Before the election, Republicans bragged about an army of lawyers from three major firms lined up to quickly challenge election results in the presidential election.

But now that the big moment has arrived, that army — and those major firms — have not been too visible.

Behind the scenes, much of the legal work has been handled by small conservative firms. And publicly, President Donald Trump has relied on his staunchest political allies — some of whom aren’t even lawyers — to explain why states should toss out ballots or invalidate the results altogether.

There’s a reason for that.

As with everything Trump, the messaging has served as more a base-pleasing political play and less as an attempt to make a logical legal argument to the country, according to Republicans familiar with the plan. The goal is to not only undermine the legitimacy of Joe Biden’s win, but to also rile up supporters for the runoff fight in Georgia that will determine which party controls the Senate next year. It also serves to sow doubt about the integrity of U.S. elections now and in the future, benefiting Trump’s I-never-lose posture.

Legally, the Trump team has not made much, if any, progress. Since the Nov. 3 election, the president’s attorneys have not won significant legal challenges in the key swing states Biden won or leads in: Michigan, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia and Nevada. In some cases, Trump’s team didn’t present the evidence needed to invalidate ballots. Other times, his team didn’t even send in the right documents.

That is exactly what the rest of the world is doing now. I saw an earlier post on this thread about The Canadian PM already getting to work with Biden. Only in magats head is Trump still relevant. He would eventually pack his bags and go to prison.

Bros, let me fill you in on something the Democrats can do - backed by the Swamp in FBI.

There was one of Trump's volunteer agent in the 2016 election called Papadoupolous. At the start of his term of office, Trump was met with a very huge resistance from within and without. Papadopolous was handpicked by the FBI, charged and currently serving a prison term - on charges unrelated to the Trump campaign back then.

So, AG Barr and some new people in the DOJ recently discovered that Papadoupolous was actually a CIA agent working for the government during the period he was being investigated by the FBI. So, an e-mail was sent by the FBI to the CIA to confirm the veracity of this claim by the CIA.

The CIA responded in the affirmative! Papadoupolous is their man - in an e-mail.

But guess what? One guy in the FBI called Clinesmith got a copy of the e-mail, and changed the "Papadoupolous is our agent" from the CIA to the FBI. He changed it to "Papadoupolous is not our agent" - thereby perverting the course of justice. Peter Strozk and Lisa Page insurance policy comes to mind.

Clinesmith is cooling off his heels as we type.


Now, tell me why you think Trump is safe in that white house, if he doesn't fight for what is right?
