Here is the problem, how many Nigerians can afford a hotel room of N25,000 per night? Less than 1%. The level of extreme poverty in Nigeria is evidenced by the large crowds you see at embassies daily. How many Canadians do you see trying to get out of Canada?

Secondly, You talk of hotels built without mortgages in owerri. How many of them were built with legitimately earned money? See this is what puzzles me about Nigerians... your politicians rob you blind and here you are hailing them for the proceeds of corruption and sleaze?
hahaha no b lie!
That was why Dangote could employed PhD as a driver. hahhaha funny country.

Maen must wark! I don't know what to tell him

Christians should read the book of Nehemiah-- The strategy Nehemiah used to build the broken wall. Today's christians want God come down to fight.

Gather your loins, protect your domain and you will see how God will fight for you.

Shalom!

We've had these episodes of 'diaspora vs Nigeria' countless times on NL and it always descends into verbal abuse and insults. You can search the archives and see for yourself. It's more of a superiority fight. the 'I'm better than you' kind of thing. It is who we are.

Why can't we just learn that not everyone wants to relocate abroad and at the same time not everyone wants to remain in Nigeria? Home is where the heart is! It's the part you've chosen for yourself. Don't force it down on others.
Sorry bro, your last
statement, though "Don't force it down on others" huh? How I wish our leaders are reading these comments.

Lol funny comments.

No one who leaves this country will ever love these politicians for accumulating common shares to only their families.

oga madam, if you have ever enjoyed 24 *7 electricity supply, coming home will be worrisome ooo. is it internet access that MTN and Co can't make unlimited broad band for people at cheaper rate? God heal the system.

I wonder if our communities can't have public libraries as well. Abi oyinbo get double fixed head ni.

I dreamt that I had nails under my feet (not sure how they got there) and I was calling for people to help me remove it but they did not. By myself, I gently removed the nails and I woke up.

Guiddoti
Nails are weapons either for destruction and/or for construction. But in this context, it is an attack on you. Since you are able to remove it, it is a great deliverance.

You should note that enemies are setting traps. Paraventure, they might have gotten you, you will get deliverance ; you must be careful and prayerful, too.

please can someone help me with interpretation of these dreams. 1. i was fetching well but the water was brown nd the well was showing signs of caving in by d side nd i saw my neighbour beside that is like he was saying he did it cos of former occupant cos of envy. 2. i saw a man that look like a wicked man that has been terrorising me fell from a higher place nd turn to lizard i now run close to where it fell nd mash it with my sleepers nd i call a friend along when going to where it fell. thanks.
1. If you have been praying, God shall expose your enemies to you.
Fetching water is like fetching treasures of life. But there are forces polluting and destroying your effort, which God will expose them. Continue praying.
2. Lizard is an unclean animal, which one can refer to unclean spirit. You have got victory and deliverance over wicked spirit.

Your posts are so uplifting, thanks again. They voted wrongly, based on sentiments and tribalism, now they blame my beloved country for their woes. And their only solution is to encourage 170 million people to leave the country and seek greener pastures in America, how reasonable is this suggestion to any right thinking person? Cheers.
No one encourages anybody to leave anywhere. Op is sharing his experience in the US, which is normal to any new-comer.
In time memorial, Nigerians have been lining-up in the embassies to get visas. So, today's recession is not the reasons for leaving wherever they want to go.
The system is such a scumbag from ages, not even the recession making people leave the country.

Hmmm.... bro... most of the time you see a skilled worker... he's earning more than an above average (supervisor level) White Collar worker and people know that. Certain jobs you may look down on are widely known to be fairly well paying jobs. .... Painters, Sanitation workers,(city garbage workers),Police, Firemen, trailer drivers, crane operators, mechanics, technicians period, Postal Workers.... not too much academic qualifications required except for Police.... these are all jobs that if you complete secondary school you can step right into. But.... you need to be legal and all require that you take tests...yes... even Sanitation.. that's a tough test.the physical part. So don't ever feel that it is only degrees that can bring you great success. It's a different ball game. In fact... you have a skill then you are more likely to find a job faster.
In Nigeria context, those are hard labour jobs, not what it's like overseas. For example, a bricklayer earns less than 5 pounds for 8 hours, and you expect the same man to fully establish his family.

Is as much their is recession in naija, some people are not feeling it at all, same way in US,so many black or African immigrants are leaving a better life than the white you are see or call racist.
Those who are not feeling it should be politicians, I guess, in Nigeria.

Selling moi moi by a graduate now a big deal

what's so special in been a graduate if i may ask?

The reason why Nigeria is so fuckedup s because we've placed so much emphasis on education

mumu country.

Bill gate, mark zuckerberg of this world didn't see the four walls of university but look where they are today.

Only in Nigeria our so called graduates who can't even spell out their own name correctly get juicy jobs while the ones with brain are left with no choice than go abroad to look for greener pasture.
The whites, you guys praise, who are educated won't come so low in McDonald's. Though, I get your point.

Take back Nigerian high schools for American high schools, or vice versa. Bill gate won't be mentioned in your diary.
The society strive for their achievements, bro.

N power have refused to pay 32 states out of 36 states. In fact, they have stopped the payment and I already created a thread on that twice today but twice have i gotten it deleted by an idiot. In the thread, I said that the FG have scammed the citizens again and I asked if Seun is an APC member. I have never talked about politics on nairaland before but I suspect a foul play with the N power programme. FG is working in collaboration with nairaland to deceive the public.
Oga calm down! why your blood dey boil so hard that you have flooded every thread for how much?

TonyeBarcanista:
The message here is demand for restructuring, that is a renegotiated country.

Governor Wike was speaking within the context of Biafra, and the fact is that the people of Ijaw nation and the entire Niger Delta are not seeking for a splinter country nor do they have any business with iPod confusionist group.

Nigeria must be restructured to make any progress
The past government would have restructured IPod before now. At least, he was a member of the executive, having right to restructure the country. Don't you think it's a cry of coward and greedy leader.
