when you are thankful for all they have done for you. You can show your appreciation by valuing their guidance. (Proverbs 7:1, 2; 23:26) The Bible encourages you to view your parents as your “glory,” that is, to be proud of them.—Proverbs 17:6.

2) Accept their authority.

Especially while you are young, you honor your father and mother when you recognize the authority God has given them. Colossians 3:20 tells young ones: “Be obedient to your parents in everything, for this is well-pleasing to the Lord.” Even young Jesus willingly obeyed his parents.—Luke 2:51.

3) Treat them with respect.

(Leviticus 19:3; Hebrews 12:9) This often involves what you say and how you say it. True, some parents at times act in ways that make it hard to respect them. Even then, children can honor their parents by avoiding disrespectful speech and actions. (Proverbs 30:17) The Bible teaches that speaking abusively of one’s father or mother is a serious offense.—Matthew 15:4.

4) Provide for them.

When your parents get old, they may need practical support. You can honor them by trying your best to make sure that they have what they need. (1 Timothy 5:4, cool For instance, shortly before he died, Jesus arranged for the care of his mother.—John 19:25-27.

Misconceptions about honoring one’s father and mother

1. Misconception:
To honor your father and mother, you must let them control your marriage.

Fact:
The Bible teaches that the marriage bond takes priority over other family relationships. Genesis 2:24 says: “A man will leave his father and his mother and he will stick to his wife.” (Matthew 19:4, 5) Of course, married couples can benefit from the advice of their parents or in-laws. (Proverbs 23:22) However, a couple may rightly decide to set boundaries limiting the involvement of relatives in their marriage.—Matthew 19:6.

2. Misconception:
Your father and mother have ultimate authority.

Fact: Although God gave parents authority within the family, all human authority has limits—it never overrules God’s authority. For instance, when a high court ordered Jesus’ disciples to disobey God, they replied: “We must obey God as ruler rather than men.” (Acts 5:27-29) Likewise, children obey their parents “in union with the Lord,” that is, in all things that do not conflict with God’s laws.—Ephesians 6:1.

3. Misconception:
Honoring your father and mother requires you to follow their religious beliefs.

Fact: The Bible encourages us to test what we are being taught to see whether it is the truth. (Acts 17:11; 1 John 4:1) An individual who does so may eventually choose a faith that differs from that of his parents. The Bible mentions a number of faithful servants of God who did not follow the religion of their parents, including Abraham, Ruth, and the apostle Paul.—Joshua 24:2, 14, 15; Ruth 1:15, 16; Galatians 1:14-16, 22-24.

4. Misconception:
To honor your father and mother, you must share in traditional rites of ancestor worship.

Fact
: The Bible says: “It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.” (Luke 4:8 ) A person who worships his ancestors is displeasing to God. Moreover, the Bible teaches that “the dead know nothing at all.” They are not aware of any homage rendered to them; neither can they help or harm the living.—Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10; Isaiah 8:19.

By the time anyone of them does his first 1 year as the President you guys will begin to understand what's up and a nickname will soon be coined for that President as usual.

The battle and sickness plaguing Nigeria aren't what one President will just come on and solve in 8 years.

Okay, I'll concede that Peter Obi is perfect for the job in an ideal situation/country, and holds more promise than the other 2 major kleptos. Is Nigeria an ideal country as it is right now?

How about the same Obi acknowledging Atiku as his boss, mentor, and elder brother. I hope you guys know what this means in the Nigerian context. It means an unfettered access to the economy by the same Atiku you don't want to have by declaring yourselves Obidient.

Peter Obi hasn't done anything wrong to admit and acknowledge Atiku as a boss, friend, mentor, or elder brother, but that is one very dicey and double-edged thing with mingling with rogues in the Nigerian political space. The moment you get yourself muddled up with them it becomes difficult for you to come out and remain clean.

This is why some of Nigeria's best brains will rather protect the good name and image that they had built up for themselves over the years than get caught up in the messy demonic system called Nigerian politics.

In case you are ignorant and fighting your friend of over 20 years because of politics, know this and know peace.

Senator Ali Modu Sheriff was National Chairman of PDP and was also National Chairman of APC at different times. In fact, his supposed Arch rival in politics in Borno State is former FCT Minister, Architect Ibrahim Bunu. Well, did you know that their wives are siblings? They are both daughters of the late Dr. Mohammed Lawan.

In 2011, Ali Modu Sheriff, as acting Chairman of the ANPP sent General Muhammadu Buhari out of the party which led Buhari to create the CPC. Did you know that Senator Ali Modu Sheriff's nephew, Babagana, is the husband of Buhari's daughter, Halima? Babagana's mum, Fanne, is Ali Sheriff's younger sister.

Former Governor of Borno, Senator Maina Ma'aji Lawan's rival in the Borno North Senatorial District is former Minister of Works, Senator Mohammed Sanusi Daggash. The two men have contested the same seat ferociously in the past. Well, did you know Daggash's mum, Laraba's maiden name is Shallangwa while the mother of Maina Ma'aji's wife is also Rebecca Shallangwa? The two women are cousins which makes the two men, in-laws.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is said to be President Muhammadu Buhari's staunch rival but, Atiku was Yusuf Buhari's guardian at Yusuf Buhari's wedding when he married the daughter of the Emir of Bichi, Nasiru Ado Bayero. Former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, may have been deposed but his wife is the daughter of Ado Bayero, his predecessor and the current Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero and the Emir of Bichi, Nasiru Ado Bayero, are her brothers.

Late President Umaru Musa Yar'adua was a PDP member and a staunch party man but his son, Shehu, just married the daughter of Ali Modu Sheriff's younger brother, Mohammed Nur Sheriff who was a Member of the House of Representatives on the platform of the APC.

The National Chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, is a founding member of the PDP and was a governor for eight years then a senator on the platform of the PDP. Today he is National Chairman of the APC.

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi, was running mate to the presidential candidate of the PDP, Waziri Atiku Abubakar, barely four years ago. While the politicians and ruling class are busy forging alliances and building bridges, you are busy fighting your friends and pulling down relationships built over years over people who are either in laws, allies or even blood relatives! Do you have sense at all?

Late Head of State, Murtala Mohammed's son, Abba is married to Fatima Mala Kachallah, daughter of late Governor of Borno, Mala Kachallah.

MKO Abiola's son, Jamiu, is married to Khadihah Kamselem, daughter of former Inspector General of Police, Shettima Kamselem, from Borno.

Ibrahim Babangida's son, Mohammed, married Rahama Mohammed Indimi. Atiku Abubakar's son, Aminu, married Fatima Ummi Bolori, daughter of late Alhaji Bukar Bolori. Fatima Umar Ganduje, daughter of the governor of Kano, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is married to Idris, the son of late governor of Oyo state, Abiola Ajimobi.

Did you know that the incumbent governor of Niger state, Abubakar Sani Bello, was sworn in by his mother-in-law, Justice Fati Lami Abubakar? His mother-in-law, the former first lady of Nigeria, wife of General Absulsalam Abubakar, was the Chief Judge of Niger state until her retirement. The governor's younger brother, Suleiman Sani Bello, is married to Aliko Dangote's first daughter, Halima. Dangote's second daughter, Fatima, is married to the son of the former Inspector General of Police, Mohammed D. Abubakar.

Did you know that Ammuna Ashe, the wife of former Governor of Bauchi state, Ahmed Adamu Mu'azu who was also PDP National Chairman, is the younger sister to current APC Deputy National Chairman, Senator Abubakar Kyari? They are first cousins with Ibrahim Bunu's children and Bunu is a staunch member of the PDP. Ibrahim Bunu's wife is their mother's younger sister and now Bunu's son has married Kashim Shettima's daughter.

The former first Lady of Yobe state, Dr. Maryam Bukar Abba Ibrahim, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff's wife, Fatima, Architect Ibrahim Bunu's wife, Former Minister of Finance, Yabawa Lawan Wabi, Former OPEC Governor, Ammuna Lawan Ali, whose husband, Engr Ibrahim Ali is younger brother to late governor Mala Kachallah, are all siblings! Read that again.

They are busy forming alliances so that they can continue to subjugate you agile you are busy fighting over them all over the place. Who is really playing who? You better wake up and start building your own bridges and stop shouting "I will not marry Hausa! I will not marry Igbo! I will not marry Yoruba!".

This one is deep o!!

Education / Re: Why We Made Pantami Professor — FUTO by greenalwaz: 3:43pm On Sep 18, 2021
In2systemsTech:
There are basically three legitimate ways to become a professor: by climbing the professional ladder in a university; by being appointed to the position from outside academia in recognition of vast and varied industry experience or artistic wizardly in a field; and through a courtesy appointment. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami’s record does not qualify him for any.
Let’s start with the first. Pantami’s undergraduate degree in computer science from the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, was earned in 2003. That’s less than 20 years ago. When he started his academic career as a Graduate Assistant at ATBU in 2004, the computer science department that awarded him his bachelor’s degree rejected him because his degree was “weak”; he was instead employed in the Information Technology section of the Faculty of Management where he also got his master’s degree in 2010/2011 and got promoted to Assistant Lecturer.
In 2011, he got the Petroleum Trust Fund Development (PTDF) scholarship to study for a PhD at the Department of Management in the Aberdeen Business School of Robert Gordon University, which he earned in August 2014.
Upon his return to ATBU, he was promoted to Lecturer 1—skipping one rank. He requested to be promoted to Senior Lecturer but was denied because he had insufficient publication record to justify his request. He resigned in protest and took up an appointment at the Salafist, male-Muslim-only Islamic University of Madinah as an Assistant Professor of Information Science.
In 2016, he accepted a government appointment as DG of NITDA and has never returned to academia since then.
Now, three criteria are used to promote academics: teaching, research, and service. Pantami’s entire university teaching record is less than 10 years—if you consider that he never taught either at ATBU or at Robert Gordon University (although he lied that he did during his senate confirmation hearing) during his three years of doctoral studies.
His research output is even more underwhelming. Although he brags about having “over 160 publications,” his actual scholarly output is really thin for someone who wants to be a professor. When I checked SCOPUS, the well-regarded database of top-level, peer-reviewed academic journals, using his legal name, that is, Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami is the name of his neighborhood in Gombe town, which he doesn’t legally bear), only three articles and one citation came up.
Of the three articles, he is the single author of one (which is actually only a 2-page country report) and a distant co-author in two. All three articles were published between 2018 and 2019 while he’s in government.
But SCOPUS can be unjustifiably exclusionary, so I looked him up on Google Scholar, a more expansive and laissez faire database of scholarly articles and books. He has exactly 10 articles and 39 citations there. Of the 10 articles, he is the first or sole author of 5 and a “tag-me-along” co-author of 5.
Sadly, at least 5 of his 10 articles are in dubious, pay-to-play, predatory journals that would destroy the academic career of any scholar in a serious country. Most of the articles were accepted and published in the same month that they were submitted! Since peer review typically takes months, the articles were clearly not peer-reviewed.
Evidence of a lack of peer review is evident in the fact that several of the articles are riddled with avoidable proofreading and grammatical errors. Plus, many of them, such as one that was basically an unimaginative 7-page rehash of publicly available facts about NAFDAC, are flat-out scholarly scams that a serious undergraduate won’t even be caught committing.
He published only two scholarly articles—in 2013 (from his PhD thesis) and in 2015—before he came to government, which explains why ATBU refused to promote him to senior lectureship. By 2014 when he wanted to be a Senior Lecturer, he had only one notable publication.
There is no serious university in the world that can legitimately promote a former Lecturer I (at ATBU) or an Assistant Professor (at the Islamic University of Madinah) overnight to the position of professor with only 10 substandard publications in predatory journals and 39 citations. The minimum number of publications required to be promoted to professorship in most Nigerian universities is 15. A professor should ideally have at least 100 citations.
Plus, Pantami didn’t spend up to a year as Lecturer I. Nigerian academics are required to spend at least 3 years in a rank. Three years as a Lecturer I, 3 years as a Senior Lecturer, and 3 years as a Reader would give you 9 years. That means he needs to spend at least 9 years in the university after his ministerial appointment— and publish a few more articles— to be qualified for promotion to professor. In Saudi Arabia, it would require at least 8 more years.
(Of course, if he was actually employed by FUTO that “promoted” him, his unmerited professorship wouldn’t have attracted any notice since there are several such examples of perversions of traditions all over Nigerian universities. It’s the absurdity of being promoted to a professor at and by a university he was never affiliated with while he’s a serving minister that made the fraud stick out like a sore thumb.)
Also note that Pantami’s PhD is in management, a social science discipline, not in computer science or cybersecurity. So, it’s doubly fraudulent that he has been “promoted” to the professorship of a discipline he didn’t study or publish in extensively.
His doctoral dissertation, titled “A theoretical and empirical investigation of the barriers to the adoption of state-of-the-art information systems by Nigerian indigenous oil companies,” which is freely available on the Internet, is basically a survey of employees of Nigerian oil companies on their perceptions of IT policies in their places of employment. It’s a social scientific study that any political science, sociology, or economics graduate can conduct.
Now that I have established that he can’t legitimately be a professor anywhere in the world on the basis of his scholarship and pedagogy, can he be appointed a professor on the strength of his industry experience? No! The only other job Pantami has ever done outside of government and his less than 10 years of university teaching is being the Imam of ATBU. He has never invented any cybersecurity patent and has never worked in a cybersecurity company.
The only discipline that can validly appoint him as a professor of practice is Islamic Studies. Say what you may about him, he is one of northern Nigeria’s most prodigious and consequential Islamic exegetes. His oeuvre in Islamic exegesis is unquestionably worthy of a professorial appointment in Islamic jurisprudence. That’s the path of least resistance he should have taken since he desperately desires to be addressed as a professor.
In defense of Pantami’s professorial fraud, one Professor Tukur Sa’ad hashed over a litany of people who became professors without terminal degrees and without prior teaching experience, as if I didn’t already make that point and called it an example of what we call a “professor of practice” in American academe.
In my December 20, 2015 column titled “A Comparison of Everyday University Vocabularies in Nigeria, America, and Britain (II),” I gave an even more dramatic example than Sa’ad’s in the late Maya Angelou who was a lifetime endowed professor of American literature at Wake Forest University but who didn’t have a bachelor’s degree.
Wole Soyinka, Chinua Achebe, JP Clark, Ngugi wa Thiong’o and a host of other literary icons didn’t have—and didn’t need to have—a PhD to become professors. Apart from the fact that they didn’t climb the professorial mountain from the top (they started from lectureship), their path-breaking and prodigiously creative outputs are equivalent to—and in some cases exceed—a PhD.
In North American universities, it's called "Research and Creative Activity" for a reason. Wole Soyinka, Achebe, JP Clark, etc. had vast and varied oeuvres in "creative activity" before they became professors. Plus, during their time, the possession of a PhD was not a requirement to move through the academic hierarchy.
Pantami does not come even remotely close to their record in the field FUTO awarded him a fraudulent professorship. In any case, Soyinka, Achebe, etc. taught at the universities where they were professors. Pantami is a serving minister.
How about a courtesy professorship? Pantami isn’t qualified for that, either. A courtesy professorship is a professorial appointment given to distinguished professors at other universities who need not be at the universities that appointed them.
It’s called an “honorary professor” in some UK universities, an “extraordinary professor” in South African universities, and a “professor-at-large” in others. It’s basically an honor given to people who’re already professors elsewhere, so you can’t become a courtesy professor at another university if you are not already one somewhere else.
Some people said Pantami’s “achievements” as a minister are worthy of a professorial appointment. Haha! OK, so people who imagine themselves to be successful in whatever they do should now apply to FUTO for a Pantamized fraudfessorship to aggrandize their insecure egos?
Look, I’m calling out Pantami’s professorial fraud not in spite of my being a Muslim and his friend but because I’m a Muslim and his friend. My father, who was a Hafiz like him, would disown me if I ignored or gave comfort to fraud.

I have lived for decades and i have had several friends .... I have had friends with very annoying manners but with an amazing heart of gold.

I have met ladies who are demonically stubborn but are loyal to the core, ladies who told me they can't date me but had stood by me come rain or shine...

I have met friends who act so arrogant but will always have my back whenever it is necessary ...people who do not have any money to give to me whenever I'm in need but their words of encouragement is worth millions.

The simple fact of life is that there is no need cutting off anyone from your life or consider them irrelevant to you at any point in time cos that person that drives you crazy might be the same person that will come through for you when you least expect...that person you feel is too poor to give you money might be the one that will link you with a life changing opportunity that will be worth more than all the money you have ever seen in your life...and the ex you are so angry with might still have a great impact in your life.

Appreciate everybody and be nice to them because there is something good and valuable in everyone we come across no matter how terrible we may think they are, even that tout you avoid so much might be the one that will save you from hoodlums tomorrow.

First, I would commend the living faith church for the great work in investing churches across rural communities and employing paid 16,000 Pastors to lead those churches.

That said, this controversy allowed me to understand that a vast majority of us Nigerians behave like locust (apologies to anyone offended).

Eat, eat, eat is all they know. Contribution and multiplication is not their concern. Let's just exploit what is available, divide it, eat it and wait for the next supply.

This is why as a people we actually produce so little but consume so very much.
We are a nation of exploiters...

I have learnt personal lessons from this writeup and I would be sure to make personal amends in my own life. Just about condemning those pastors that are running from duty, and the holy spirit reminded me of something that was placed in my hand which failed but I have not given account neither have I replaced it to the person. The person never asked probably cause of our close relationship, and he's rich but that doesn't absolves me of my responsibility to integrity.

1) Never accept to do anything you have no passion for simply because of economic benefits whether fringe or large.

2) Whatever has been committed to your hands by those who invested in you must be nurtured to grow with all your effort.

3) If what has been committed to your hand fails for any reason, have the honor to return it at least the way you met it. Be truthful to your investor. Don't wait till you are fired or cursed out.
As a people we must learn to RESIGN when we see glaringly that we are unqualified or unable to carry certain responsibilities.
