timdan: Hello corps members , i'm a new Batch C 2013 corps member posted to Enugu state, pls i want you guys to give me a brief orientation on : how do i get a bus to the camp from IBADAN , HOW is the socio economic life , job prospects, transport , accomodation and food stuff like , thanks as i anticipate your reply
Everything about Enugu is good. Enugu is the decent and peaceful state in eastern Nigeria. Enugu is a place where Anambra businessmen relax. It is quiet and save. It is always very cold in the morning. The awgu experience is not funny, because of the hills, but You will get use to it.
To be frank, if you can serve in the capital (enugu north,enugu south and enugu east) you will enjoy the state. Enugu is a rocky state, so you may have the challenge of getting water. The socio-economy is good. Bar is everywhere. We have museum. We have Stadium and library along ogui road, we have IMT, Esut teaching hospital.we have AIT. We have 82 division of Nigerian Army. We have polo park. We have Nigerian Breweries(ama brewery) in 9th mile corner and many other companies. You may not see as many companies as it is in Ibadan but you will not regret it. I love eating opa (just like moimoi). Most of the coal corper serve in secondary and ministry, few in other available companies (if u serve in the capital). Guy, I tell you that you can't get 100% satisfaction even to any corper that will be posted to Oyo state. So, always make yourself happy when the road is rough. Transportation is everywhere to connect you within the state and outside the state. The food is good too. Note their food is sold a plate not like mama put stuff, I hope you get what I mean.
The camp is located on a hill, where biafra soldiers used as their camp, It is called Ojukwu bunk.There is a gynasium at the camp. Make sure you snap a shot at the place.
Enter God is good or cross county or peace mass from Ibadan to Enugu. They will stop you at their park. I dont know much about their parks. There is Ogbete market, very close to enugu north LGA and there is Zenit bank opp the LGA which is at the corner going to Holy Ghost park. You will certainly see corper around to relate with. Ask for motor going gariki.stop at last bus stop and take Awgu mass transit. Welcome to coal copa state.

crackhaus: I have just one question...

Why do 'we' christians tend to mistake the voice of our conscience and intuition for the voice of God?
That's because the voice of clear conscience God dwells. He made us free moral agent to know both d good and d bad. Remember, satan wants to have the heart also. When you turn your heart to God, your conscious mind will feel his presence.

[quote author=Mazi_Omenuko]God speaks to us all through different means. The question is: can you hear the voice of God? Take the voice of God like a radio station, broadcasting through the radio waves. You need to tune to its broadcasting frequency to receive the broadcast. Wazobia fm is currently broadcasting, yet you can't get tuned to wazobia fm if your radio is not tuned to their frequency.

Do you get the gist?[/quote]Each blessed day, I read my bible, particularly in the early hour of the day and allow my inner heart to minister the bible verse to me. There are times, it comes thru dreams. Understanding of your dreams matter at this time, to know which is of God. However you can't hear from God in a noisy environment.

Most pregnant young girls don't want to have an abortion.it's the rejection that pushes them to.
Do you know there is life in the blood? Shedding innocent blood is an abormination b/4 God such the abortee and the co-sponsors have all sinned.

Govt= made law to kill
Then

The cleaniness promoted by islam:
all muslims are mandated to perform ablution before observing solat, clean up each time you urinate, mandated to not only clean up after intercourse but also perform a special purification even the sisters amongst would also do ds after their monthly period. ALAHU AKBAR!
The modesty promoted amongst muslim sisters: muslim sisters are to dress properly and even wear there hijab. ALAHU AKBAR!

Islam › Re: 3 Things You Love About Islam by guiddoti: 12:03pm On Oct 26, 2013
Do you mean it. I'm hearing this for the very first time.when one senator did such a thing, I was surprised. I pause here.
De Beauvoir: You are not ashamed of yorself, you actually came to justify the marriage of a 53 year old man to a 9 year old girl just because your prophet did it.
And please, spare me the lie that Aisha had attained puberty when the marriage was consummated. That is just a fabrication of your modern day scholars that are trying to protect Islam from having a bad reputation.
It wasn't possible for a 9 year old that lived in Mecca more than one millenium ago to attain puberty at 9years of age. Even if she had attained puberty (which she hadn't), can you tell me how a 9 year old child that is very mentally immature is supposed to handle the complications of marital life? Is it possible for a 9 year old to have the intelligence and experience that is necessary for her to be good wife and mother?
Health complications that result from early marriage in the Middle East and North Africa include the risk of operative delivery, low weight and malnutrition resulting from frequent pregnancies and lactation in the period of life when the young mothers are themselves still growing.
Early pregnancy can have harmful consequences for both young mothers and their babies. According to UNICEF, no girl should become pregnant before the age of 18 because she is not yet physically ready to bear children. Babies of mothers younger than 18 tend to be born premature and have low body weight; such babies are more likely to die in the first year of life. The risk to the young mother’s own health is also greater.
Also the marriage contract between Muhammed and Aisha was arranged when she was 6; when she was still a baby that could not even give her opinion on the matter.

This is the verse of the Qur'an and accompanying hadith that speak of men divorcing underage children;
Surah At-Talaq (65:4): And those of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the 'Iddah (prescribed period), if you have doubts (about their periods), is three months, and for those who have no courses [(i.e. they are still immature) their 'Iddah (prescribed period) is three months likewise, except in case of death]. And for those who are pregnant (whether they are divorced or their husbands are dead), their 'Iddah (prescribed period) is until they deliver (their burdens), and whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make his matter easy for him.

Tafsir/explanation of that verse that supports my point;
Tafsir Ibn Kathir;
Allah the Exalted clarifies the waiting period of the woman in menopause. And that is the one whose menstruation has stopped due to her older age. Her `Iddah is three months instead of the three monthly cycles for those who menstruate, which is based upon the Ayah in (Surat) Al-Baqarah. [see 2:228] The same for the young, who have not reached the years of menstruation. Their `Iddah is three months like those in menopause.

Hadith that talks about the verse and confirms that it is referring to immature children;
Sahih Al-Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 63: Narrated Sahl bin Sad: While we were sitting in the company of the Prophet a woman came to him and presented herself (for marriage) to him. The Prophet looked at her, lowering his eyes and raising them, but did not give a reply. One of his companions said, "Marry her to me O Allah's Apostle!" The Prophet asked (him), "Have you got anything?" He said, "I have got nothing." The Prophet said, "Not even an iron ring?" He Sad, "Not even an iron ring, but I will tear my garment into two halves and give her one half and keep the other half." The Prophet; said, "No. Do you know some of the Quran (by heart)?" He said, "Yes." The Prophet said, "Go, I have agreed to marry her to you with what you know of the Qur'an (as her Mahr)." 'And for those who have no courses (i.e. they are still immature). (Qur'an 65.4) And the 'Iddat [waiting period before remarriage] for the girl before puberty is three months (in the above Verse). [The last lines are what the man knows of the Quran.]
