Thank you ladymarshall for your analysis. I appreciate it. I have just been wondering what alternatives I have.

Thank you very much.

ladymarshall:
There are two issues. First, NOC 0621 is managerial but your JD is not. Second, one of the major requirements of the NOC is either you are employed by wholesale/retail establishments or you own and operate your store. You fall in neither groups, except you claim that your home doubles a retail store but how do you defend that for a retail/wholesale business? Would you claim customers come to your house to buy the items arranged in a part of your house?. It's up to you

I would have recommended 6222 since you buy and resell but it is NOC C and ineligible for EE.

At the NOC gurus please help me o.

hamddy:
@Topsmamen, munoftwins2017, @ladymarshall etc.

I do not have a supermarket or shop, I buy on demand only, though I keep excess of some bulk items at home for resale at the next request which is usually the following month.

My JD are,

Sourcing for corporate companies to do business with
Receive their requests for quote, source for best prices,
Do a quote for the requested items
Receive a Purchase Order via email.
Buy the goods and deliver all within agreed time frame
As registered vendors we also do 3rd party payments on their behalf to companies not on their database.
Prepare invoices for submission.
Filing
Tax remittance (VAT only).

These are the major things I do. Its a one man soldier company with adhoc staffs when necessary.

I thought of CORPORATE SALES MANAGER NOC 0601 but reading though. it looks technical that's why I opted for NOC 0621, but I do not have a shop/store.

Please help me.

Thank you.

Do you have a store where you sell to retailers like a supermarket or is it solely direct supply to companies? I also used 0621 because I own a supermarket and am going the self employed route.

2. NOC 0621 seems close. There's also NOC 6421 (an ineligible NOC with skill type C) which might fit. I suggest you post your duties here for review.

Good evening all,

Well done to all the gurus. My special thanks to mamajojo and amaya for directing me to the self employed PPR celebrants. Njbr.... And great lady 234 has contacted me and they have both offered their advice and support as I begin.

Please I still need some clarifications
Firstly, my hubby has OND, HND, ICAN and MBA please which of all these certificates should he do ECA on that will still fetch us the highest point.

Secondly, to the NOC gurus in the house. I need help on this. I want to go the self employed route and I am confused on which NOC to use.

My business supplies consumables, toiletries and stationeries to companies, we generally buy things that their staff consume or use for their day to day activities at work. I chose NOC 0621 but will appreciate if you can help take a second look at my NOC choice.

Thank you for your time.

Sterling bank I paid for WES at N60,500 yesterday

Which bank has the cheapest cad/naira rate for online fees payment. I hear gtbank should be avoided cos their rates are quite steep even on abokifx. I’m considering zenith or first bank.

Kindly advise

Thank you for your response. I have a number of these documents as proofs. But can you please share with me a link that I can read from if you have at hand. Will appreciate this.

Thank you

amaya21:
Several business owners have already gotten PPR. Check njbybrthnly and a lady who was a self employed baker. Check the PPR stories in Part 8 and Part 7. You can find them on page 1.

However, things will work better for you if your business is structured: registered with CAC, client letters, proof of payment by clients, taxes paid, payments through corporate accounts etc. You don't have to have all these things but the more that you have, the better for you.

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by hamddy: 6:55pm On Jul 29, 2019
Thank you mamajojo. But honestly I'm hearing this for the first time that I can apply as a business owner. Kindly enlighten me the more.

Gurus in the house kindly help shook mouth o.

Thanks

MamaJoJo:

Of course you can apply as self employed as long as you have a registered company, Tax clearance certificate and you just need letters from clients to prove your work.

Good evening gurus in the house, please I need help.

I'm an ex operation staff in a bank and I currently do business. I obviously can't claim an NOC for my business even though I work with corporate companies. Please what alternative NOC can I claim with my work experience. I did different functions in operations from tellering to FT and Epayments.

Secondly, apart from the transcripts sent to WES directly from my school do I need to upload copies of my certificates when creating a profile with WES.

I'll be grateful if my seniors in the house can help. I really need a guide.

Thank you all.

@ Hamddy...I think hotstepper means its not true....

My opinion, its always been a subject of discussion in the US and Canada to stop the outright citizenship at birth thingy but no strong directions have ever been made. If they want to end it, I don't think it will happen instantly. I believe there will be strong deliberations at the senate/house of parliament before they take a decision...

This thread is getting too cold o, people please lets share our experiences.....

I was at the verge of making payment today for my US birthing when i received a mail from VFS that my Canadian application is ready...i quickly ran to lekki to pick up, and glory to God i was given the visa. I had given up already cos I applied late and they held my application for 2months....so its change of plans for me cos Canada is my first choice

So now, im super-excited and super-confused cos i dont even know where to start.....@hotstepper, the specialist, anyone in the house...please i need your help o....from what I've read so far i'm open to doing Toronto or Oshawa. The only problem is that I plan to travel by this month end and I will be 36weeks. No accomodation plans, nothing....

Anyone that can help with any info, kindly reachout.....thanks so much

hello the specialist, justwise, hotstepper, the other gurus and canada residents

I recently heard an info from a Canadian gynae but he said that he would also ask and get back to me. He said that he heard from some of his colleagues that canada is trying to stop citizenship by birth.

Can you please help check the authencity of this information.

Also i am already 7 weeks pregnant. Which option is better to apply through, online or Paper route. i was denied a study permit in November but right now i am hoping to apply for visit visa as a family.

Thanks.

Glittering star God bless you for taking out time to reply me I really appreciate it. 439 is fair for EE though, I will give it a shot.

Please will beep you more if I need help.

Thank you

GlitteringStar:

Kindly find below the answers to your questions:

1. With your profile, your projected CRS score will be 439.

2. You must choose the NOC occupation that best describes your duties/responsibilities.

3. You and your spouse cannot use the same ECA.

4. Yes, you can collect a reference letter from an old employer

5. Read page 0 to know more about the whole process.

Note: Your projected CRS score is based on the following assumptions:

* You will evaluate both the BSc and National Diploma certificates to get points for "two or more certificates".

* Your spouse will evaluate his ND+HND certificates to get points for "two or more certificates".

* You and your spouse will aim to score a minimum of 8777 (LRSW) in the IELTS test.

Also note that 5 points will be deducted from your points in February (your birthday).

Good afternoon house, I would appreciate an enlightenment on my situation. For years I have been trying to do this but I always thought it was a cumbersome process until I stumbled upon nairaland.

Right now age isn't on our side. I am 34 will be 35 in Feb. My husband is 39 going 40 next October. I am thinking of being the PA because of age. I have an OND Sec.admin and BSC. Banking and finance, my husband has OND, HND and ICAN he is currently working but I have stopped working about 5years ago, I was a banker and worked for over 10 years since I completed my OND. I currently run a procurement and supply company which has been in existence since 2014.

Being a principal applicant what NOC would I claim and the possibility of going through the EE or PNP program in terms of CRS point.

Also do we do our ECA separately or there's a way to confirm both using only one application to WES. Can I also collect a reference letter from an old employer.

Thank you all.

Refused!
We regret to inform you that you do not meet the eligibility requirements

CORRESPONDENCE

Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
• Pursuant to paragraph 220(a) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.

PS: Paid tuition for a term

Exactly as the message I received yesterday. I was denied too. Just trying to get off the shock don't really know if I can reapply.
