There's no way the removal would not have some immediate spike in prices whether you do 50% or 100% the eventual goal is far more beneficial to the overall economy and the greater number of Nigerians than the initial pain.
In any case, it wouldn't be worse than the currency change on which Obi and his supporters kept mute.
