Nontheless, we know from sirah that prophet sulayman(as) is blessed with an extraordinary power of perception and intelligence n as a king of a vast kingdom Allah (SWT) gave him powers of being able to talk to animals and control the wind. Allah made it in such a way that man n jinn obeys him amonge so many other things .. I actually got the story here https://sites.google.com/site/islamicdawaonline/purnishment-of-hellfire |

Islam for Muslims / Re: If You Are A Muslim, There Is a Possibility You will Be Buried Alive. by hadbak: 1:43am On Feb 12, 2013 |
@ OP..the laws of burial acording to d islamic doctrine has been ordained by God n not man, therfore d idea of mistake or buring someone alive has not arise except what God has ordained. During the period of burial arangments he deceased weda brain dead or in coma can be detected if they still have life in them. When smone dies their looks changes n canot b compared with d looks of d peson who is brain dead..Nontheless, irrespective of d circumstances surrounding anyone's dead/destiny its wht has been ordained by God n cannot be changed. We as muslims believe that whoever dies, killed or BY ANY OTHER MEANS, it is in term of appointed DESTINY n nothing is reduced from it. In islam ther is noting like an UNTIMLY death, each pesin running its course for a term appointed so d ideal of dying bfoe ur time is ridiculus..whatever has been written for someone must surely come to pass weda buring alife/buring dead.. |
Islam for Muslims / Areality You Cant Escape! by hadbak: 8:07pm On Feb 11, 2013 |
It is narrated that one day, a man entered the court of Prophet Sulaiman (عليه السلام ), looked around at all the people and went out again. When the court adjourned, one of the people present approached Prophet Sulaiman (عليه السلام ) and asked him whether he knew this strange man. "The person you saw was the angel of death (Izrael)" replied Prophet Sulaiman (عليه السلام ). The man was taken aback and looked worried. "Why was he staring at me as though he wanted to take my soul?" he asked. "What do you want me to do?" enquired Prophet Sulaiman (عليه السلام ). "O Sulaiman!" exclaimed the man."You have power over the wind. Command it to transport me to the land of Hind (India)." As the man was a believer, Prophet Sulaiman (عليه السلام ) agreed and granted his wish. A few days later, Prophet Sulaiman (عليه السلام ) saw the angel of death again. He asked him why he had been staring at the man so intently on that particular day. "O Sulaiman!" replied the angel of death. "Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتعال ) commanded me to take the soul of that man on the soil of Hind. When I saw him sitting in your court, I could not understand how I could carry out Allah's order. Nevertheless, as it was a divine command, I left for Hind and fortunately found the man there. I took his soul as Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتعال ) had commanded." Allahu Akbar! |

A man went to a barber shop to have his hair cut. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: “ I don’t believe that God exists. ” “ Why do you say that ?” asked the customer. “ Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn’t exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can’t imagine a loving a God who would allow all of these things. ” The customer thought for a moment, but didn’t respond because he didn’t want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barber shop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: “ You know what ? Barbers do not exist. ” “ How can you say that ? ” asked the surprised barber. “I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!” “ No! ” the customer exclaimed. “Barbers don’t exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside.” “Ah, but barbers DO exist! What happens is, people do not come to me.” “Exactly!” affirmed the customer. “That’s the point ! God, too, DOES exist ! What happens, is, people don’t go to Him and do not look for him." |

^^ Hauwa is Hauwa. Plus u should understand that ha creation differs with ours n canot be compared. Besides there r no verses frm d scriptures that says she was called Hauwa Adamu/somtin. No doubt ha origin is from Adam bt that doesn't means he fathered ha, she was only a part of him from creatn. If there was a need for ha to hav a surname God cud hav made a provisn for it.. |
Islam for Muslims / Re: Can Muslims Celebrate Valentine? by hadbak: 1:02am On Feb 11, 2013 |
@ OP...valentine has nothing to do with Al-Islam, therfore it should have nothing to do with muslims..its an Eid celebrated by non-muslim that promote infatuations which calls for the heart to be pre-ocupy with haram matters dat leads to immorality(haram relationship) |

Islam for Muslims / A Beautiful Reminder.. by hadbak: 12:09am On Feb 10, 2013 |
Tonight there was a girl who walked into the Masjid holding tightly to the scarf that kept falling from head. I had just finished praying ‘Asr when she walked up to me and said, ‘I’m so sorry. I know you just finished praying. I want to pray too but I don’t really know how. Could you pray with me and recite out loud so I can learn?’ I didn’t hesitate for a moment. I lead her in prayer just the way she asked me to. She seemed so sincere. After we prayed, I was going to the YM event and I invited her to join me. She told me that her mother was Christian and her father was Muslim. He brought her to the Masjid when she was younger, but as she had grown up, he stopped. Now she was here, almost fifteen years later, because she wanted to learn more about Islam for herself. That night, she participated in our halaqa, which, coincidentally, was about the importance of remembering Allah and surrounding yourself with those who remember Allah in order to find internal comfort and peace. SubhanAllah. Things that were basic knowledge to me, like knowing what the word dua’ meant, were not known to her at all. I admired her that night. It was humbling. As person born into Islam, I had never in my life thought that it would be possible for me or anyone to turn away from it. And if I did lose the way, I really don’t know if I would have ever thought to come back. Allah truly is Al Hadi – the only one who guides souls upon the straight path. The last words she said to us before giving salaam were ‘You girls are here every weekend right?’ SubhanAllah. I’m looking forward to her joining us next weekend InshaAllah. She was one of the most beautiful reminders Allah has ever given me. - YM member from New York |
Islam for Muslims / A Personal Journey.. by hadbak: 11:50pm On Feb 09, 2013 |
I was far from Islam I remember, as a child, a teacher at Sunday school gave me a dirty look for leaving my hair uncovered. It made me never want to go back. I stayed as far away from the Masjid as possible. As I entered my teenage years, depression crushed me. I had little self expectations. I felt that everyone hated me at times. I felt that no one knew my problems. And worse, that no one cared. It would be impossible to count the number of times I cried because of how messed up I felt about my life Guilt for not practicing Islam gnawed me from inside, but, for a few years, I continued to push it aside. But there was only so much I could bear. I was overwhelmed by how I felt. In desperation I turned to Allah and begged him to guide me and help me practice Islam. Soon after that, I decided to tag along with someone as they went to an Islamic class. In that class I experienced Islam like I had never known. I saw sisterhood. I saw happiness. That was the moment that I felt my life begin to change. I could not believe that I had been ignorant about this beautiful, indescribable sisterhood that Islam was giving me. That year, I began the slow process of becoming a stronger Muslimah. I started shedding bad habits. I would focus on my prayer. I even worked up the nerve to wear the Hijab. (No credit to the Sunday School teacher). After I made the decision, my friends at school started distancing themselves from me. People would talk behind my back. It was hard. I had nowhere to turn except Allah. I asked Him to grant me good, genuine friends. He blessed me with the best. He led me to Young Muslims. I met people who positively influenced my life in ways that I can’t begin to describe. I started looking forward to Fridays every week because I wanted to be with these sisters. They broke the stereotypes I had about practicing Muslimahs. They were fun. They joked around. I could talk to them with ease. They were human! I learned from them. I looked up to them. I am grateful to them. They probably don’t realize how much they’ve influenced my life. In the past few years, I have became more confident and gained self-esteem and respect for myself. I could never have imagined that my life would change so much. Please please please, if you’ve had bad experiences like I did – where people made you feel like dirt – don’t take that for Islam. Islam is meant to uplift not to degrade. Enroll in an Islamic class, join a youth group, learn more about your religion. There will always be people who discourage you, judge you, look down on you, and make you feel like you could never surmount to anything. But ignore them. You might even feel like I did, “I’m a terrible Muslim, how could I of all people change?” Never be hopeless of Allah’s limitless Mercy. Take the first step. Allah knows your potential. Just keep asking from Him. Raise your hands to Him. Make dua to Him. You’ll be surprised. |

THEPOLY11: Arabic is a language and Islamic is a religion they are both different but always go together , the reason why you study Quran in arabic is to proctect it's value, but the mistake with all black people today is that we buy all these religions and everything that comes with it , and we have no value for anything that is ours, we need to protect our culture as well .pointless! look, u can go n bear ur Akintola/lagbaja for all I care, so long as its not me dats bearing d name..how does it fuel my car? |

donwilz: I am no muslim, but what you are saying in essence is the allah will not understand you when you speak in other languages, apart from arabic?. This is the height of ignorance and complex issues. The Op is spot on IMHO. This also applies to Christians! I don't get the logic in bearing alien names. I was laughed at in my high school days because i have no English name.. What happened to our pride ? God created all mankind equally. That is the beauty of diversity. Don't you ask yourselves , why God/Allah didn't make us all a single race? This is the beauty of his creation.. DIVERSITY.. Never forget your roots!I understand ur pains, no one says u shld bear an alien name/forget ur root, never. U r n wil alway be an igbo, yor or hausa whether u speak it or not. Wht am saying is, the lang of d sciptures is important as ours too is important. its God that created all d langes yet he choose a language for His scripture. He does things acording to His wishes. The language of d quran is Arabic n I love Arabic with all my heart..when I die n resurect, I want to speak arabic, y'all heard! |
