buzquet:I talkam before. Tell an average southwestener or northerners that fuel scarcity results from Nigeria's lopsided political structure in a unitary government system which throw up bad leaders who for decades could not fix Nigeria, they will not agree. They shall blame the immediate leader. |
Fuel scarcity did not start this time to kill Nigeria silently. Before this outgoing administration temporarily stopped fuel scarcity, Nigerian rich had started to build filling station inside their high-walled and barbed-wire enclosed compounds. Until Nigerians let up in their dependency on proceeds from crude oil in the Niger delta for living and restructure the country to fiscal federalism, Nigerians must continue to weep . |
Laughable excuses in the seventh oil producing country of the world. You don't have fuel because Nigeria has suffered leadership failure since the late 1970s. The country's political structure and unitary government system were badly created, they make the far north section of Nigeria unduly influence the choice of who must lead the country anytime. Bad leaders emerge, while the best are filtered out by the system. |
pheliciti:Buhari a contemporary of late Mrs Thatcher. But Thatcher is long gone, your lopsided political structure still throws up Buhari as your president. And you are proud. Ageing is associated with forgetfulness. |
stan241:Polity turned to a circus? They also taught you that PDP and Jonathan invented Boko Haram which turned Nigeria into a circus - BH which eventually sacked Jonathan. That's a president would invent a violent group to sack his government. No amount of lie the SW media did not invent to miseducate gullible voters like you to sack Jonathan. |
stan241:Lost beyond redemption - that is, if you are not an impostor. SW -controlled media taught you that Jonathan government is a failure. |
booqee:Not much different from the propagators of the warfare-like election propaganda which SW-controlled media used against Jonathan; not much differenct from the BH lies and violence that sacked Jonathan from office. To people of your sort, whoever says what does not suit you is either a tribalist or mad before you |
stan241:Me crying over lost election. You dey well so? You lost the election as good as me - If you have head to think well. When the non-working political structure and unitary government system filtered off all the strong, well-educated, healthier, non-controversial Nigerians, but brought a man like Buhari as president of Nigeria, you do not know that you lost in the election? Your suffering has already started. For six years you bought fuel like water, unlike the past decades when fuel scarcity was grinding Nigeria's economy to nearly a halt. But you voted to sack the people that fir six years made you fetch fuel like water. . Remember? Big men in Nigeria were building filling station in their compounds to store fuel, until Jonathan became president and chased away hoarders. Jonathan told you he wanted to abolish subsidy so that fuel-suplly shall be 'buy as you can.' But your lot are used to freebees hence you marched all over the SW protesting against Jonathan policy. Una think say Baba go do Miracle? |
MichaelSokoto:Buhari is a coupist. He organized the coup that overthrew Shagari. Read the documentaries of eye witnesses to the coup, not what some journalists from somewhere told you. The rest of long turenchi that you wrote to impress me that you are educated better than me from the south: I have to go tomorrow to ask that Edo state man that speaks long bombastic English words to interprete for me |
ba7man:Silently melt away? Lol. You still live in the years of military dictatorship. It is either that Buhari tolerates every shade of opinion and absorbs every criticism, or he gets away from governing Nigeria. After all, Buhari was voted president because GEJ allowed every shade of opinion and absorbed every criticism. GEJ even signed FOI act into law. |
MichaelSokoto:Celebrate. SW region which controls Nigeria's media told you that Jonathan government was a failure. You swallowed it hook, line and sinker. Because you lack critical mind owing to the quality of education you received since Buhari and his successor military coupists gradually reduced Nigeria's education standards to below base line. So you are not to blame. After all, what you want is Aso Rock by any means. |

' @MichaelSokoto. Throughout the period of the last presidential campaign, your Fulani song was about sending GEJ back to Otuoke. When GEJ goes now, your papa shall send troops to Otuoke to enable yourself and your papa tap oil revenues from or near Otuoke, whereas for six years, troops could not stop your Boko Haram who consumed nearly a billion Dollars as government troops fought them, as well as sending GEJ back to Otuoke. Na so una sense come reach. |
stan241:If you can not complete even one logical statement, please steer away from me. For example, you asked: if the SW media convinced people that GEJ was bad, how about people like you from the south who voted against Jonathan? Does that argument of yours make any sense to you? Well, it is people like you that voted Buhari, it is people like you that are in the majority in this country. Go watch Lagbaja's latest Muzik Video: 200million mumus. |
domopps:It's getting to two months since the last presidential election when your type voted to tell Jonathan and his crew that they are not good. For six years, Jonathan and his crew stopped the perennial fuel scarcity that plagued Nigerians, drove Nigerians's economy to overtake SAfrica's. But SW media convinced voters and rest of the world that Jonathan and crew are bad. Jonathan and crew have skin like human beings, perhaps anger has made them withdraw because of not being appreciated by majority if Nigerians. |
chax100:Coup? Last election, some sections of Nigeria voted to approve the phenomenon of a serving soldier rising to take over a civilian government and rule the country, acquire fame and money, retire or be booted out by another coupist, and then come back when democracy is restored and ask to be voted president, and become voted president. So military incursion any time now is not going to be termed out of style. |
Jonathan chased away fuel crises that tormented Nigerians for decades. Some sections of Nigeria used the media they control to tarnish Jonathan's image worldwide. Another section used BH violence and helped with negative publicity by the other section that controls the media made the electorate reject Jonathan. Let's pray this fuel scarcity does not remain like the decades before Jonathan became president. |
MrMcJay:GEJ sent fuel scarcity creators away immediately he became president. You condemn Jonathan government. GEJ made trains running for the first time since your slave masters killed it. You condemn Jonathan government. GEJ signed Freedom of Information/Speech into law. You condemn Jonathan government. For the first time in history, under GEJ government with economy steered by Iwealla, Nigeria's economy overtook that of SAfrica. You condemn Jonathan government. Ebola devoured WAfrican countries it entered. GEJ government managed it and was applauded by the world. You condemn Jonathan government. You must be condemning Jonathan government because it did not bring food to your table, or you read only info from SW media. You voted for doom last election , pray that doom must not destroy you and your family. You told Jonathan and crew that they were bad and they hands off everything. Wait till May 29 to go back to the old system, then fuel scarcity in Nigeria was as common as day and night . |
InvertedHammer:Tell urself the truth, Iwealla could not have run Nigeria's economy aground - from OBJ to GEJ. You protested all over Lagos when Jonathan wanted to remove subsidies to fuel. Nigeria's economy for the first time surpassed South Africa's - Western Financial institutions broke the news to the world - though SW media said it was false. Issue is that Nigerians do not want to work. Nearly every Nigerian is dependent on oil proceeds from one part of the country. Restore fiscal federalism to Nigeria or watch the country flounder. |
ceejay80s:Tell Nigerians that people in Nigeria must see better when the country is split into smaller manageable countries, the SW and north refuse because of wrong belief that no country can survive without crude oil proceeds. |
Change!! Nigeria may go back to pre 1999 when an average akara or vegetable trader in Benin and Togo Republics had mobile phones, but Nigerians had none. ISIS may soon March on Baghdad. Nigeria voted a sympathizer of BH as President. A section of south of Nigeria because of hate for Jonathan and Igbos in his government voted and took Nigeria back to the 1970s. |
wirinet:When Soludo took on Iwealla, it was obvious that Buhari must defeat Jonathan. BH had wrecked Jonathan popularity then. Ezekwesili with her #BringBackOurGirls have been looking for attention. But if not for attention seeking, why would an outsider challenge an insider for economic debates on the country's economy? With what statistics will the outsider debater? Sections of Yorrober and their media have fought bitterly every Igbo that served Jonathan government. Few persons would understand that there are other non-Igbos that served Jonathan government in juicer positions than Igbo ministers. |
wirinet:Do You need to be told that Soludo and Ezekwesili are looking for jobs? |
Let Buhari appoint any Alhaji or Alhaja who barely read economics to manage Nigeria's finances including oil revenues , let Yorrober media rest. Sanusi Lamido whose only post graduate qualification is Quaran studies remains heroic CBN governor for Yorrober journalists, notwithstanding that Sanusi planned to wreck Nigeria's economy given the way and manner he came to the open market to announce that $50 billion Dollars, later $40 billion Dollars, and later $20 billion Dollars missing. An economy managed by unqualified people would crash immediately after Sanusi made his allegations. |
chronique:Journalism is usually meant for people who don't like to sweat or dirty themselves while making a living. Yorrober controlls Nigeria's media. They feed jaundiced information to Nigerians. |
justianoo:You are the most Stupeeeed of Yorrober or Awusaaa. |
PStacks:Don't judge success or failure of Jonathan administration, or any administration, based on information produced by SW editors who control all of Nigeria's media. WAIT FOR WHAT SW'S CHOICE, BUHARI, SHALL ACHIEVE BEFORE JUFGEMENT; EVEN THOUGH WHATEVER NORTHERN PEOPLE DO AGAINST NIGERIA AMOUNTS TO NO SIN FOR PEOPLE OF SW REGION. |
Iwealla was in charge of economy when OBJ doubled as President and Petroleum Minister for years with Kupolati as NNPC boss. Some Yoruba and its media did not raise dust against OBJ's unjustified occupation of position of oil minister. Yoruba have used its media to insult Deziani, Iwealla, Jonathan and his southeast ministers all the years. |
Under Iwealla, Nigeria's economy surpassed South Africa's for the first time. But part of Yoruba and media it controlls says it's a lie told by Western Financial institutions to promote Iwealla. Those Yoruba and their media promoted Buhari (Lol) candidacy to sack Iwealla. Iwealla is going but some Yoruba would not let up. |
eesy:You tell lies even to yourself. Truth is that Oil will continue to be Nigeria's means of livelihood till ... The amalgamation of SW and north of Nigeria in APC is to control oil revenues till..... |
JerryOJerry:Lol, No. 10 shall soon organize a referendum to withdraw UK membership from European Union. But No 10 is warming up for relations with Africa's No. 1 oil producer. And some mumu Africans in Nigeria are celebrating Buhari's frequent visits to "sell Nigeria" in return for UK backing to enable Buhari rule Nigeria - returning Nigeria to colonialism. |
OrlandoOwopost=34022153:You are cheering colonialism returned to Nigeria. Buhari knows he can't govern modern Nigeria given the injustices of political restructuring his fellow northern soldiers created, given how his north has driven away most of the southerners from the north, but still takes in huge oil revenues from the south. This worsens the injustice of lopsided political distribution of states and Lgas in favour of north. Thus Buhari is characterized now by seeking backing from colonial masters since he started his latest political campaign. Yeye de smell. Buhari and SHOWMANSHIP FROM BRITAIN. |
But foreign women also want property - else why did the young lady agree to marry Oshiom? Abi na because Oshiom's rod de stronger, taller and performs better than others? |
