PoliticsRe: I Know What I’m Doing, Buhari Tells Critic, Dele Momodu by guardsman: 10:30am On Jul 16, 2015
PMB should hav rebuked rather than giv any attention to Mohmodu, printer of dat over-hyped ragsheet dat symbolizes d glorification of decadence, greed & conspicuous consumption.
I read thru his article & it was so full of insincerity & double-speak. d coward couldn't even boldly take a stand but was speaking frm all sides of d mouth.
Mohmodu, d fat fool has always been & will always be nothing but an opportunist & an attention-seeker. d way he uses d unfortunate incidence of June 12 & Abiola for personal gain & glory at every small opportunity is nauseating.

15 THINGS YOU DID NOT KNOW ABOUT BUHARI

- He is the 23rd child of his father. Buhari was raised by his mother, after his father died when he was about three or four years old.
-He had 10 children (two are deceased).
- Buhari undertook military training in three countries (the United States, India and the United Kingdom).
- He reared cattle as a young boy.
- He has eight military medals.
- He knew his successor, Ibrahim Babangida, was going to overthrow his government.
- He was imprisoned by Babangida for nearly four years
- His mother died in 1988 while he was in detention and was not allowed to attend her funeral
-He was one of the two private African individuals to be invited to US President, Barack Obama’s inauguration
- In 1983, when Chadian forces invaded Borno State, Buhari used soldiers under his command to chase them out of the country, crossing into Chadian territory in spite of an order given by President Shehu Shagari to withdraw.
- He rejected an offer to work with the late President Umaru Yar’Adua’s government.
-He appointed the current Senate President as the Governor of Niger State in 1984.
- At 72, he would be the oldest person to ever rule Nigeria. The youngest being Gen. Yakubu Gowon at the age of 32.
-He is the third Fulani person to rule Nigeria.
- He had military training alongside a former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Aloysius Katsina-Alu.

Became the 4th president of the 4th Republic in the 4th months on the 4th attempt.

He is currently ruling you and I whether you despise him or not

Congratulations sir.

Pls edit d bolded from ur post because it's not true. Bukola was just a child in 1984. What u probably meant to say was dat d people's General imprisoned Olushola Saraki, Bukola's father & other members of d discredited national party of Nigeria (NPN) for corruption

To d eternal shame of TANoids, NOIPolls named after its creator, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala (NOI) has carried out a poll which reveals dat d overwhelming majority of nigerians ar satisfied wit d president's performance.

Now dat stealing is corruption, i would be surprised if GEJ who superitended over d most massive looting of our national treasury in history escapes jail.

Buhari initially said he met an empty treasury. But where did he get the $1.7b for the bail-out if not from GEJ's left treasury? His Special Assistant countered NLNG without telling who cared to listen where they got the money if not from the GEJ's left-over. What I had known is that APC/Buhari are thieves who appear to be seen as saints. Are they not the same Nigerian politicians like other parties? Foolish ones make me to believe that only Buhari is not corrupt in Nigeria.
U ar getting it twisted. PMB met a virtually empty treasury where d federal govt had to borrow money to pay staff salaries.
d NLNG money came after may 29th.
This is a direct quote frm Gov Oshiomole - "So I said, thank God this money came after the departure of Okonjo-Iweala and President Jonathan. If the PDP were still in charge in Abuja, this money would have been taken.”

Other monies hav been coming in since may 29th, that's why d foreign reserves hav moved up frm $29b to over $31b.

So lets examine this defense presented by Senator Ike Ekweremadu:

(1) 7th senate session terminated 4th of June

(2)Within 5days, between 4th and 9th of June, Senate Standing Rule/Order was modified to allow for the process where Ekweremadu emerged as the Deputy President.

(3) Ekweremadu now claims that the rules were modified by bureaucracy.

Ladies and gentlemen, Senator Ekweremadu must believe that we are all fools. He and his cohorts will produce this "bureaucracy" who modified the rules, else they will pay their due price for this crime. If this is Ekweremadu's defense, then I'm afraid he is a goner.

Ekweremadu would have us believe that none of the senators reviewed the rules before the 7th senate session began or at the beginning of the session as customarily done. This is a sign of gross irresponsibility and possibly criminal activity. The days of abusing the Nigerian people and insulting the intelligence of Nigerians with these 419acts with impunity are over.

Very high price will be paid for this crime.
Great analysis. Ekweremadu's defence is weak. dat he was waiting to be sworn in to d 8th Senate is no defence. Between d 4th & 9th of june, d standing Rule of d 7th Senate which states dat 4 any presiding officer to emerge, he must score 2/3 of d total  number votes was changed to 1/3 & was used 4 d election of d 9th of June. Ekweremadu was cited as having conspired wit d Clerk of d Senate to forge d new rules. Someone illegally changed d rules. Whodunnit! Ekweremadu has questions to answer.

the share of the ECA was it of benefit to the masses? what and what were the used for if you answer is a yes?
the problem is that you don't understand the mindset of the NEC and is the ECA constitutional?
Free yourself and let the truth surface...
Why do you think Saraki and Dogara are pained about the unconstitutional ways APC are trying to make things against the best for the masses thereby causing repetition of PDP but just rebranded APC...
The NEC must always have the day so he needs to man up because he is the president of the country and not the NEC only... If truly, this was true as said by NOI and you say it is not justified, where then do you expect the money of subsidy to come from and at whose expense if not the citizens?
Wouldn't you have rain more curses on him and not the NEC for scarcity?
Please let us be rational here... you just don't rule a straight line against a reading and you call it rule of law... his principal objectives are Nigerians and Nigeria which they NEC care less...
What was done with the EC revenue given to them even with NOI advise for savings because raining days approaches?
If these people refuse heeding these advice don't you think it calls for a rethink as a president?
Since the Legislators are not part of this, He is the premier of the executive and has the power on his office to do so for the best interest of his people .
So because the NEC are part of the whole should the citizens suffer at their mercy?
It is wickedness to the NEC because it was presented and didn't take them on surprise called first hearing...
the NEC are wicked and selfish, so i vehemently support it...
As for the extra budgetary spending it is the duty of the legislators and backed by constitution... which constitution backs that of ECA this is why they always hold the FED and the citizens at ransom but concur only on their selfish interest and desires...
[b]We do not know 4 sure if d illegal withdrawals benefited d masses or not but going by GEJ govts antecedents of favouring d cabal of subsidy barons & govt sponsors, i would say it probably didn't.
Ahmadu Ali, fmr PDP chairman & GEJ's campaign director was found culpable 4 d subsidy bill ballooning frm N421.5b in 2009 when he became chairman of PPPRA to 2.19 trillion in 2011 when he single-handedly increased d number of importers frm 49 to 140 to accommodate PDP fronts, cronies & sponsors. One of those arraigned by EFCC in d subsidy scam was his son, Mamman Nasir Ali who runs Nasaman Oil Services. Another is Mahmud Tukur, who runs Eterna Oil and Gas Plc & is d son of Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, former PDP chairman.
We ar not in a Dictatorship where one man decides what is & is not in d best interest of nigeria. d President's powers ar not absolute. d money belongs to d federal govt & d 36 states & d NEC IS D AUTHORIZING POWER 4 ANY WITHDRAWALS. Any withdrawals in contravention of dis is illegal. QED
As for Saraki & Dogara, it is wrong to support treachery. I would never support any act of treachery & betrayal under any guise because it sends a wrong signal to all & sundry dat treachery comes wit its positive results.

PoliticsRe: #Bringbackourgirls Marching To Aso Rock To See Buhari (Photos) by guardsman: 1:53pm On Jul 08, 2015
bushdoc9919:
It has been 400 days since the Chibok girls went missing.

What must be pointed out was that this could have been prevented....if the then govt had upped its game against boko prior to the kidnapping. Especially as young ladies were and still are being kidnapped by Boko...Chibok was just the latest in a string of kidnappings.

What pains me about the kidnapping was the fact that some people...including elements of the government....viewed this kidnap as a plot to bring down GEJ. Now....every government faces trials...and the measure of the government is how it handles those trials. And the handling of this trial by the GEJ govt left much to be desired. Vital time was lost.....and delays were made. And it took a Nobel nominee to come and tell our govt to do its duty.

Indeed, I find the mindset of certain Nigerians who blame trials govt faces as a plot against Nigeria/tribe/religion etc as funny people. Trials are a part of life. It is how we handle them that determine how human we are...and how great we are. FDR...when faced with the Great Depression...did not blame the Republicans under whose watch it kicked off...but through his New Deal helped the US out of the Depression in the 1930's. In my opinion, Nigerian leaders need to respond better to problems...rather than fall apart and blame everyone. As seen in a certain video....which I shall not describe here out of respect to the dignity of this country.

And another thing....I dont get the people who cry out that the thing was a plot against GEJ...and by extension against Southerners, Chirstians, etc.(Especially as Boko has kidnapped more Muslim girls than Christians.).Indeed it was like watching the 1980's...when Muslims would blame Zionists for religious crisis in the far North.Indeed the hate displayed by certain people against the CHibok ladies leaves much to be desired. All I can say is....Chibok isn't about you, GEJ, Buhiari, the North, the South, 2015,1966, 1967-70, 1986, 1987...or anybody. It is first and last a human tragedy...and the best we can do is support and pray for the families affected by the tragedy...while expecting our govt to do its duty.

I reiterate....trials happen so that we can prove our mettle. Not so that we can sit down and cry about how everyone is plotting against us. And if the current govt behaves that way....then we remove them come 2019...and vote in a govt that would not blame anyone for any problem but would formulate solutions. If Nigerians cannot blame themselves.....for their problems...then how will we progress...united or divided?

As we stand in silence and mourn the tragic loss of lives so young....let us remember that the CHibok ladies , and the many women of the North Kkidnapped by Boko have dreams and aspirations that have been crushed. Let us leave behind mere speculative drama....and let us cast aside our bitterness....and for one minute pray for the Chibok girls and their familes...and the many others too who weep today over missing loved ones. Pray too...for those fighting the evil called Boko.

And to our Govt....PMB....do your work. We elected you to sort out this mess. We don't want stories of inter-agency rivalry....we want action, and action now. Do your job Mr Buhari....and end this nightmare.
Thanx 4 dis write-up. I think d story of dis insurgency could hav been different if only GEJ saw it as an insurgency. Rather he listened to d voices of fear, suspicion & division who sold him d lie dat it was northerners trying to make d nation ungovernable 4 him. He therefore did not see d people of d N/East as his constituents but saw them as people who were trying to make d nation ungovernable 4 him. Having left undone what he should hav done, he discovered d truth in d twilight of his inept presidency & tried to make amends. It was too late & he got what he deserved. Otuoke straaaaaight!
Unlike d C-in-C who went dancing skelewu in kano hours after d Nyanya bombings, PMB knows dat it is an insurgency & has a higher chance of ending dis carnage. We'll keep up d pressure & at d same time pray 4 his success. God protect d girls. God bless our president.
