The Benin people are some of the most accommodating people you can think of. Yes we pride in our great and rich history but taking other people's land is not what we think of. I will give you an Example

Just across the river ologbo you have what is today called Oghara Kingdom. Urhobowaado which a history blog states that the land ogharefe is actually a land of the Oba of Benin and rent was being paid for that land by the inhabitants even during colonial times. Today nobody in Edo even talks about it, because we see ourselves as one.

There are two communities just after Okada, one is called Utese and the other is Egbeta. The two communities have merged but they speak a different language that a Benin man in Okada doesn't understand. Infact Egbeta does not understand Uteses and likewise for the same. Even in Owan, near ifon in Ondo, their language is unique and different. Why should we want to claim Anioma land.

We don't care about these things, infact we just care about those who can come and make our land a better place by contributing positively. The only state bigger than Edo state in south south and south east is cross river.
