Kellzzyy: Do you have proof to the bolded or you just decided to join the noisy bandwagon because it's easier to go with popular trend of opinion. If not, you are big problem to us. Did you watch the recent daylight robbery at Edo State last week or the Ibadan bank heist two weeks before . Oga, there is a total anarchy in the fulani controlled security structure in Nigeria today under the useless leadership at Aso rock. Ever since the EndSARS protest ended. The difference is that in the east there is a convenient scapegoat. How this is not obvious to you beats me. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Kellzzyy: The real fool is you oga. You probably did not grew up in any city in the south East therefore, you suffer from acute self immolation like others. Years of unabated attacks by both the Nigerian state and its media against your people has had the exact desired effect it was meant to have. You no longer believe in your own very sacred cultural identity. Ohaneze ndi Igbo, Dave Umahi, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife and many others that should know have all come out to absolve Ipob of the killings in the east because they have access to the information you do not have. They know where the problem is coming from. But lily livered cowards like you who do not understand the grand security sabotage being orchestrated against your people come out everyday to mentally weaken people who are ready to stand up to the real aggressors. Cult wars of more dangerous dimension has happened in Awka in the past. Many young men gun down in broad day light just like that. There was a time in Anambra that security got so worse that G.U Okeke, Ifeanyi Okoye ( Juhel) , even his mother was kidnapped. Lots of high profile kidnapping and killings have happened before in the east and was later brought under control when the security forces decided to do their jobs. Those days, Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB were not in the scene. Instead of using the platform afforded you by social media to push the right narrative, you fall for the media propaganda against your own people. Or do you think all these malicious attacks are meant for Ipob alone? Oga let me shock you, as far as Nigeria is concerned, you are IPOB and IPOB is you. Do you know why? IPOB to them means Igbo because for the first time since the war ended, an Igbo group have asked the right questions and demanded the right answers without mincing words. Those questions and demands are threats to the existence of the fraudulent nationhood we all pretend to have. Fortunately, Igbos are mentally strong to differentiate between a Bar soap and detergent. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

aribisala0: Jesus Christ! So if the issue of 'guilty' was never on the table, what was the investigation meant to prove? Sometimes our biases could make us sound too illogical. If the investigation proved that the accused committed the offence, what term is it called by oga? |

The next Ebonyi governor might not be like Umahi, they could either get a Peter Obi at best or T.A Orji at worse . Either way, nke onye riri ka Obu. Willie Obiano is a real patroit. This is why APGA is good for us in Anambra state. Because with them we have been lucky with governors who are loyal to the cause of their people. Igboland sorely need to raise its head in the midst of deliberate infrastructure denial from the federal government. Politics / Geometric Power Takes Over Aba Ring-fenced Area After Nine Years Legal Tussle by gwafaeziokwu: 6:35pm On Feb 18, 2022 |
The management of Geometric Power has formally acquired the Aba ring-fenced area from Integrated Electricity Limited, a core investor in Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC), ending a nine-year legal battle over the rightful owner of the project. The asset was handed over by the National Council on Privatisation (NCP) through the Bureau for Public Enterprises (BPE) at a brief event on Wednesday in Abuja. Trouble started in 2013 following the privatisation exercise after Interstate Electric acquired 60% of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) from the BPE pursuant to a share sale and purchase agreement. Subsequently, the distribution licence was issued to EEDC over five states in the South-east, which area also included previously and exclusively licensed Aba Ring-Fenced Area granted to Aba Power Limited (APL). Advertisement On this basis, EEDC became the licensee in respect of the Enugu Distribution Area while APL remained the exclusive licensee of the Aba Ring-fenced area, creating a conflict between the two licences. The conflict was resolved in 2016 with the signing of an agreement carving out the ring-fence from Enugu DISCO for Geometric/Aba Power Limited. During the brief ceremony, Alex Okoh, director-general of BPE, described the development as soothing and commendable. Advertisement According to him, the NCP worked hard to see that the tussle was resolved and that the “right thing was done”. “The bureau initiated a series of engagements with various stakeholders, which led to one the signing of the agreement between Geometric Power and Integrated Electric Limited, the core investor,” he said. “I am pleased to announce that we are handing over this asset to a tenacious, very, very tenacious investor who has made a firm commitment to transform the Aba Ring Fence area into a model electric supply franchise, providing quality, stable and appropriately priced electricity to consumers, thereby unlocking the significant economic benefits of this commercial and industrial hub of the regional and national economy.” Barth Nnaji, chairman of Geometric Power, expressed delight that the legal tussle has ended, adding that his company was ready to provide reliable electricity to Aba. “The other government sold what was rightfully ours to the people who acquired EEDC. So, they simply bundled Aba as part of EEDC. It was done knowingly. That is why we went to court, and we’re grateful this administration resolved the issues,” he said. “We’ve paid the acquisition price of $26 million. I used to be on the other side of the fence and what we said during that time was that anybody that’s acquiring a DisCo should have the financial capacity or technical capacity, and was that’s what he brought in. “We have made the necessary investments required to not have any issues in terms of reliability of power supply. So, we have invested about eight times the amount of the acquisition already.” According to him, the company has built new substations and new power lines to ensure no disruption in service delivery. Advertisement “We have built new substations. We built new power lines, over 140 kilometres of new lines, we built four brand new substations. We’ve built gas pipelines with seven kilometres to ensure that we have gas uninterrupted from Shell to us, etc. So, all these things we’ve done and the whole idea is to ensure that the network is what it is supposed to be,” he added. The $500 million Geometric/Aba power plant has the capacity to produce and distribute about 141 megawatts (MW) of electricity in its first phase, with new distribution lines, four new sub-stations and three rehabilitated sub-stations. Each plant is to produce 47 MW of power, supported by a 60 MVA per transformer. The power plant is to be powered by gas and so the company has built a gas plant at Shell company flow station at Owaza in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State and laid a pipeline spanning 27 kilometres to the power plant at Osisioma. Prof Nnaji just like Soludo has been part of many South-East intellectual tink thank groups. With geometric winning in Aba and Soludo calling the shots in Anambra, I am highly optimistic. Our strength in the east is really manufacturing. Trade is just a stop-gap thing to compensate for our lack of infrastructure. Thank God for the tenacity of UmuIgbo. We shall get there. There are more registered pharmaceutical companies in Onitsha alone than in the most northern region. But most prefer to manufacture in India and China and Import because of lack of enabling environment suitable for production. Thereby exporting thousands of jobs outside the SouthEast. I said it a long time ago. Nigeria has a date with destiny come 2023. The Igbo masses had long checked out of this contraption many years ago. Nigeria's saving grace has been Igbo politicians and elites who still benefits one thing or the other from the union. But no matter their gluttony and materialistic worldview, denying them the Presidency come 2023 is a big insult and slap directly on their collective ego. Chukwuemeka Ezeife political movement formed the bedrock of NADECO during the fight for a return to democracy. Alex Ekwueme formed PDP as a political party to take power away from the military after Abulsalami has agreed to hand over. Yet 20 years after democracy, the Southeast is being told they can't eat from the soup they cooked. We the Igbo masses have reached the bus stop a long time ago waiting for them to open the bus so we could alight. It took Buhari's unabashed bigotry to knock some sense into them. 19 Likes 5 Shares |
