Lampard dived. . . . . . He shoulda been carded.
What a shame!!!!
Chelsea were poor on the day.
Arsenal(wackest club in the TOP 4) woulda beaten Chelsea today.

Don't know why spurs lost dia first two games.
Red Card or i burst this Tele now. grin grin grin
Just yellow huh
The officiating has been horrendous. . . . . .
I cannot believe Mr Webb(Premiership's best referee) can be this pathetic.
He is wearing a BLUE SHIRT.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Hannibal: 3:09pm On Aug 31, 2008
Somebody tell me why Terry shouldn't be booked for that foul!!!
What kind of stupid officiating is this??
Terry clearly stopped that player advancing and that pathetic plonker, Webb looked the other way.

Is Kalou a striker??
What a waste of space!!!

@ Presido1,

This Chelsea side is not special. . . . . .
We would put em to test in September.
There's no cohesion, they lack team chemistry and they only go forward when Tottenham misplaces a pass.
They might win though but i ain't scared of this team at all.

Is chavs against Pompy one off?
They have not been impressive in their last two games.
This game is still open anyway, either side can clinch it.
Of course, Pompey didn't turn up on the day.
They were shambolic. . . . . . Redknapp's savings account should be thoroughly scanned if any mysterious amount was wired into it.
Chavs of NL promised we would see Samba style of football and we haven't seen ZILCH since then.
I should sue Nateevs and wormedup.

What a gift to Darren Bent.
Good strike by Darren.
One chance one goal
Sets it up for a fantastic second half.
1-1
SPURS didn't deserve that goal at all but then Chelsea's 1st goal was dodgy.
Firstly, Howard Webb allowed Essien to take out 2 players in a rugby tackle. . . . .Essien unleashed a shot that crashed into the bar.
The rebound got to Joe Cole who shoulda been flagged offside. . . . .Woodgate cleared it for a corner.
The resulting corner kick got Chelsea their goal. . . . . .These referees want respect and yet they cannot do their jobs effectively.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Hannibal: 2:24pm On Aug 31, 2008
Zenit is not a Premiership game. . . .

The Premiership is a war zone.
Tottenham will stifle your midfield in the 2nd half.
They are capable of getting a draw here at the Bridge.
Woodgate n King have been great at the back.

1-1.

Come on Tottenham. . . . . . . . .Bleep em UP!!!!!

One of the best strikers in Europe RVN; at 21- 22 was a central defender in the Dutch second division 3-4 years later he was one of the most sought after strikers in Europe.
You are a bloody Arrow . . . . . Van Nistelrooy got converted at 18 from a CB to a centre forward.
His agility and balance after a season at Den Bosch got him that call
21/22?? You must be smoking woolies.

Compare Kluivert because both of them were born on the same day the same year. When Kluivert was the hottest young striker in Europe RVN was not sure Football was his calling.
Right now RVN has surpassed Kluivert in my own estimation.
You are a dork. . . . . . When Kluivert won the UCL in 1995, he was a sub.
The main players then were Litmanen, Finidi, Overmars and Kanu.
It's like saying Fraizer Campbell is a hot property now for Man Utd starting from the bench.

Either you have a problem with English comprehension or basic common sense. tongue grin Kluivert was ready to retire at 25 because after that, he went on a steep decline at 25 he scores 25 goals, at 26 he scored 21, at 27 he scored 10 now he is averaging 3-4 per season at age 31!!!
Look at the statement yourself and tell me you are not a serial self-servicer.
Kluivert was ready for retirement because AFTER THAT?? Does this make any sense as a statement??
A player that just banged 25 goals in a season is at his full pelt. . . . . .Is Cristiano Ronaldo ready for retirement now because he scored 42 goals?
Dayo, common sense evades you stupendously. cheesy grin

RVN at 25 was just hitting his prime; he went on to become Europe's most feared striker after 25 years. Back to back UCL highest goal scorer. And in the top 2 highest goal scorer in the UCL of all time. Considering that he started much later than other contenders. Henry, Inzaghi Del Piero and Raul started much earlier.
The credit should go to Sir Alex Ferguson. RVN's career was lying in tatters with a long knee injury.
Fergie knew he could convert Ruud into a born predator especially with the quality of Beckham and Giggsy from the wing.
Kluivert at Man Utd might have even done better cos the team quality is there.

Are you out of your mindhuh England highest goal scorer?? As if England matters in European football. tongue tongue tongue tongue
A country not among the top 16!!! tongue tongue tongue Next you would be talking about The highest goal scorer for Fiji in the Asian cup tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue
England matters in European Football. . . . . .This was why Euro 08 was dull.
No spark, no excitement. . . . .Just the dum dum football. It reminds me of CAF Champions League competition.
Rooney went to make the team of the tournament as a striker. . . .There was no German striker in the team of the tournament.
Hell, Ballack was the only German player in the posse.

at 25 kluivert was ready to retire so what tells you Rooney wont retire at 25 to end a miserable career.
You are a goat!!!!
At 25, Kluivert was banging 25 goals per season for Barcelona.
Retirement?? That was when he recorded the highest league goals of his entire career.
I never knew u were this shallow about Euro footie.

Del Piero(Serie A), Raul (Champions league and La Liga), Kaka (UCL), C.Ronaldo(UCL and EPL) what are their position on the Field and what are their goal record They all have been top scorer at some point in time.
Rooney was England's highest goal scorer at Euro 2004, he played behind Michael Owen before his injury.
Matter of fact, He scored 4 goals in 3.5 games in that tournament. cheesy grin

Let me school you football a bit. last season Klose played behind Toni, In world cup 2002, he started behind Carsten Jancker
Forget last season when Klose was 29.

@ Dayokanu,

You are a gay. . . . . a moronic gay for that matter.
Age matters in football very well. . . . .There are early developers and late bloomers.
Can u sincerely say Rooney or Ronaldo has reached his peak as a footballer?? HELL NAH.

Has Klose reached his peak?? Of course. At 30, The law of diminishing returns has set in. grin cheesy
I give Klose 2 more years and he would be playing in Qatar. . . . . . . .Rooney will still play top flight football for another 8-9 years. cheesy grin
You see the difference??

Once again, i have proven u are not only a serial self-servicer BUT an ignorant person!!! grin cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Hannibal: 1:30am On Aug 31, 2008
@ Dayokanu,

You are an idiot. . . . . . .

Rooney and Klose's starting position are WAY different.
It's like comparing Dennis Bergkamp to Thierry Henry.
Besides, Rooney is 22. . . . . . . .Klose is 30.

When Miroslav was 22, he was scoring 2 goals per season. . . . . . Up till he was 24, he never recorded 20 goals in a single season. tongue
Compare Klose at 22 with Wazza of today and get back to me.
Wazza is still young with 8 or more years to put Klose's record into the bin. . . . . .

Go and learn to debate with your 2 eyes open, I have once again proven you are a resident serial self-servicer!!!
Bastian has only scored 16 league goals in the last 7 seasons(how pathetic).
U should be ashamed of yourself. grin cheesy

Manucho is a beast. . . . .a raw talent.
When CQ brought Manucho to Carrington for his trials, Fergie had to leave his press conference early to watch him play.
He told MUTV it's been a while he had been that impressed about a striker. . . . .Manucho was turning Vidic and winning aerial balls.
If he settles quickly, he would be a HIT.

On a more serious note, Fergie should get someone else if SPURS stall on Berbatov.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Hannibal: 11:36pm On Aug 30, 2008
@ ndumart,

Gazza messed up yesterday. . . . . . .I forgive him because he has been out for a while and could be rusty.
He conceded a corner kick without PRESSURE at all. . . . .That was how Zenit got the 1st goal.
Gazza needs games but i reckon SAF shoulda kept him for the easier games in the Prem but shit happens.
Wes Brown is the most improved United player. . . . . .The way he kept Arshavin quiet last night was outstanding. . . The little man never got going.

@ Emperoh,

The odds were stacked against Man Utd.
Zenit are 2/3 gone in their season thus they are fitter with an outstanding team chemistry.
United are still all over the place. . . . . Many players are yet to reach their full pelt so in terms of fitness n sharpness, we were the 2nd best.
We seem to always start slow but by october/november, United will start their winning run again beating every team that stands in our way.
This time last season, we had only 2 points from 9. . . . .Today, we have 4 points in 6.
HAPPY DAYS. . . . . . . . .

@hannibal
Yeah bro, i know Ronaldo will soon be back. For manucho, i can't really vouch on his pedigree. Dont know if he can stand the rigours of the EPL considering the fact that he left Petro for Pana (these leagues can't be compared to the EPL). though he did well at the Nations cup and he's good with aerial balls, i don't know of his other attribute. Besides he looks frail and may be easily intimidated by big defenders just like Coloccini and the likes did to Campbell.
Are u shitting me??
Manucho may well be Fergie's best signing if what i saw him doing @ Carrington when we signed him wasn't a fluke.
He is a faster, more agile Drogba. . . . . . .Nigga is very strong and would win most aerial balls in the danger area.
If Nani, Ronaldo, Brown and Evra can ping crosses into the box, Manucho would score.
His right foot is also lethal. . . . . . . . He can HIT em hard so we have a DIAMOND in the dirt waiting to be polished.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Hannibal: 10:36pm On Aug 30, 2008
@ ndumart,

Do we really need a new striker??
Lets not forget we still have Ronaldo/Manucho coming back to join the strike force!!!
Thats 2 added bodies to what we have now so why are we pushing the panic buttons??

Berbatov was left out from the squad to face Chelsea tomorrow.
Here i am thinking Fergie wants to leave the transfer late till Berbatov plots Chelsea's defeat so Man Utd can close the gap.
Now, that conspiracy theory has been blown into bits. . . . .Berbatov won't be playing against Chelsea tomorrow.
It's FUBAR!!!!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Hannibal: 10:28pm On Aug 30, 2008
@ All Mancs. . . . .

This countdown is serious.
Manucho's work permit is through already but he broke his metatarsal in the summer.
All we have as we speak is Rooney, Tevez and untested Fraizer Campbell.
I am confident Ferguson has a PLAN B should SPURS stall on Berbatov.

Huntelaar(according to MUTV) is attracted to Man Utd's NUMBER 9 shirt and could be the PLAN B.
Whatever Fergie does, we should have faith in him.
I have slated him in the past with his handling of the transfer market and he has proven me wrong time n time again.
United play well when they are under the cosh from the spastic media and rival fans.
IN FERGIE I STILL TRUST. wink wink
