Its only an onye Anambra that would understand why this is a big deal. For a state that loved education so much, producing some of Nigeria best academic exports in the past, our educational structures and system sank so low at a point that our children and wards lost Interest altogether. There was a time that students in Anambra stayed at home for one year because of strike. Peter Obi saw the decay in the system and decided to clear the putrid table by handing over the schools to the mission. The beautiful outcome of that administrative master stroke is what we are celebrating today. The church both Anglican and Catholic mission has restored our pride of place in education in Nigeria. 20 years from now, the whole nations will understand the education revolution that is happening in Anambra state. 55 Likes 5 Shares |

johntolu: More gibberish from a low level zombie. You just proved that your fathers were useless, the reason why the voice of one man drown all their collective noisy murmuring. Igbos continue to outsmart you all till today. We got ya all independence from the British and today the you guys somehow cast expectation towards the east to lead your liberation from the new colonialists in town. You shall all wait for a long time. Igbos will fight for Igbos alone, carry your load oga. You are not ashamed to admit that you and your entire tribe can not change anything in Nigeria. That because of Zik, you have handed over your destinies to almajiris foment futajalon. The history of the world is replete with the stories of great men and women who changed the trajectory of life event. Siddon look is not a virtue, it is mere cowardice. Your mannequin president, threatened the entire ethnicities in Nigeria who are not Fulanis. He is forcing down Ruga down your throats by force. But the only thing you picked up from his speech is the his snide remarks on Igbos. Guy is your life so worthless that it is no longer news for someone to announced national television that your ancestral land is a passage way for his terrorist brothers. That they have his support to visit mayhem, rape and destruction upon you. Is this still part of Azikiwe fault? Was Azikiwe the person that led the Yoruba elders and Kings to run to the colonialists and begged to be colonised when they got tired of killing each other? While Azikiwe tribemen held off the brits for 13 years fighting to be left alone, you guys voluntarily gave up your freedom. What, clause then are you talking about. 1 Like |

Goke7: The usual boring rhetoric. Igbos did not start migrating to other parts of Nigeria from 1999 when PDP took over. If anything, the PDP era saw massive u turn towards investing in igbo land. Secondly, we are a business oriented ethnicity. Up coming business men with little cash who wants to grow, look for virgin markets where the services he renders are not common, so as to have an advantage. That is why you see Igbo of business men in remote villages of the north. They are simply looking for virgin markets with less competitors. Business 101 3 Likes |

Goke7: Igbo political leaders would not be the one to push for referendum. They have learnt to behave like ostrich just like the rest of dumb people occupying the geographical space called Nigeria. Nigerians will all run together to the national assembly in unison to demand referendum when the time comes. Fulanis herdsmen are ensuring that everyone sits up for the impending catastrophe. Igbo leaders will continue to appear unserious until every other Nigerian gets sense. Meanwhile, Nnamdi Kanu will continue to send their regards to you people. 2 Likes |

djon78: Pictures of Onitsha, Awka, Enugu, Owerri and Aba has been displayed thousands of times on this forum. Igbo cities built up 100% by indigenous population. The kind of houses Igbos build in their remote villages will put to shame some houses in Lekki and maitama. Anambra industrialisation is wholly indigenous and latest statistics show that it is the state with the highest employment rate in Nigeria. This is despite being the 8th most populated state in Nigeria. So investing home is never our problem. The issue is that FG by default has decided to abandon infrastructure support for the east there by taking large chunk of our collective wealth as a nation to other areas outside south East. They want to keep us away from the bazaar but we no gree. Since, you don't want the money to flow in East we must follow it where ever it is. We do not carry money from the east to invest in any place, instead we leave the east to tap the resources of a place, make the money there and reinvest in the same place for the sake of posterity. We hate poverty dear. You guys cannot force us to have your kind of mentality. We like to live in beautiful houses abeg. This life na once. We own properties even in Afghanistan if you check well. johntolu: You just confirmed that your father's were just mere spectators when it mattered most in the history of Nigeria. If your father's were not slow, Nnamdi Azikiwe would have been stopped in his tracks. Opportunity was presented to your fathers between1966-1967 to chart a new destiny for their generation. Brits and Fulanis wouldn't have fought wars on two fronts. Guess what they did? They ran back to Nnamdi Azikiwe position and chanted one Nigeria on top of their voice. Igbos through Ojukwu presented an opportunity once more and the ever scared westerners ran back to Brits and Fulanis tail between their legs without a fight. Now 50 years after, with 3 years as military head of state, 8 years as civilian president and 6 years as civilian vice president, the cries continue. "Why didn't the igbo man Azikiwe, save us"? 3 Likes |

Goke7: Same way you need enough mental capacity to understand that right to citizenship is not dependent on whims of stupid people who populated a particular arid area scorched by sun. May be the Brits did not explain to Almajiris, when they were urged to go and bring back the Igbo people who have renounced all the leverages to return to their domain in 1966, that you can't ask them to leave again. You wanted to see our faces back in your backyard so much that you committed the sound of more than 400,000 soldiers to make it happen. Enjoy your market 2 Likes |

Why have the whole country not turned against the terrorist Fulani's killing and displacing indigenious populations in Nigeria. In addition to sponsoring the Olympic-bound Nigerian national basketball team, AFA Sports kits teams in more than five African countries, and sponsors different football leagues as well sports camps and academies. “Sports can become a real economic force for the entire continent,” says Udezue, who has recently been appointed chairman of the Anambra Basketball Association in Nigeria’s eighth-most-populous state. Now this is commendable. The guy is doing well for himself and going places. Kitting five national basketball teams no be moi moi. O post=102722216: A very intelligent response. Very well said. More could be achieved in Anambra state, but considering paucity of funds with several capital infrastructural development on going, leaving out some areas is inevitable. Kudos to the Anambra state government under Obiano. He is positioning the state well economically and in the future we will all enjoy it. That said, I believe he could still do an ameliorative intervention on the said access roads to ease the pains of commuters if he wants. Somebody close to him should bring it to his notice. You never can tell what will happen. 2 Likes |
