There is no graduate that didn't study statistics in school, at the worse scenario as an minor course.

Have you ever seen anyone cutting hair 118 times a month? The analogy is simply to demonstrate what $2,000 can buy, taking data from the thread.

It's a shame the day I saw an Electrical Engineer struggling to remove a bottle cork. I simply collected it from him and rubbed the bottle neck a few times, and thereafter removed the cork. He was amazed but I quick to remind him of his elementary physics. Objects expand when heated. After rubbing my hand against the bottle neck, it expanded a little so that was why it was easy to remove the cork.

What we studied in schools are meant to help us in our daily living.
It's what you wrote, 118 times. A job in McDonald in the US can make you live average life unlike a job in Mr Biggs in the street of Lagos. Do the mathematics, too.

You already converted the $2,000 to naira at the parallel market rate, and you probably screamed "almost One Million naira monthly!".

A graduate earning half of that amount in Nigeria would be living better than the person you mentioned.

A simple analogy, with $2,000 monthly you'll be to have haircut 118 times (at $17 per cut) whereas with half of that amount (N500,000), you'll be able to have 2,000 haircuts (at N250 per cut).
Again, remember that the money is earned in US and would be spent in US.
Your analogy is right but how will you cut hair 118 times. The money in America is for Americans. But the least jobs in America can make you live average life, not what is obtainable in our hemisphere, bro.

alright.. $50 dollars isnt bad at all for a month..

even though we have that kind of service available to us here in nigeria..constant interruption power supply no go allow us enjoy am fully..this country don tire me i swear!..

this thread just dey give me hope..e just like say i dey yankee with una..
The funniest fact was that the leaders see all these things whenever they come here but would prefer giving the populace demagoguery promises. If you complain, some we say you are down grading your country when I know that my country is richly blessed, and we are able to do all these things for God's sake .

UI is very much finer than this. And from pictures I've seen, unilag, oau and Abu are really fine too
Maybe you weren't aware federal government spent resources for these first generation universities, not for second generation where uniport belong. The school has, indeed, improved to some standard. It wasn't like these during my time.

kudos to prof Nimi Briggs, the architect of new face of Unique Uniport. He started some of those buildings before I left the school.

Did you know that Isiokpo, a village after Omagwa, are regretting that the new road passed their back when Amechi wants to expand the road, the people rejected. Now, Isiokpo is underdeveloped compare to Omagwa and Elele.

His people, probably refuted, I guess. And Amechi is very mild when it comes to let's do this or not.

Am a living witness to his achievements. The journey from Odili to Amechi is a proof that Amechi, in his own way, did excellently well. The question will should ask is, why did he employ some many teachers?

Ameachi did a lot for education in Rivers state and it's a big shame if this pictures re true. His model schools in Rivers state can't be compared to none in the entire South-South
You expect 100% !He did very well for educational sector. Not only schools, but roads and health sector.

We have turned everything to politics. Let's Wike starts from those untouched areas or he thinks, he can do more than Amechi. Time will tell. If he is not satisfied for Amechi's achievements, we are expecting his 100%.

Hope the cold weather didn't affect you too much. If you ever make it out to the West Coast, my Wife and I are near Los Angeles.
That's what surprises me about the government and MTN and likes. Nigerians should get affordable broad band for schools, homes and Co. at lower rate.
