Why do I feel the chopper company came up with this idea since they heard that the aviation authority wants to look into the issue why a chopper has to land on an express road.

Lieutenant-General Tukur Buratai, Chief of Army Staff, COAS, has charged commanders of the various units and formations of the Nigerian Army, NA, to flush out lazy officers and soldiers.

He said that the army would no longer tolerate a situation where the attitude of those he described as “quite a few bad eggs” with waning commitment to national and military cause that has resulted in setbacks to the army operations.



The COAS made this known at the closing of the weeklong maiden Army Headquarters Transformational Leadership Workshop over the weekend in Abuja.

He said, “The NA will do all that is necessary to fish out any bad eggs whose willingness to lead or follow as required has waned.



“Transformational leaders should not wait for them to get out of the way, you must kick them out of your way.

“In my opening remarks, I observed the attitude of quite a few bad eggs among us, whose commitment to our national/military cause has waned and led to setbacks in our operations.

“I am glad that this workshop has clearly shown to everyone that we have great reason to be proud of our nation.

“The long standing culture of service, sacrifice and honour in the NA has been reaffirmed in the various life lessons and examples of our colleagues – serving, retired or late – whose stories were highlighted during the workshop. This culture should reinvigorate and motivate you as transformational leaders for selfless service to the nation.

“The NA is already working to evolve and institutionalize formal mentoring frameworks to compliment the informal system that we currently practice. I have ensured that we take advantage of technology as force multiplier in our operations.

“Yet I am glad that your discussions on emerging technologies and innovations made it clear that our human capacity and willingness to work is vital for success.

“Lastly, the presentation on insights into the NA Strategic Plan 2019-2029 has given us hope that surely tomorrow will be better for the NA.”

When I was studying in OAU, I donated blood thrice and was issued a blood donor card after the second donation which they said entitled me and two other family members to free 4 pints of blood in any government hospital nationwide

While studying at the Nigerian Law School, I donated blood once and thus had 3 donation details in my card

Fast forward to 2017, My kid sister needed Two pints of blood in one government hospital in the South...and i could not donate to her because we had incompatible blood groups.

Despite me showing them my blood Donor card, they insisted I pay the full 25k per pint of blood...They said they could not contact NBTS to confirm my donor status

So after collecting 3 pints of blood from me for free save for the swan water, malt and peak milk they gave me to drink b4 donation, they found a way to cheat me when i needed to reap the benefit of my donation

I have now sworn not to donate my blood to any government establishment in Nigeria...

That's Nigerian government for you. That's why I collect money whenever I go to donate blood. Na Dem go talk say donate for free and when u do they will end up selling it to people in need. What a country.

Virtually everyone here clamouring to join ncs have began inculcating the habit of "quick money", if at this stage we are contemplating on how to collect egunje in other to enrich ourselfs we are actually destroying the sincererity of our future .the ultimate task of customs is to control what come in and out of the country specifically to regulate and apprehend contraband goods . Now, nigerian govt are making effort to create job and part of this strategy is import substitution so that our local industries can strive and create more job opportunities unfortunately ,contraband goods are still finding their way into the country because our customs at the borders are not doing the right. The longer we continue to build on the mindset of enriching our self the more we destroy the reputation of our children future . Jobs are scarce in the country because some certain people in authority are not delivering as expected. For example,goods that are manufacture by a local industry need not to compete with goods produced offshore ,however this goods are smuggled in to the country . This is not doing us any good ,it's killing our economy and thereby causing un- employment . Am an applicant not because I want to enrich my pocket ilegaly but for the passion I have for a selfless service for my father land. PLS CHANGE YOUR ANTIQUES MINDSET!
