I also sensed a tinge of jealousy on the part of the male dog almost like he had nursed bad feelings to the female one! But hey what do I know?

Yes from the beginning, he has been jealous but overtime they play together and it made me comfortable keeping them together.

Indeed sometimes he tries to hump or mount her and she will react then he walks away. He never attempts to kill before. Though he will growl and raise his voice but not more. .I'm also surprised.

Oh death.... I lost my Puppy today. My puppy died at 4 months. It's so painful.

She died today @ around 9:30PM. .. I went out to meet a colleague of mine, and I returned home and found her dead. They told me it was the bigger dog that killed her. According to them, they said the dog tried to mount her and she refused and bit him, then he violently attacked and sent her to Hell.

My puppy is a German Shepherd Dog, born 1st of March 2017. Died July 16th 2017.

She was my friend and family.

The people at home told me they tried to stop the bigger dog but he growled at them and continued to destroy her life.

I'm more than sad.. I was planning a good birthday for her @ 6 months.. and she is dead barely 4 months

the bigger dog on the other hand is just 7 months. . I have put him in my special cage where I keep my dogs whenever they act like beasts.. He is still growling and barking even from there now.

Now i am looking to buy another GSD(I love the German Shepherds) to replace my pup.

P.S If you live in Ibadan, i can show you some Cash-n-Carry Husky though from owners who have it and want to sell. Not all dogs need to be imported. Some dogs could be readily available across your street (You never thought about that i guess). But lets move on

Would you allow another person bully your dog in the name of dominance? Wouldn't you rather investigate deeply what your dog has against the person he is always barking at? Isn't that more civil than brutalizing the dog?

Isn't it cute? when your dog steals your shoe just to get your attention? or when your cat begins hit the kitchen door so you can come over? What's that thing your pet at home does just so you can give some attention?

Mine:
- My dogs can start fighting each other and raising voices so I will come out and meet them. If I don't they will come inside and start yawning so loud or start scratching at the same Time. I told my friend at work one day, she never believed until one time she slept over and she witnessed it. She was shocked.

- My female GSD will walk into the room and bark at me or my partner then she runs away. Wants us to chase her but If we don't, she will start crying

- My husky will yawn so loud if I'm busy and I don't touch him at all. He will yawn so loud like 10 times consequitively until I get angry and say "Hey! Shut up". He will do it again then run away lol

- My little GSD pup will yelp at me then pick up my shoe and run away. It's my shoe!!! I have to chase him. He will run away and sometimes pass the shoe to female GSD and she will drag the shoe under the car outside. If I shout, they will both return the shoe to me. so fun.

- My younger husky will just enter our kitchen and start 'talking'(howling). If I bend down to act like I'm listening, he will keep quiet then start licking my face but if I stand up, he will start howling again. Lovely dog

If a dog is cold with you at home, check yourself and try to get closer to the dog if the owner allows and see the dog become your friend overtime. So go and learn more or let me say, go and get a dog and stop reading books or watching TV.

In saner climes, the so called dominance is illegal so you know. If it's okay, they won't make it illegal. I live with 4 powerful dogs in my home so I definitely know what I'm talking about. I'm not against bossing your dog but YOUR DOG not someone else's dog. How can I allow another family member dominate my dog? are they the one feeding it? nah dem buy am? my dog? my money? even the dog will be disappointed.

Get the point here, you don't dominate a dog that isn't yours or let me say, a dog you don't take care of. Show love to a dog and see the dog love and respect you. He won't dominate you. Just try it and see.

It's obvious you know nothing abt domineering or dominating a dog?. Even chickens have their pecking order and humans have their social system. I'm sure you were trained to be civil and not just talk to or attack pple who are not your parents anyhow. You only fight if someone goes beyond the permitted social norms to threaten you or others close to you. You dare not challenge family members and others older than you. That's how domineering and dominating works in the human society That's how it shld be with dogs also since they live among us . They are the least in any family and shld be treated as such.

The bold part of your post is wrong, otherwise the dog should be warm to all family members and only wary of suspicious strangers. The Op specified that just 3 members of the family are involved. You shld have asked yourself why that?. You mentioned innocent dog in your post and you want it to be cool with only the owner?
There are a lot of materials online on Canine Psychology. Read them.

Maybe when you grow up and have kids you'll understand why the dog shld see your kids as higher in the "pack" than it. You only have one dog and you think that's all? What happens when you have 3 or more?

My dog, also barks and growls at my partner for 3 months until they finally got along. I did not 'dominate' my dog neither did my partner do that nonsense. The dog is doing his job. So Mr man, do your job by being wise

3. Why breed slant backs? Slant backs are not good for working. GSD is a working breed. Slant backs are bad at that. You don't expect a slant back to pull a stunt a straight back will pull right?

my dog is doing very fine.. Oh my dogs challenge any dog. A rott is just another dog. I have a 2 years old German Shepherd as well asides the 7 months puppy. I have adult dogs who have conquered rott before.

From the bolded, there's not much difference between you and the owner of the rott. You jeopardized the life of your puppy by voluntarily releasing him to fight a rott. I hope you've learnt your lesson.

Oh I do not regret it because if I had turn back, such trash will happen again. That's how similar thing happened few weeks ago when 2 local dogs charged. I did not let my dog fight them but this being the second time it's happening again, no I won't go away.

In fact, I had plans to go home and bring my remaining 3 dogs at home (I have 4) to loose on the rott. But I was busy at the vet.

It so touching, everytime I cannot freely walk my pet without some silly dog standing in our way. I have reported to the estate security, they did nothing. Now the owner has learnt never to let his dog out again. We both learnt I guess.
