Politics / Re: Onitsha River Port Concession To Generate Over ₦50 Billion Revenue by gwafaeziokwu: 7:26pm On Feb 04, 2022
Odingaoz:

Igbo's WISE UP very well.

Election is around the corner, APC government is throwing out these juicy ideas that will sound very good to your ears.
This so called Onitsha concession business/project has been in the pipeline for more than a decade. Whenever election is around the corner, the government in power will recruit a construction firm to send some workers and excavators to the site, driving trucks around the river bank so that everyone will think the project is up coming.
As election gets closer, Nigerian government will engage some media politicians to discuss on the economic benefits to the eastern Nigeria.

IGBOS,,,, DON'T BE FOOLED ANYMORE WITH ELEPHANT PROJECTS FOR POLITICAL VOTES.

Let's watch and see my brother. But I trust Soludo so much. He is stubborn and will like to see this River port come to life.

Did ACN wear a tribal outlook despite having a regional origin?. Was it registered as a Yoruba party?
What was the intention of Obi mounting the podium in front of a large crowd to label a rival party contesting for the same seat as a Yoruba party?
What was the intention of ibos labelling APC as Amala & ewedu party or Almajiri party?

These are the questions your little brain should be struggling to answer.

Dsalvo:

Let us try and add intellect and absolute integrity to our discussions. Nigerians will buy products from their worst enemy if such fulfils the holy grail requirements of quality and value.

This is the simple reason Toyotas are immensely popular in Nigeria with the Corolla probably being the most common cars on Nigerian roads by far.

Innoson, has been operating for a while now with no significant traction to bring it close to Toyota etal.

Igbos, in my opinion, only see money and this leads them to always chase it to the detriment of quality, brand development and creation of meritoriously iconic and desirable products.

Britain lost out to Japan, per manufacturing of white goods, and TV/audio technology, in the sixties to the seventies because they accepted that Japan could produce more reliable and cheaper versions of those goods bevause they had the comparative advantages to do so.

Britain therefore followed the laws of comparative advantage by scaling back on her manufacturing of less reliable white goods that would struggle in the market because others produced more reliable alternatives that were cheaper.

This then allowed the nation to focus on other areas she had competitive advantages in that made the concessioning of her white goods/electronic products manufacturing sector to Japan not socio-economically devastating for too long.

Vainglorious Igbos can never think like that. You will all back Innoson ignorantly and accuse others of tribalism for not making the group the national approved car supplier to Nigeria without the integrity to accept that others make cars that are far more reliable and cost-effective to own than Innoson can ever produce.

Innosons fundamentally flawed model of procuring cheap automotive parts to assemble cheap and comparatively unreliable vehicle is self-harming because kobo-pinching Nigerians just don't see the brand as a viable alternative to Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mercedes, Peugeot etal.

Igbos can get away with such practices with fake electronics, fake designer wears, fake generators, inferior China car parts/batteries etal.

Yet vehicles are substantial outlays running into millions and no Nigerian will spend that on vehicles that will not be as robust and as reliable as others in the market let alone States and federal government.

This is what we keep telling you people. Yoruba and Northern business folks like Dangote, because they are about more than money alone, would rather not indulge an Innoson model at all.

They'd prefer to operate as Chief Adeojo and Dangote, as revealed here, operate.

I.e becoming major franchise producers, subsidiaries and suppliers of established brands than creating inferior and non-competitive new brands that will never have desirability value greater than even Tata in a hundred years because of inferior and cheap constructions.

Innoson is a lesson some of us tell you Igbos to learn. Some of your endeavours are not necessarily innovative or testimonies of Igbo 'greater business acumen' in comparison to others.

Rather, they validate the notion of objective business analysts that Igbos are mainly only driven by the desire to make money rather than to be excellent at what they do and create genuinely dominating brands as others dedicate themselves to doing.

Nigeria is a purist market per competitively superior product rising to the top in competition wirh others.
If Innoson is worth the hype, per the pockets of Nigerians, it will be the most popular brand in our nation no sensible Nigerian will shin regardless of their personal feelings abotu the ethnic identity of the owner.

Your statement below typifies the mentality of most Igbos. You propagate that the market is big enough for all levels, including absolutely crappiest of the crappiest that endangers life, so long as there is money to be made.

This is why Yoruba or Fulani/Hausa business folks will hesitate to follow the Innoson model, once they inspect the big picture, but Igbos will forge ahead with it to then be claiming they are smarter than others not knowing it is the other way round.

All Igbos will blindly defend Innoson but how many prioritise using the behicle personally and patriotically?

Also, can you seriously argue that the brand has not done as well as it can because value-loving Nigerians will be prejudiced against their own pocket in favour of ethnocentric discrimination against Innoson? Or is the truth that Innoson cars are crap Nigerians are not interested in?

You guys need to look at yourselves and raise the bar and stop making everything about money and ethnicity.

Another ethnic ice coloured gibberish. I will pass.

Who is afraid of competition? Innoson is already swimming against the tide with the non regulated influx of tokunbo cars into the country. Innoson do not need 100% of the Nigeria auto mobile share to thrive. He is doing well at the moment, maintaining his market share and trying hard to expand. His newly launched automated plant tells the story of progress.

With a population of 200 million people, there is enough room for everyone to operate, biko.

Peter Obi, the man Nigeria sorely need at the moment. The hyenas will do all in their favour to stop him. But it's all in the hand of ordinary Nigerians to throw their weight behind the man who has the capacity to put all political lunatics delaying the destiny of Nigerians in the Asylum where they belong.

A man that brought real democracy and development in a very stubborn state like Anambra, can turn the fortunes of Nigeria.

A dumb illiterate want to educate an Igbo man. Car manufacturing has become such a rocket science that fools do not believe that it can be done in Nigeria. What is wrong with you dumb heads.

Wht is hard about welding together some metal parts and pass them through remodelling machines in order to make it fine and smooth?

Yes, Innoson do not have financial capacity to withstand the losses that could be incurred in case of recalling of vehicle models if there was a design default after production. He is not as big as Mercedes or Toyota who could take such risk. So he plays safe by buying an already tested and trusted design done by Chinese Engineers. Note he bought the design, not the parts from them. In the auto manufacturing industry it's called Re-bagding. Then he bring the design down to Nnewi and uses his own raw materials and machineries to produce fantastic vehicles.

All the indeginous Pharmaceutical companies in Nigeria uses the British Pharmacopedia as the standard for manufacturing their drugs. Does that make them British companies?

Anambra is arguably the most civilized and economic feasible state in the South East, out of the problem facing Anambra, Akwaete cloth and his official car is the topmost priority.

Please let's us be straight for once please, let's imagine Sanwolu the Governor of Lagos state we love to criticise said his 2022 vision is Aso ofi clothing (Yoruba Traditional Dress) and to make Globacom his official airline. How would that feel in your ear?

Igbo textiles doesn't stop with Isiagu and Akwete.

I heard him say it in the video that what he is wearing is from Akwete, Abia, State. What we have in the northern Igbo territories and parts of Anioma is Akwa Ocha ( White clothes).

The Igbo political leadership have also gotten the memo. They are the reason Biafra nation is taking so long because they still believe Nigeria has something for them. If you go through school, great schools o,not glorified miracle centres where they write exams for you, and you are taught by great mentors and you truly allow the school to go through you, sir, you won't type what you just typed up there sir wink

If you have 'gone' to school and still turned out to be a person who keep making horrible decisions, you went to school for leisure and not for knowledge. Being educated in the true meaning means value of knowledge has been added to you and you are under obligation to use the value added to you positively. If you don't, you are not educated in the true sense of going to school.

That's why I always counsel folks to go to great schools, meet great mentors and study very hard to finish with great grades. Those experiences that cost you a lot are worth showcasing, defending and guiding jealously in all you do after leaving school because the school remains in you for life wink
