JAWBONE: Great stuff
The APC zombies masturbating on this thread should know that there is a lot more to achieve than this. The PDP administration also recorded achievements like this but it was not enough to save them. After 4 years you don't expect reasonable Nigerians to jump up and down over a wagon assembly plant that is yet to takeoff. There is a lot of work for the APC to do to show that they are better than what PDP offered and frankly they have not shown that so far.
Most of you celebrating and using this opportunity to mock people from other region are either paid agents or poverty-stricken individuals with a warped mentality of what development is. More of this needs to happen before we can beat our chest. No single administration will solve all the problems in Nigeria but at least do your own bit and move on. It is better to move Nigeria forward a little bit and far more acceptable than to drag her several years behind through unbridled corruption, that is what the PDP has done. No amount was too big for them to steal. |

kettykin: The 3 rolling mills in Jos , Katsina and Oshogbo are all dead they died primarily because of location if they were sighted close to raw materials or close to market or close to industries they would have been thriving , if Nigeria does the right things, everything would work well , this should have been sighted near Lagos or Ajaokuta steel complex or near Port Harcourt for proximity to raw materials , tool stock and killed Labor ,they will be close to similar industry offering the same services and could pull skilled direct labor or consultancy.
Watch the Project 10 year from today 09/11/2019 The three rolling mills are not working because Ajaokuta that is supposed to supply them is not working. It has nothing to do with location and the railway that is supposed to transport the materials are just being completed. You can now have an idea why the rolling mills are moribund. |

kettykin: Is this not one of the reasons why Nigeria is dead. What on earth is a wagon assembly line doing in kajola. The same factors that made the same people put a nepa grid center in osogbo of all places . If you must cheat Nigeria at least cheat wisely Where do you suggest and why? |

Nigerians will eventually come to appreciate this administration. It is far more focused than previous ones.
People who are looking for instant results may not be impressed though. |

How long ago was the border closure? It is definitely not long enough to make any reasonable assessment beyond the difficulties faced by people who crosses the borders on a daily basis. IMF and quack assessments. Do they really think the economy of Republic of Benin will collapse a couple of weeks after the closure? |
Politics › Re: Border Closure; A Colossal Blunder by Guestlander: 1:16am On Nov 05, 2019 |
NGpatriot: Border closure is not the beginning or the end of our economic woes, but it's definitely a task that must be done regardless of what issues farmers are facing or who and what cronies are benefiting or not from the closure, we still can not leave our border ajar while smugglers from all over the world smuggle not just rice into the country, but also weapons, drugs, dangerous and expired merchandise, cars, trucks, petroleum products, textiles and so on.
Textile smuggling and cheap Chinese imports from China killed our textile industry, most of the cars in our auto showrooms are ally smuggled cars that we did not collect 1 kobo duty on, we practically lose hundreds of billions revenue every year.
When smugglers boycutt our official point of entries, they deny us valuable revenue, they undermine our economy and sovereignty.
Understandably, there are farming issues that Nigeria must address, but this is not about rice or any singular factor.
Stop being selfish and one-sided, the picture is bigger than your rice or your farm. Aptly said. |

Similar plants were sited in other parts of Nigeria. VW in Lagos and Peugeot in Kaduna. Anammco probably survived because they made trucks and not passenger vehicles. |

FYI, this is 2019. Nobody takes to the street to protest Buhari's govt; you don't need me to tell you why. It is ultramodern when what you had was overcrowded buses with tiny seat. After the journey you will have bruises all over your body even when the bus was not involved in any accident. |
