I'm a naturalized citizen. I became a citizen in 2012, 3 months before the general election of that year. I voted for a 3rd party nominee for president. I wasn't too thrilled with either Obama or Romney lol.

I haven't seen a British thread here, too. Maybe there were some a few years ago.

As Americans, we're taught to be open and welcoming. We also value our freedoms and like to eat our 12-inch sub sandwiches

I will say we live in kinda rigid society with respect to schedules. Visits to friends/family is always planned.

Yeah, Kasich is sane and mature, but most voters (on the Republican side) want a loud-mouthed demagogue to win the nomination. Kasich reminds me of John Huntsman in the 2012 cycle. He seemed reasonable and polite, but he hardly gained traction in that race. It just goes to show that the voting public like politicians that run "attack ads" against each other.

Rubio's fast talking style would leave either HRC or Bernie sprawling. His 25-second memorized speech routine will be fine-tuned before the September debate. However, his hard-right stance on immigration issues may be his undoing in November.

I think Rubio would be a formidable general election opponent to HRC. He is beating her in hypothetical match-ups by over 5 points in the various polls. It could be the reason why Democrats want Trump to be the GOP nominee. Both Clinton and Sanders are either beating him, or tying him in the same hypo polls.

Moreover, Trump would be absolutely clobbered in a general election debate with either Dem candidate, as he hasn't developed any coherent policy proposal in any area.

If Awolowo could implement free education in the old Western region, Sanders thinks the same policy can work here.

But some parts of America's political economy is already socialist i.e. social security, medicare, medical etc. His free education policy would be funded by a tax on "Wall Street speculation"

I hear you. One way or the other we'll get there. At least if he's successful in making us depend on locally made goods. I believe that will go a long way to help the economy of this country. 99% of everything we import is made in China. And China didn't get there in a year. They had to cope with hard policies for some time. Now the biggest American companies have manufacturing plants in china. Apple, Microsoft, R.I.M to name a few.

I believe steps and procedures are in place to make things better. The president knows what the country is. Going through and I believe he's not that heartless to turn deaf ears. I just hope the decisions he makes are the right once. So once again I pray God gives him the wisdom to deliver.
