stankezzy:
as an engineer d company building it is using local technology, with modern technology bridges are built with fewer but more strong pillars with bigger gaps in between to allow bigger vessels to pass through, strong steel alloys are use for the top since d gaps are more d strength of d materials will be great so that it doesn't cave in but in this case they are using Chinese local technology ,supporting it with a lot of small useless pillars, choking up spaces, vessels d size of trailer or container body can't pass under this bridge , bad technology

The choice of any particular method of construction lies not just with the contractor but also the client's brief.

Whatever.

Fact is Buhari is doing no one a favour but doing his job.

He deserves no accolade for continuing a job and there is no guarantee in any case that he will finish it.

He still stands the worst president ever to have presided over Nigeria!

Save yourself the hate and anger. Those who sold you guys that rhetoric were paid for the job before and during elections. Even they have lost and since moved on. If to say i follow Buhari and Nairaland hatred...hmmm na stagnation straight!

Education / Re: Please, Is Age Still On My Side? by GreenArrow2: 6:52am On Jul 31, 2019
kulreal:
I've been trying to find someone to share what I'm passing through right now with but I can't just find any, perhaps not to feel ridiculed or I don't just get; reason for coming on this forum.

I'm currently seeking admission into one of the federal universities here in Nigeria but unable to decide which course to go for due to my deficit knowledge of what the future holds.
Though from the outset of my Jamb registration early this year, I planned going for medical laboratory science but right now I'm just confused due to the age factor. I'm 23 years old presently and MLS is 5 years course (provided no strike) + 1 year internship + 1 year service making total of 7 years. Adding this to my age, I'd be 30 years by the time I'm done.
So to avoid this, I want to change to pure and industrial chemistry which is 4 years + 1 year service meaning by the time I'm done I'd be 28 years.
Now my questions are:
1) Assuming I go for MLS and considering my age after service, will I still be considered employable in the job market?
2) Also if I decided to change to PIC, what does the future holds cus I do hear most of their graduates are into teaching?
Thanks for your time and invaluable responses

You better read a course that won't have you hunting for jobs after graduation. Don't take that advice that what you read doesn't matter. It does. MLS, Nursing, medicine -related fields are in high demand. Go there. No do any chemistry abeg.

This is a good one. Buhari has his many many flaws. However, delivery on infrastructure like roads and this bridge is commendable.

Allison Madukwe built twin tower bigger than Trump Towers in Banana Island but I guess that is not greed according cursed & foolish PDP sycophants

It is about time we learn to be specific with our use of words in describing certain people, much as l congratulate Mr Ode on his success, I think the appropriate word to describe him with is 'hearing impaired ' or partial deafness because I myself is a deaf person, as in completely deaf, thought l could speak. My complete deafness made it virtually impossible to further my education beyond secondary school into conventional universities as opposed to a university for deaf people. Or is it that there is a department for special students in UNIJOS from which he was specially lectured with sign language?

Yes, there is a special education department where visually/hearing impaired students study and graduate with degrees.

Na lie. He's the first graduate in his family and not Unijos. That,s my alma-mata and everyone knows that there are hundreds of deaf, dumb and blind undergraduates in that school. They are housed in the university's village hostels and are mostly special education students. Not new to us at all.

I'll take mine for checkup tomorrow. Thanks for this post. How can my brand new battery just run down like that? A friend lent me his and it ran down after 20 minutes. I just took the new battery for charging and they gave me one to use in the interim and in getting home just now, it has run down. Kudos OP.

yes 350k is sizeable to start.
1500 can cover cost of kegs and transportation comfortably with change self lols
Best state in North : Jigawa, sokoto, Adamawa, and borno. forget Kano. it's hyped.
you can only do well there if u doing biz in excess of 1000 kegs upwards and the market is saturated

Thanks again.

donparosky:
its usually a function of the density of your oil. ideally, it should be 40 of it but most coys accept 42-44kegs

Thanks a lot for your insight on this biz donparosky. Is 350k enough capital to take into this biz or does one need more? I stay in Benue and have been thinking of buying at Benue price and selling up north where the prices are a little higher.
Is the 1500 to 3000 Naira margin enough to cover transport/logistics and turn over a profit?
Are there ready buyers who can buy( let's say in Sokoto) immediately the goods get there?
Thanks again.
