Politics / Re: Sanusi's CBN Performance: Soludo Was Better After All? by Guylan(m): 4:23pm On Feb 14, 2012
Amalaaba:

Please let Sanusi's tenure end before we condemn him.

For those who claimed that he is not qualified to hold the position, let not forget that he holds Bsc/Msc in Economics and BA/MA in Islamic studies.
By the way, the last FRB of USA Governor studied history in University.

It is grossly unfair that he is being accused of being Islamic fanatics for completing Islamic bank started by Soludo. Why are you not accusing Soludo of been Christian fanatics for removing Arabic inscription from our currency? Corruption (Financial/moral) in Banking was at its best during Soludo's regime, thereby creating so many paper manipulators.

It is easy to paint the other people black, because they belong to a different ethnic or religious group; that is apartheid.

By the way, i think Sanusi talks too much for my comfort.

What is Arabic inscription doing in our national currency in the first place? Is there any tribe in Nigeria called Arab.  Nigeria is comprised of three major ethnic groups and more than 200 minor ethnic groups. Nigeria is colonized by the British. English is our official language. So, whoever adopted Arab inscriptions in our national currency should be accused of religious fanaticism. Period! grin

Health / Re: Hiv Positive Guy In Dilenma And Needs your Help. by Guylan(m): 1:32am On May 12, 2011
This could be a "False Positive" result. Get tested again in at least two different hospitals. If it's still positive then see your doctor to initiate therapy. If it's negative in one of the later two results still repeat tests until you get a confirmatory negative or positive result. HIV infection will not kill you if you keep to your medications and follow your doctors advise. On the other hand,  I will not advise you tell your parents now - as they may think of it as a death sentence assuming they are not well oriented about the HIV virus. Tell them later when you are able to cope with the condition. Be strong and t ake it easy! sad sad

Politics / Re: Anambra Result Cancelled By INEC Over Irregularities by Guylan(m): 9:32pm On Apr 11, 2011
rhymz:

A lot of nigerians are so dumb and naive, how can anyone take to church such a frivolous accusation without any iota of evidence. Is it not clear to the descerning that Mr Anene is a bloody lier doing somebody's bid?
A man whom before the commencement of the elections was caught fake election materials and hounded by the police. I wonder why he was even giveb the chance again to preside over any aspect of the elections. I saw the man on TV and I could tell he was sb's labrador lapping up lies to the media to suit sb's purpose. The guy is a paid alarmist and the pauper I saw on TV couldn't have rejected such offer if realy he was given such an enticement. How come he did not report the case to the police before rushing to the press to get all sensational with his falsehood.
Let's face fact here and eschew silly bi-partisan politics.
Anaocha which is both the governor's and Akunyili's LGA, there is no how Dora Akunyili and APGA would not have pulled most of the votes there, thesame way he, Ngige pulled most of the votes in idemili north and south his part of Anambra.
He is crying foul because he knows if the results from Anaocha was cancelled he will have a clear lead. If he faultd the votes' margine btw him and Akunyili in Anaocha( Dora's own constituency) then same argument should be applied to his wide margin victory in idemili north and south( Ngige's own constituencies).
Everybody is just playing politics of mudslinging, Ngige knows the only exit point for him was to divert attention by crying wolf and at least get a re-run as has transpired. He is a sour loser and a desperado, he is fast running out of the the goodwill that he had accrued from Governorship days.
Thank God the Anene guy has been removed, it is obvious ACN is using him to fight dirty, seriously, with the ACN tsunami in the Southwest, I see another PDP in the making in not too far a distance. Soon there will be cross-carpeting of aggrevied PDP members and other mushroom parties to ACN just like it happened in Imo state. Thank God ACN did not win any sit in imo state, anyone that has been following the Imo state politics knows that majority of the present ACN members and flagbearers are aggrieved PDP members. These are the people we are shouting change and stuff for? I have observed ACN closely and I have observed that the party has every tendency to turn out like the PDP or even worse.
From imposition of candidate to their desperation to nationalize and oust the PDP, hence allowing corrupt money bag politicians that has the fund in any state to use the party platform without any serious scrutiny. No wonder the likes of Ararume are the financier of the party in Imo state. Change in deed! If change means changing an umbrella to a broom when the odds are against a politician then let such change die a natural death and get a decent burial, we Igbos do not need such a placebo in the name of change, it is either the real thing or nothing.

Good point!

Politics / Re: Prof Wole Soyinka's Comment After Nn24 Presidential Debate <<FALSE>> by Guylan(m): 4:11am On Mar 22, 2011
Prof. Wole Soyinka,

I totally disagree with Wole Soyinka's input. Voting for the right candidate who happen to be a member of PDP is not a manifestation of his so called '

total blindness syndrome'.

For now, I believe that changes will arise from within PDP. Strong-will oppositions from within PDP. A stand against old principles versus the new ones

brought by new political blood (GEJ). change can still come from within the PDP. Prof. Wole Soyinka should have known that unless he's biased

against GEJ. grin

Politics / Re: I Don’t Advocate Violence - Buhari by Guylan(m): 7:59pm On Mar 18, 2011
I never liked the idea of  former military dictators campaigning to become the president of Nigeria.  No matter how good or intelligent they may claim to be.  No matter what change they may promise to bring. No matter whatever they promise. The truth is this: These are the same guys who laid the foundation of the mess upon which Nigeria stands today. Use your tongue to count your teeth before you vote. As for me, I'm for a change and no former military dictator will smell my vote grin

If RSA claims to be the Giant of Africa, why are some Nigerians complaining on NL. Complain to our corrupt politicians who cannot use the " black gold" money to fix the power failure in Nigeria, who cannot construct good road network across Nigeria, nor provide water supply.  Haba, what makes Nigeria the Giant of Africa in the first place  -  population? angry angry angry angry angry

~Bluetooth:

Nigeria celebrate INDEPENDENCE on 1st october, what is ibo celebrating on ibo day ? Independence or what ? Why did the celebrating co-incide with independence day celebrating activites ? The celebrating is not a NATIONAL one so,it should not have been held in the federal capital but in iboland.hausa day, ijaw day, itsekiri day, yoruba day are not celebrated, why is ibo celebrating ibo day ? For what ?Am i supposed to feel threatened or what ? Sorry you got the wrong guy cuz i'm untouchable !

@bluetooth

you must be the most tribalistic dumb that exist in NL. How dare you insinuate that Nigeria (be it in Abuja or Owerri) is not the homeland of the Igbos. Like it or not,  the Igbos are Nigerians and as a result have the right to celebrate any non violence activity they want in any part of Nigeria.
So, Mr/s BT, I Pray that  you recover quickly from your mental madness and dump your hatred and tribalistic mentality towards the Igbos.  angry angry

Sports / Re: Siasia Wants N15m Per Month To Coach Eagles by Guylan(m): 4:24am On Aug 14, 2010
Sia Sia should choose between serving his fatherland (giving his best to his nation) and planning to have his own share of the national cake. Nigeria will not progress if everything is just about what Nigeria can do for us. It's time Nigerians start thinking of what we can do for our nation not how much we will be paid to give our best to our great country.

Please don't waste your money and/or time to go to Ecuador hoping to get any English teaching job. You are being misled angry angry angry angry
Most Latin American countries are even poorer than Nigeria and nobody nor any Government entity in Ecuador is gonna pay you USD1200 for teaching English. If you are tricked to believe this story and spend your fortune to go to Ecuador, you will regret it for the rest of your life. A word is enough for the wise. Be warned!
