Agbalowomeri: Not exactly your big capital But I think it's feasible once in a year or two if you know your game.
People don't know that it's so easy to target one or two stocks that are sure banker for the year. That doesn't mean it will fly immediately you buy but you can give yourself 6-12 months. Sometimes you even hit above 100% if you are patient enough. Sometimes luck can even push it in three months. I have experienced all these scenarios
Me think this is much easier than running after 2-5% when I no do Forex Lol
Anyway the Koko na to make the though as long as it works for you It’s easier to make 100% of 100k. Not same applies to making 100% of 1bn |

GeeKudi: Sure! If there is no significant pullback by analogue investors and profit takers, it should cross 100 by early next week. Thereafter, we will see how far people can stretch the largesse. May 2025 is too far for people like me. Will only leave few units for the Chinese. If one has large sum invested, let’s say 100m and sure to have a minimum of 10% before May. I think it’s still a decent profit. |

Streetinvestor2: Oga leave all this French you are speaking. Total is a French company simply. Nigeria and Africa can only be developed by Africans. This you so called investors that come with thr dollars does not have your country at heart. We know the mess your so called ioc has left concerning the environment in this region they operated. They come to Africa and operate with a standard they can not try in thr parent counties. They take home a larger bulk of money made in those countries and turn the people to slaves. When they go it gives opening for locals. Our survival is not tired to them We should not politicise everything. Anyone that wants to go can go.Every country has its own security challenge. I still prefer my naija to thr perfect country. Since the passing of the PIB, how well has the local improved the Standards? Instead they pay peanuts and fund their families lifestyle abroad . Some even don’t have a functional company but get contract which is re-contracted up to the 4th party that actually executes it. As a matter of fact, safety standards have dropped significantly. Everyone wants to cash out quick not investing Seem you don’t know so much about oil and gas and how this affect us in a country like ours. |

I don’t think caverton is doing well business wise. There is so much inefficiency in their chopper line. They are unable to meet up with demand. This has a likelihood of affecting their future contract.
A layman’s opinion. |

What is your opinion? Is it good a good buy at the current price? I’m going long term |

locodemy: You are my opposite. I don't do long term I want to know your story why you became a day trader. I don’t invest so much in NGX not until maybe last year. I’ve got burnt in NYSE, and I’ve learnt my lesson. Hope to go back when I bounce back. I’ve been following on NGX for years and this is the reason I will never invest in some stocks. But then again your vast experience will prepare me for what may come. At a very young age, I bought Honeywell public offer and even invited my family to buy it. Looking back, I have learnt a lot. This kept me away from NGX. That money would have yielded something good if invested on BITCOIN or even used to buy Apple Shares. I have realized the importance of my decision. |

emmanuelewumi: Based on the latest market update sent to me by United Capital the average
Price Book ratio on NGX is 2.2
Average Price Earning ratio is 11.1
Based on Graham's model, at a price book ratio of 2.2 the average return on equity should be 16%.
Based on an average return on equity of 16% the justified average Price Earning ratio on NGX should be 13.75.
With the current average PE of 11.1 the ASI will need to increase by 24% to have an average Price Earning ratio of 13.75 or ASI of 78,000.
Considering the current yield in the bond market, the expected increase of 24% will be discounted to 20.5% by using the average yield on a 10 year bond and the current yield on a 10 year bond.
So we should be looking at ASI of 75,000 for the NGX to actualize its intrinsic value.
I will advise people to look into stocks whose unleveraged return on equity is more than 16% although 20% and above is preferable and currently have a Price Earning ratio of 12 and below.
My opinion though.
Please do your due diligence Can sight example of such stocks? Not a big investor, but I’m looking at getting more of Wapco at market price tomorrow for a long term basis. What is your take? |
