baski92: Twenty-five-year-old Monday Maule has been accused of raping one Mrs. Chinyere Samuel, his neighbour’s wife, who is eight months pregnant and has four children.
Maule was said to have committed the act on Monday, February 23, 2015.
It was gathered that Mr. Samuel, Chinyere’s husband, was not always at home due to the nature of his job. Samuel, a Ghanaian by nationality works with a Chinese construction company and hardly returns home to his family.
Our correspondent learnt that Maule allegedly committed the act by sneaking into the couple’s apartment during the early hours of the day (5am) at Friends Colony Agungi, Lekki, Lagos.
It was learnt that Chinyere and her children were fast asleep and Maule seized the opportunity to overpower her.
Chinyere was said to have woken up to find Maule on her. She quickly raised the alarm and attracted other neighbours. The incident was said to have caused her emotional and physical damage.
Maule was on Wednesday arraigned before Mrs. O. M. Sanyo of the Lagos Magistrates’ Court, Tinubu, Lagos Island on one count of rape. The charge read, “That you, Monday Maule, on February 23, 2015, at Friends Colony, Agungi, Lekki, Lagos did unlawfully and forcefully have carnal knowledge of one Chinyere Samuel without her consent and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 259 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.”
Maule pleaded not guilty and was admitted to bail in the sum of N250, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
The magistrate said the sureties must show evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State Government and one of the sureties must be a blood relation of the defendant.
The matter was adjourned till Monday March 23, 2015, pending legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.

Family › Re: Separation Is Imminent In My Marriage. by gymnasium(m): 7:35pm On Jan 04, 2015 |
Rep042: My marriage is just 1 year and few days old,but within the last 365 days,I have seen torment and hell on daily basis. We dated for 2 years before tying the knot, she's a nice person, but her mouth is destructive, she has this overbearing attitude, always trying to control me or dictate the pace, and can keep malice, anger and record of evil done to her for a long time. She's the type of person that talks very well,I mean convincely well, but unfortunately, she speaks more negative words. She can talk for hours non-stop,especially when provoked, saying all sorts of bad words.
She has threatened to kill me & send assassins after me on different occasions in the past, though I just ignored such threats.
My wife has been abusing me verbally and always say nasty things at every slightest provocation and at the same ready to engage me in fisticuffs.
She can really say unprintable words such as "it will not be well with you","as you go out, people will deal with you", "you will work like an elephant and eat like an ant", "this your certificate will never yield you any good thing", etc, name callings, abuses, curses etc.
Please Nairalanders, I will like to know if it is wrong or out of place for a working class married lady to assist her husband in paying some bills or buying some foodstuffs at home. Because, anytime she assists in doing anything, she will record it and consequently use that to abuse and insult me whenever we have misunderstanding and or exchange of words.
After our traditional marriage on December 2013,I had some financial challenges, and then my rent was due for renewable, she offered to assist,at first I was skeptical about it ,because I know her kind of person, knowing full well that she will use that to ridicule and abuse me in no distant time. But,then,I didn't have any alternative,so I allowed her pay d rent. Now,she's claiming ownership, saying ..."which house, the one that I have been paying the rent or another one"...
She has done a lot of character assassination & damages to my personality before some of her relatives & family members(Her father and two sisters),thus they all support her & no longer regard me as anybody.
Few months into our marriage, she started wearing butt pads, I told her to stop ,because I don't like the stuff, but she flared up and we had exchange of words. She told me that she has to look good to outsiders.
Throughout her pregnancy period, she wore the butt pads on daily basis even at home,I allowed her because of her condition, even though it looked disgusting on her. After she put to bed,and few days later, I told her to quit wearing that stuff, but she refused, then I seized it,she started ranting to the hearing of everyone at home & neighbors that I have taken her padded pants(aka butt pad) to native doctor. I just ignored her. Few days later, she bought another set.
On Xmas day(2014),she dressed up & wore the butt pads again,I told her to remove it ,but she refused, then i tried forcing her to do so,and that resulted to a serious fight. She tore my already ironed clothes to pieces(an expensive Indian attire I bought when I travelled to India),I tore hers too and forced the butt pads out from her body.
Hell was let loose that day, because she called her sisters, they came to my house and created a very nasty scene in my neighborhood, they insulted, ridiculed me and made a mockery of me,her elder sister who is a police officer threatened to deal with me,she was talking and hitting her hands on the ground saying that, they are going to teach me some bitter lessons in this town. I tried to respond but my Mum,who's on child's visit(Omugwo) asked me to hold my peace. It wasn't easy though, they also insulted her too.
Since that day till date,my wife doesn't talk to me. The only thing that connects us now is the new born baby.
Her words have actually killed me psychologically, emotionally etc, to the extent that sometimes, I loose consciousness of my surrounding while driving to and fro from work , I will be lost in thought, and on a particular occasion nearly rammed another moving vehicle,if not for the speed bumps on the road that awaken my consciousness.
Her words:"if you are still regarding me as your wife, then you wasting your time". Its obvious she wants a divorce because to her, she's still very young(28 years),and can easily move on. She doesn't give a damn.
She has also repeated that same threat of killing me,these days ,the number of calls entering her phone is amazing, most times, she goes far from the house to answer those calls.
Please, kindly advice me. Thank you. my dear its obvious that its over you made the wrong choice dont wait til ure killed fill for a divorce ah guess marital bliss aint determined by how long you dated |

john6006: The role of the social media in building relationships and businesses cannot be overemphasised. But the negative aspects seem to be growing with mixed reactions after the death of Cynthia Osokogu who was killed by friends she met on social media.
Since the case of Cynthia went viral, ladies who were before now ashamed to share their experiences in the hands of bad guys have started talking.
Below is the near-death experience a young lady had with a man who was her BBM friend:
I am a girl who has fears, beliefs, reservations and just your regular typical Nigerian girl. This past few weeks has been one hell of a game for me. I have really been unsettled and I thought I share this story with you.
When Cynthia (the lady killed in the hotel room in Festac, Lagos) surfaced on the internet and various news media, I was scared and it brought back a whole lot of memories to me and also served as and eye opener. Many people castigated and criticised Cynthia (may her gentle soul rest in peace), but my point is, it could have been anybody, anybody at all.
We have met people through various social media. Some have ended up well, some have not but with painful memories. To cut the long story short, let me kindly share with you my encounter with social media especially the very popular Blackberry Messenger (BBM).
I am a graduate and currently serving in Kaduna. I could have runced it, but I needed somewhere to clear my head and forget about my ugly encounter. Here is my story.
I happened to have a married man as a contact on my BBM. He had been asking me out for over six months and I refused to date him. As time went on, he invited me clubbing with him when his wife was outside the country, and I went with him all night. We spent most of the night at Swe bar, Lagos.
I also met his clique of friends, married as well with their various mistresses. We had ‘mad’ fun. After all the clubbing and drinking, he lodged me in a hotel somewhere in Obalende. I felt sort of safe with him. We did not have s e’x, but he made sweet love to me and touched me in places I had never ever imagined.
He kissed me passionately but guess what? He did not have s e’x with me. We did all sorts but there was no penetration. So, to an extent, I trusted he was a good person to be around with. I did not know that it was all part of the plan.
He gave me N10,000 and put me in a cab to go home the next morning. We kept talking and chatting and sending na k’ed pictures to each other and he told me naughty things of how he wanted to whisper things in my ear, I blushed. We didn’t see for two weeks and that was because his wife just came back from Turkey.
One faithful evening, he pinged me that he was organising a beach party/boat cruise and that he would love for me to be his date and that he wanted to open a BBM chat, as a medium for his friends and my friends to interact. I was excited about it, I just wanted to have fun. I was able to get five of my very hot friends.
The BBM group opened and we got chatting. I also realise that majority of them were married and working in reputable firms. It was fun and we didn’t mind if they were married, we just wanted to have fun, as well as some other girls apart from my friends in the group.
We chatted exclusively, sent pictures to the BBM group to introduce ourselves, and we had opened group conversations pending the beach party. And as excited as we were, we went shopping for nice s e’xy beach wears.
The D-day finally came, we all assembled at the Lagos Island Boat Club. I was wowed because it was a high class party. We were cruising in a boat loaded with goodies drinks and hot babes, and as well ‘MARRIED MEN’. I did not care, I just said in my mind that I would not roll with married men anymore after this, that for now, all I wanted to do was to catch some fun. After all, I wasn’t paying bills.
We got there, it was a private beach resort. Most of the beach facilities I got to see there were owned by multinational companies. We got out of the boat, and went to where we were partying. It was a duplex made with wood. It was a very nice setting.
I felt comfortable because it even had a fence around it separating it from other beach houses around. So, there was privacy and of course bouncers (heavy looking guys) guarding the place. I said to myself, this must be heaven, I must be dreaming.
Anyways, we felt free with each other because we had been chatting. It was 5:30pm and the party just started. We had drinks flowing from the private bar tender which happens to be owned by one of the men in the group. Reality struck when I realised that I was feeling dizzy and feeling really funny and light headed. Not only me, but other girls around me too noticed there was something strange about it.
I was also feeling Hot as hell! I had been drugged. They monitored us and when they knew the drug had really gone deep into our system, they moved us up into the main beach house. I could still see faces, but was too weak and Hot to react.
Mr B, the man who took me clubbing, carried me in his hands like a sacrifice and put me down on the floor just as other men also did with their girls. We were eight in numbers; 8 girls, 8 guys, and they all stri*ped us down and had s e’x with us.
I enjoyed it a bit because I was Hot. It was a mixed feeling because I cried, I moaned, but I did not know how many times he came into me. He pounded me hard. I was dizzy, but he grabbed me with force. All I could notice was the wedding ring on his finger. I thought of how wicked and miserable some married can be. How inhuman and heartless they could be.
All of them took turns in switching partners and slept with all of us. I passed out. That was the last thing I could remember. I felt water poured on me. I noticed all the other girls around me too were half na k’ed and some stark na k’ed.
We spent the night at the beach, but the men were no where to be found. I looked round me and all I could see was packs of used condoms. I ran to pick my cloths and possibly raise an alarm. I got dressed, found my phone with an envelope. It contained N16,000 and a note asking us to take N2000 each for transport. Tears of anger and rage filled my eyes and the girls around me as well.
“We were drugged and used like tissue paper. I grabbed my phone and noticed a ping came in. I checked my phone and I noticed the BBM group had been deleted, and a message via BBM from MR B came in. He threatened me that if I say a word to anyone, I would regret it.
I told him he was a bastard, and he said try it. A picture came in, several pictures. In fact, they were pictures of us being na k’ed on the floor. Pictures of the humiliating us but they blurred the faces of the men. In total, I got 20 pictures. I was not myself for a month. I went back to school, I had no one to talk to. The rest of the semester was hell for me. My CGPA dropped drastically. It was the worst out of the worst result I ever had.
Till today, my friends and I have not discussed this with anyone, but all I could do when I heard of Cynthia’s story was to narrate my own ordeal anonymously and spread the news, the word, and pray they (ladies who do runs) see it and changed their ways.
I am now born again. I have given my life to Christ. I fear men so much that I cannot even move close to them. I still have nightmares, but with time, God will strengthen me and I will move on. My advice to single ladies out there is, do not be desperate for fun. Pray to God to open your eyes of understanding, and pray hard. He who kneels before God will stand before kings and queens.
To all married women, pray hard to God to intervene in your marriages and turn your husbands from bad habits and bad friends. As for me, I do not think I ever want to get married or date a man again. That chapter has been closed for good in my life.
Please, do not ignore my mail. Please post it. There are a lot of things we ladies need to learn. Please post it on your blog and save a soul. It could be your friend, sister, cousin, neighbour.
God bless you as you pass it on. To all readers, I do not care if you insult me or rain abuses at me. My job is to share this encounter with you and save you from any mishap. God bless you all......

Christianity Etc › Re: The Sin Of self-service And Its Consequencies In The Life Of God's People by gymnasium(m): 4:50pm On Dec 28, 2014 |
VivaLaFrans: I'd start with my story.
In 2004, (13 yrs old) I had a dream, I saw two paths and heard a voice saying to me, ''Follow the one on the right'', I woke up. The next night, I dreamt again and saw myself urinating pure blood. In those years I used to hear the voice of the Lord in my dreams. I was filled with the holy spirit and full of life and unending joy. I used to be very bright in school and lovable, with favour from everywhere. I always came up with a first position in class. After the second dream, I told my mum and she said I should pray. I never understood the meaning of those dreams, neither did she.
The following week, on that fateful day when I was taking my bath, I was washing my genital with my soft sponge when I experience the first orgasm of my life. There was an expulsion of semen and I enjoyed the feeling. From that day until earlier this year, I wasted my life.
I masturbated on daily basis. I started isolating myself from people and began to keep my secrets to myself. I wasn't getting close to my mom like I used to do. I began to have disturbing dreams like being chased by a cattle herd, being chased and caught by a dog, being mutilated with a sword, finding my self in a toilet doing nothing or in a pit struggling to come out, I experienced Murauding spirit, being pressed and disturbed in my sleep. Sometimes I would hear footsteps and sudden shouts of people running past our premises when Iam asleep, and lots more that I cant mention cuz of time and space.
During this period, I was still hearing the voice of the Lord in dreams telling me to rise up now and pray for mercy. One day, at about 12:30 am, I dreamt and saw myself in a white garment stained with black gutter water and stinking, and I was standing near a toilet and weeping for help. Suddenly I saw three people in pure white garments, came with a basin of water. Two started washing me while one stood and watched. On the process, the water got stained by the black colored gutter on my garment, the people pursed and the water became pure again, then they resumed. After this dream, I knew I was restored, but I failed to pray for the spirit of Holiness to posses me, and I went back to masturbation again. My spirit gradually accepted it over the years and couldn't fight against it anymore.
In 2006, my those dreams became to manifest. I dreamt that my garment was stollen by someone, and physically I lost my joy in the presence of God. I dreamt that I and my classmates were climbing a hill and I was slipping down while they were near to the top of the hill. This happened when I started gaining 6th, 7th position in class. I began to loose friends and started hating everyone. I found it difficult to smile ands this caused wrinkles on my forehead. I began to loose divine favour and wasn't lovable anymore. I can't narrate everything here cuz my story is too long.
In conclusion, most of my mates are in the Universities or graduates, but I thank God for my present academic qualification and the Pastor He had used to restore me back into life. I am happy with my life now and would never go back to iniquity anymore, in Jesus' name, Amen.
Please if you are a parent reading this, alsways get closer to your children to know what they are going through especially during puberty. Ask them questions and educate them about the destruction caused by premarital sex and masturbation. They are innocent children. Do not allow your little cute baby to loose his life because you are too busy to teach them the bible and educate them about misfortunes caused by premarital sex. When I say life, i dont mean their breath, I mean their ability and youthful integrity to do exploits in their youthful age. Do not joke with the spiritual life of your children especially at puberty, please. Iniquity can make someone to go extra miles he is not supposed to go before fulfilling destiny. The girl or boy you are having sex with might have contacted millions of negative spirits from others and transfer it to you via premarital sex. Sex is a bond. Masturbation is a token to program your future negatively, but there is nothing impossible for God to do.
If you are like me, then remember that God is the creator of everything. He can make you as pure as an Infant again if only you will accept Jesus into your life. Confess your sins and ask the holyspirit to come back to you again. Find a true church and get baptized, study your bible, and you will fulfill your God-given destiny. Do not be discouraged. There is still time. Always pray for God's favor to follw you wherever you go. God bless you. self servicing is my greatest problem nw |
Politics › Re: Sahara Reporters Work For Terrorists – Nigeria Army by gymnasium(m): 6:56am On Dec 27, 2014 |
Monimatic: The Army authorities yesterday accused an online media, Sahara Reporters, of working for the Boko Haram terror group.
In a statement issued by its director of public relations, Brigadier Olaleye Lajide, the Army dismissed a story published on the website of the medium where it alleged that a serving officer, Lt Col Wende, petitioned the Army hierarchy.
“It is noteworthy but unfortunate that Sahara Reporters has committed itself to support terrorism and fight Nigeria, its people, its military and particularly the Nigerian Army.
“Before Sahara Reporters published their purported document described as petition from Lt Col Wende, a serving commanding officer, the Nigerian Army conducted a thorough investigation on the document involving other security and intelligence gathering agencies. The process confirmed that the serving officer was not the author of the petition,” the Army stated.
The statement further disclosed that at a press conference in Maiduguri, the officer involved, Wende, disassociated himself from the petition and Sahara Reporters which published the story was not only absent but went to discredit the officer, describing him as “unverified”.
