the cracks only appear where there are pillars on the wall. the rest of the wall and the main building has no cracks so I chiselled and nailed wire mesh to the crack, then plastered but it still appeared.

It’s a structural failure.
You can drop a picture let’s examine. Or get a qualified structural engineer to examine it for you.

A four-flat and duplex is a double storey with TWO floors.

But in Nigeria, four-flat or duplex is a storey building.

So if one says in Nigeria, I want to build a storey building of four flats, that's an UPSTAIRS with two floors.

2 Storey = British, 3 Floors (Ground, 1st & 2nd)

The only difference is Britain calls it ground floor while Americans call it first floor.

A storey building is not always a bungalow. It depends on whether you are describing based on UK or American standard.

A bungalow is a one storey building because it consists of only one storey (floor to roof)

A duplex is a 2 storey building and one suspended floor (dpc to first floor then first to roof) that’s why it’s a two storey building

British or American naming.

British named their ground floor as ground floor whilst the Americans call it first floor. This doesn’t really have anything to do with storey.

I went for a loan today in my bank(gtbank) and i was told i have been blacklisted for a Quick Credit loan and the reason was simply given as NPower. Yeah i was a beneficiary but not anymore for over a year. The reason might b they r profiling us for a wt cbn but even at that, blacklisting is extremely wrong. We all have lives outside npower especially now that it appears not have impact anymore. Some of us run little business that requires loan n this blacklisting is killing it.
CBN needs to look into this.

tell your engineer to design a masonry structure for you. i presume you mean a 2 storey building cause a one storey is a bungalow
