Why not you Hausa-Fulani and Yorubaa unite to form country with monarchy and leave us SE and SS alone. Gosh Afonjas! Jealousy? Two traditional leaders minding their own business without interfering with yours and you are here complaining! Don't you have your own business to mind? |

Mr. Roaster, the person who is being roasted right now is your pastor and I am afraid he will be nicely done if he doesn't come out quickly to defend himself or confess his sins like everyone else. |

luvinhubby: The burden of proof lies with the accuser, what evidence, at least one, that has been presented by Otobo here?
None, except wild allegations. Look, if these allegations were made against any regular Joe no one would care. There are millions of people out there who could be potential victims if these allegations are true. The pastor as far as we know does not engage in other businesses that could be funding this alleged behavior other than church offerings. I wouldn't like my tithe to go to funding any sexual escapades. |

Maybe you are waiting for your turn to be the next victim or your relative. Just note this, you will be forgotten just as you have forgotten the current victims. If you are a southerner, then you are nothing but an unwise one just like many that populate the south as well and giving the North more power to do what they do. This is exactly the type of foolish obfuscation I was talking about. This scandal has nothing to do with any herdsman. This is not about south and north fight, it simply a case of a man of God allegedly living a life many supposedly unbelievers would not live. Shame this girl by throwing her "lie" expose her lies and prove everything she said is not true then we can move on to her motives like whether she was sponsored to tarnish the apostle. Simply calling her a liar without going after her own words is simply dishonest. |

If the police go to him for questioning, he will answer them and if the girl goes to him to meet him and confront him with all these allegations, he will as well respond or say something but the prostitute went to social media. So he does not suppose to respond to a lunatic. Very well, I take this to mean that someone is definitely lying and at this point you cannot say with certainly whether it is the girl or the Apostle. |

Let the police go and do the verification the girl asked them to do, why will Pastor Suleiman defend himself over useless accusation by a prostitute daughter of a nobody. We don't know what he saw and what he didn't see. For the sake of his followers and admirers as well, he shouldn't pretend as if this girl is some lunatic he never met because it doesn't look like that to many people. |

Mboi2: Why would Pastor Suleiman provide his passport, to verify what? If you people like bring 5000 prostitutes and pay them to claim Pastor Suleimsn is patronizing them, what's his business there? He who wants to believe does that on his or her own Accord. When Satan tempted Jesus, Jesus did not do what Satan asked him to do so as to prove he is God, instead he asked Satan to get behind him. That is what pastor Suleiman is doing to the demons that are doin this to him. Apostle Suleiman is not Jesus Christ. He is a mere mortal like you and I and therefore he is not infallible. I didn't say the pastor is guilty of anything but indeed if the is girl lying why can't the pastor simply say everything she said is a lie. He didn't say that he started talking about marine kingdom! Marine what? A "prostitute" is accusing you of sending a lot of money to her several times and spending time with her in various places and asking the police to verify her claims and all you can say is that marine kingdom is after you? I don't buy that sir. |

Fremancipation: In that case you are grossly underestimating the immense advantage that the population of lagos is to it. That population which is inflated by igbos and all Nigerians is what attracts investments to lagos. Investors don't pour money into places with tiny populations. Once that population reduces, it becomes less attractive. Simple economic.
For example Uyo has good infrastructure but low population. That's why they are struggling to attract investments. There was Lagos before the influx of Ibos and there will be Lagos if they decide to leave. Life will go on, a new set of settlers will come and the time ibos were in Lagos will become just another point in history. |

Fremancipation: Those Igbo billionaires you speak of are free to remain in Nigeria. That is their cup of tea. My interest is with the Igbo masses and their future generations. We have seen the mistakes of One fake Nigeria and will plan our futures in critical ways that avoid those mistakes. The future of Yorubaland is not tied to whether or not some people are using our ports just like the future of Ibos are not tied to the interests of a few billionaires. |
Politics › Re: Can Yoruba And Igbo Co-exist? by Guestlander: 5:10pm On Mar 15, 2017 |
Fremancipation: Everything I have seen so far have shown that yorubas need Nigeria united. The unity of Nigeria in its current form benefits them as lagos is the major access for trade via its ports. This forces a country of 180 million people to depend on it for everything. Imagine if Nigeria breaks up and the population drastically reduces, what then becomes of the Lagos economy and all the debt that they have incurred. So this is why yorubas are fighting tooth and nail to make sure Biafra is never restored. And the ibo business people who grew billion naira businesses on the back of the 180 million population doesn't need Nigeria? Trust me most ibo billionaires will defend Nigeria with their lives, only poor and suffering ibos are protesting and getting shot for nothing. A separate ibo nation will still be faced with similar problems Nigeria is facing today. |

Another round of meaningless obfuscation. How difficult is it to ask the lady and the pastor to provide their passports and all these nonsense can be laid to rest. Is it by coincidence that a "cheap prostitute" and a pastor are traveling to the same country and staying in the same hotels at the same time? Nigerian are weird if you tell them your governor is a thief they will reply by saying the governors of Adamawa and Gombe are also thieves just to obfuscate the main issue. |

Fremancipation: In that case, you might as well say that Igbos need the world to become one country because last I checked, Igbos are almost everywhere doing business. Not just in Nigeria.
For example My uncle with his partners have already cornered majority of the auto spare parts market in Ivory coast. Does it now mean that my uncle now want Nigeria and Ivory coast to be the same country? If you know this why then do you think Yoruba will need Nigeria more than ibos? Is spare part selling something your uncle was born with and therefore cannot be done by any other person? |

uduak2016: Yes and NO. It has to be based on something they have in common! Igbos, SS and Yoruba Christians? Yes! Igbos, SS and Yoruba Muslims? NO! The problem of yorubas is the yoruba muslims. These muslims are the ones quick to tell you that "religion" means nothing to yorubas that they are one. The yoruba christians rarely say this because they know deep in their hearts that these yoruba muslims are the obstacle to Yoruba progress as a nation and a willing tool of the Hausa-Fulani. Yoruba/christian dichotomy exists only in the fertile imagination of hateful folks who scream themselves hoarse online about a non existence issue. If Nigeria breaks Yoruba will go on as one united people regardless of religion, it has never been an issue as far as I know and will never be. |
Politics › Re: Can Yoruba And Igbo Co-exist? by Guestlander: 4:43pm On Mar 15, 2017 |
Igboid: No. It wouldn't.
The presence of Yorubas in Kwara, which Arewa will not free and who themselves don't even want to leave Arewa, would ensure that Yorubas would always be dragged into Northern agenda Factor in the presence of Islam in Yolobaland and the situation becomes even more complex. You should worry more about the millions of Ibos that will be forced to relocate back to your tiny real estate in the east and how they will feed themselves. |
Politics › Re: Can Yoruba And Igbo Co-exist? by Guestlander: 4:36pm On Mar 15, 2017 |
Fremancipation: Yes but not under the current political arrangement and add to the fact that Yorubas need Nigeria unity more than Igbos.
For example their lagos wont be what it is today if Nigeria didn't exist as a country and the honest ones among them have already admitted that fact here on nairaland.
If you compare the development of yorubas in benin republic where they have no lopsided advantage you will get an idea of what Yoruba land will look like without Nigerian oil money especially lagos. How can Yoruba need Nigeria more than the people who travel out their own domain to settle in every corners of Nigeria? More than the people who have a large population and very small land area? I don't understand why you people sometimes stand logic on its head. So Yoruba needs Nigeria to develop Lagos? What type of logic is that? |
