That is good, honestly I don't know why Lagos people give so much respect to soldiers can you imagine they will enter bus and not pay their fares claim "staff"

I remember back in obasanjo days one soldier newly postes to Abuja tried not to pay his fare men he was almost striped naked uintil another soldier came to his rescue and pay the fare.

I also remember during Elrufai time how soldiers that flaunt the law banning okada were dealt with, VIO seized a lot of their bikes.

People need to know that when you are right no one can trample upon you .

As Fela said " Uniform na clothe na tailor dey sowam"
Politics › Re: Boko Haram's Latest Propaganda War: Hoisting Of Flags. by HAH:
There is thin line between propaganda and lie. But leaving in denial cannot solve this Boko Haram problem.

Gwoza,Buniyadi and Damboa are all old local government as far back as 1976, to me saying the capture of their town. Is a propaganda is a disrespect to the victims.

Am from that part of Nigeria and I know not up to 50% of the atrocities of BH is reported, furthermore capturing a territory is the new trend of the terrorist like in mali and ISIS in iraq.

However we will be happy if all this hoisting of flag and take over are lies, but the question is did BH hoist their flag in any town or area it has not captured ?

To me the earlier Nigerians know we are in a full blown war the better.

More geese to Nigerian Army elbows rto defeat the enemies of the people.

I guess you are enjoying all the "likes" you are getting.

Typical Nigerian, faced with challenges...call on someone else to do the dirty job while your lazy @sses drink pepper soup and jolly. How did Chadian army get so strong? Practice they say makes perfect. But in your mind, you make a lot of sense to hand over the security of your country to a neighbouring country. And when the Chadians, having known the weakness of your military decide to run over Nigeria, who are you going to run to?

Think about your suggestions well. It is very easy for France to contract Malians because France is too far away to bear the brunt of any repercussions of such engagement by proxy
What did Nigeria go to do in Mali ? Is it not to fight islamic insurgents and was it not the comity of nations including Nigeria that saved them, what is wrong if a war is getting out of hand and we seek external help, Nigerian army problem is not weapons ir money but low morale and the fact that no one want to die for the nation, one the other hand the terrorist are ready to die for their belief, do you know that all the tanks BH use are Nigerian army's, do you know that 90% of guns and RPG that BH uses are Nigerian army's.

EMMAACHILE: approximate prices, could be more
1.8m dish=8,000 eurostar or 10,000 strong or 2.4m fiber or Metal dish=24,000 or larger size
stargold fuji ku lnb=4,000
Cband strong lnb=1,000
Jack/Positioner (HH motor)=N5,000
Cable=1,000
Pole=?

If you have more than a 3m dish, Mini x4 decoder is a must to enjoy it
Emma, pls I want to motorise my 2.4M dish so that I can watch all the channels on all satellites pls how much is it going to cost motorise it ?

Since you are in lokoja can you come to Abj to help or can you recommend someone to me.
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Q-SAT: QUEEN OF SATELLITES? by HAH: 10:08pm On Aug 19, 2014
davodyguy: motorise the dish and you're good. With ur HH motor, you can tune/ turn your dish. Better still, just talk to Emma to get you a certain decoder that will suit you. But if you don't want to spend on minix4, come back to Arabsat 5c at the east. You will reposition your dish from west to east. Its Arabic but all the leagues would be shown live and direct without dongles on the two irib channels FTA and biss keyed
Please how do I get Sky digital UK and how many channels are on it ?

atlwireles: Sorry, if I may ask how old are you? Seek out a Liberian and ask them, if Nigerian army came there as peace keepers. They fought for the peace and kept it. The problem with boko haram is sabotage and not morale, look at Cameroon and chad, why are they containing boko haram? How many wars has Cameroon fought? Are they better equipped than us? Are they better paid than us?

You guys need to stop the propaganda its only demoralizing the troops. A very effective tool by boko haram. You don't have to be in Sambisa to propagate their agenda.
I know most people on nairaland are young people but in all modesty am not a youth again, I don't know you but I don't want to open my cover to you,

And I can tell you in all confidence that the problem with the Nigerian military in its war against Boko Haram is morale, No one want to die for Nigeria
Politics › Re: Boko Haram: Soldiers Mutiny, Demand Better Equipment by HAH: 6:53pm On Aug 19, 2014
Ecobidi: I strongly believe that if our soldier are well equiped they will defeat this untrained nuisance called bokoharm
The problem is not equipment but morale, the BH are having more morale to fight than the army because of there beliefs, if not the BH guys most don't even have helmet they use turban.

Simply no soldier want to die because of Nigeria while the BH can die because of their brain washing.
Politics › Re: Boko Haram: Soldiers Mutiny, Demand Better Equipment by HAH: 6:44pm On Aug 19, 2014
atlwireles: So what did our army do in Liberia and Sierra lone? Were they carrying out check points duties too?
Yes there work was jus check points and basically as it name says peace keeping, infact most soldiers that go to liberia and sierra leaon lobby to be included because of the UN allowance, and when they come back they buy cars and looking fresh with toned skin.

So my bother peace keeping is totally different from war, peace keeping is like separating two people fighting and is never offensive.

Our major problem in the war against BH is morale not weapons or allowances just morale.
Politics › Re: Boko Haram: Soldiers Mutiny, Demand Better Equipment by HAH: 6:18pm On Aug 19, 2014
Nyikoro: with that being said, those soldier complaining of not being properly equipped are just giving a flimsy excuses. Remember those BH guy do not wear helmet, no body armor, not combat boot yet they are able to traumph. A lazy man will always quarrel with his working tools.
What did Biafra soldier had when they were fighting Nigerian army??.
Nigerian army are afraid of death but BH are not. So all boils down to determination, interest, love for ur nation and sacrifice.
Of course that's what military is all about SACRIFICE!!! What were you thinking when you were signing that paper?
Another thing is ideas. Come up with a good tactics to thwart these guys plans. Plan ahead of them. Come on man!! You guys even have air support and BH DO NOT!
Very correct, no morale at all, most of them joined the army due to unemployment and also for showmanship to the so called bloody civilians now that jungle don dey mature they are chickening out.
Politics › Re: Boko Haram: Soldiers Mutiny, Demand Better Equipment by HAH: 6:16pm On Aug 19, 2014
sarutobie: The nigerian army has more military hardware than chad get that into your head.
It is not hardware that fights my brither it is the Morale of the soldiers. There is high morake among chadian army that was why when ansaruddin took over northern mali it was only the chadian and french army that confronted and defeated them, the Nigerian army were left doing check point at the outskirt of Bamako along the way to the timbuktou.

The last time Nigerian army were involved in an offensive war was biafra and no serving personel that went to biafra is in service now, all they were doing was peace keeping which is totally different from war.
Politics › Re: Boko Haram: Soldiers Mutiny, Demand Better Equipment by HAH: 6:03pm On Aug 19, 2014
sarutobie: And the "something" according to you is to contract chadian army? My God! You are a coward! Your likes will sell this country given a day at the helm of power
Mr patriotic Nigerian can you tell me what Nigeria went to do in Sierra Leaon,Liberia , Dafur and Mali.

May be until this war reaches you compound you will know that we are in a real soup, the earlier we swallow our pride and invite those that can handle this the better .
Politics › Re: Boko Haram: Soldiers Mutiny, Demand Better Equipment by HAH: 5:30pm On Aug 19, 2014
teekay12: Its not always that straightforward. The issue is, in the long term, we will lose something important. Primarily, the fear factor our troops command.
If we don't do something quickly it will be too late, the next thing you will here now is that they have captured Borno state remember this BH are doing the same thing with ISIS who have now captured 1\3 of iraq, moreover we are moving toward election most of the soldier will be withdrawn fir election duty. Before you know it they will capture the entire NE. So honestly let us swallow our pride and invite other nations that can help us. Expecially nation that don't have colonial tendencies
Politics › Re: Boko Haram: Soldiers Mutiny, Demand Better Equipment by HAH: 5:13pm On Aug 19, 2014
teekay12: Never hire mercenaries to fight your own battle, lest you become indebted to them, and put yourself in a position of weakness. What is the motivation for the Chadian troops to fight BH? We are just inviting another invasion if we follow your advice. Boko Haram, our mess, and we should clean it up.
It will be like what troops went to do in Mali, which Nigeria also went, why won't us be helped in our time of need.
Politics › Re: Boko Haram: Soldiers Mutiny, Demand Better Equipment by HAH:
Honestly the government are not helping this men that volunteered themselves to fight for the nation.

My nephew came from Borno last three weeks, he said of the 14 passengers in the bus 12 are soldiers disguised as civilians deserting the army, some said they rather go and do okada in onitsha than be used as sacrificial lamb in Borno, one said his mother told him to leave and come back home, generally moral is low for the army in Borno for the soldiers

I have met an army officer that told me the major problem in this boko haram war is Moral is low among the soldiers, he said there is a soldeir killed in this BH crisis that his family were told to leave the barracks after some month with nothing , he also said there is. A wife of a young soldier that was killed in this Boko haram war and now the wife survives by following other men around the barracks, now do you think any soldier will sacrifice himself when he knows what will possibly happen to his family after his death..

Sadly this Boko Haram crisis has open the inefficiencies of the Nigerian army, the last time Nigeria was involved in an offensive war was in Biafra, that is why they are helpless, all the generals in Nigeria have never been to war, mind you peace keeping is never offensive.

My honest solution to this crisis is for the government to swallow it pride and contract the war on BH to the chadian army the way the french did in Mali, chad has the most rugged army in the region owing to the long civil war they had before stability came under idris deby. Boko Haram for the first time encroached on chadian soil last week I guess you all heard what happened to them, they were all captured and the entire 85 people they kidnapped in doron-baga were rescued, they BH know that the chadian army are ruthless hence they hardly encroach on them .

Most people that say Nigerian army are good don't really know them, the military in nigeria is one of the most corrupt institution, most of the officer if not all got to NDA through man know man, some are governors, ministers and perm sect children, is it this Ajebutters that you want them to go and fight war for you, most of soldiers joined because they want to brutalize civilians and be local champion, they never thought that a serious war like this will crop up, remember 99% of BH are bloody civilian that turn militant with little or no training, I wonder if this army can handle a full blwn civil war in Nigeria.

Before now the army use to tell us that BH are hiding among civilian that is why they are hard to be caught , now that BH have moved to the Bush is another story.

This government should do something.

Politics › Re: Chadian Troops Rescue 85 Nigerian Hostages From Boko Haram by HAH: 12:01pm On Aug 17, 2014
For those who don't let me tell you the chadian army is one of the best army in africa they are rugged and better motivated. That was why they were the ones that led the war against the rebels in Mali alongside france and the succeeded in quashing the insurgency, while the entire Nigerian troops sent were left outside Bamako guarding the bridge, according to the french ther Nigerian only know how to stay at check point and that all, warfare is not their mastery.

If you are following the Boko Haram war this is the first time they encroached on Chadian soil and look at how they were dealt with.

Nigeria should just swallow it pride and contract the war against Boko Haram to chad and they will be history in 6 months
Health › Nano Silver Unfit To Treat Ebola-minister by HAH(op): 4:33am On Aug 17, 2014
Nano silver, the trial drug imported into the country on Thursday has been declared unfit and will not be administered to Ebola patients, Minister of health says.

Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu said the experimental drug did not meet required standards, according to reports from TheCable.

Speaking during a press conference at the Federal Nuero Psychiatric hospital at Yaba, Lagos on Saturday, the minister said other trial drugs were undergoing evaluation, and they could be used should they be found suitable eventually.

“You will recall that last Thursday, I announced that we were ready to deploy an experimental drug, Nano Silver, if it was cleared by the national health research committee,” he said. “

Although, the drug had since last Thursday been made available to the emergency operation in Lagos, it had not been administered to any patient, because we were awaiting clearance from the national health research ethics committee.

“I regret to inform you that the drug did not meet the requirements of the national health research ethic code. Accordingly, approval for its use was withheld.

“I wish to inform you that other candidate drugs are currently being evaluated by the Treatment Research Group for EVD. As soon as any of the experimental drug is cleared and made available, we shall include it in the treatment regimen subject to the informed consent of the patient.”
