I am done reading all the posts. I have no contribution to make on this. I have my views though about the legality or otherwise of drugging and crating an accused. I have my views about kidnapping people and thinking it is right. I also hold my views on executive recklessness and high handedness. I know what i think about maximum rulership and democratic process. I shall live to see the change that a leopard will bring to its spots. When they kill catholics and others and i refuse to talk because i am none of those, when they come for me, will they be anyone left to speak? The world will be watching us.

Culture › Re: 10 Reasons Why Nigeria Is The Best Country In The World by hardbody: 7:55am On May 12, 2015
dkingsman82:
1. Weather conditions

While in this cool country, you can enjoy almost all types of climate conditions like rainfall, humidity, sunshine etc. Nigerian weather is usually hot and humid because of its location, with normal temperature of 30 degrees. The hottest season usually starts sometime in February and ends around May, during this season even the nights are warm with the temperature of about 26 degree Celsius. If you enjoy rainy season then May and June are the ideal months for you for visiting Nigeria.

2. Nigeria is the land of opportunity

Nigeria is essentially a virgin business country with capacity for many fresh business ideas. If you have a great business idea and the capital, you will make a lot of money in this beautiful country. Why? There are more than 160 million individuals and a big informal market of customers. If you are lucky enough to find the right market section and establish a business, your net profit will go through the roof. For example, at the arrival of cell phones in the Nigeria, MTN, a South African Company came into Nigeria as one of the first overseas investors. It is believed that MTN makes a great deal of cash from Nigeria than its home nation, likewise so many other companies

3. Nigeria Flag

The Nigerian white and Green flag is an eminent national image. The white color symbolizes unity and peace while the green color symbolizes agriculture. Other national images include the Nigerian Coat of Arms, which shows an eagle on a dark shield, trisected by 2 wavy silver bands, and supported on both sides by 2 chargers. The national motto lies beneath the coat of arms: Unity and Faith, Peace and Progress

4. Nigerian Accent

The Nigerian accent is presently positioned by CNN Global Experiences as the fifth sexiest accent on the planet.

5. Nigerian Food

Nigeria is so great when it comes to things given to them by nature to make food – Oka, Amala, Egbo, Koun, Agbalumo, Orobo (Jumbo Mirinda), Dodo Ikire, Kulikuli, Gbegiri, Ipekere (Plantain chips), Fufu, Abari-maize cake, Ole ( beans cake), Rice, Kpukpuru-Ilaje, Iyan-Pounded Yam, Zobo, Abula, Pomo, Bbaba dudu, Kilishi, Ewedu all known to the wide variety of Nigerian communities but definitely without simple identifiable English equivalents.

6. The concept of family in Nigeria is great

The responsibility, the sense of belonging and the care shared within families is exceptionally great. Family connections are valued and traced as far as second and third cousins. More often than not you will get to hear of my towns’ man being likened to my brother or my sister. Nigerians live a communal lifestyle. In Nigeria, the extended family is part of the immediate family.

7. Nigerians are happy people

Nigerians celebrate every occasion. They have greetings for a new car, a new month, a new wife etc. In Nigeria even your new phone can be a reason to celebrate.

8. Nigerian women

Nigerian ladies are tasteful, beautiful and stand out easily, with their great feeling of design. Agbani Darego, previous Miss World, is a good example of this. Nigeria ladies are conceived fashionistas.

9. Friendliness

Nigerians are exceptionally friendly – to a Nigerian, you do not need to receive an invitation to come visiting as you can visit anybody anytime you want. Be sure to receive warm invitation from total strangers in several parts of the nation for simply showing up at their doorstep. Respecting the elders is very vital in Nigeria. A youngster will always stand up for a senior to sit in a waiting room.

10. Intelligence:

The average Nigerian is naturally intelligent. History is loaded with stories of Nigerians everywhere all over the planet, accomplishing academic feats, one of which is Ibraheem Saheela, who at 15, has actualized the objective of receiving admission to the prominent Harvard University, with the goals of becoming a research scientist, studying the human brain. Nigeria is the first nation in Africa to effectively plan, manufacture and launch a satellite

OP, just explain in one sentence why this is a reason for Nigeria to be a good place of visit as against all other Countries. Please in your explanation, tell me countries without flags and motto:

Add small money join, you go don buy push and start Golf. Give it to a struggling young man and he will be feeding his family and returning like at least 4k to you everyday. Most of all, you would have helped feed some hungry mouths who will remain forever grateful to you.

Before you guys adulterate this news, let me explain. These Banks are systemic important Banks. It means they are very important to the growth of the country or they are too big to fail. If they do fail, the negative outcome would be too much. These Banks are also referred to as First-tier Banks Category. Many of them has applied for the implementation of Basel II (Basel II just means capital adequacy or in layman's ensuring you have enough capital/equity and adequate risk appetite) and in implementing Basel II, you must grow or increase your capital to a certain ratio and that is what CBN is requiring the Banks to do - Give us a timetable to implement Basel II and increase your Capital.

If you follow the trend of events, you would notice that Diamond Bank offered right issues, I believe last year. Access Bank has done their right issue this year. I believe other Banks within the category will follow suit too. If the Right issues cannot raise the adequate capital, public issues would be made. However, the news does not mean that the financial institutions not mentioned are at risk.
cheesy cheesy cheesy Bros we can read and comprehend. Some of us have even been there before and understand your struggle against runs on the bank. Let this news go virile, body go tell you.

When i told him that this brings it to total of 5 Nigerians. He argued that they could be more.

Congratulations to Mazi Victor.

Great Post let me share what happened to a colleague of mine about 1 week ago, he received a BVN Mail like what you just showed, he only clicked on the link and changed his mind and closed the email but sadly in a few days 800k had left his account illegally. Don't even click on the link, just click on report a phishing scam, under your spam option in your Yahoo E-mail.
Your friend is not telling the whole truth. You must enter details before they can scam you. Another thing, if you bank with say GTB, download their app. With this app you can do virtually everything including stopping some running transactions.

The banks do this regularly. People just refuse to learn. I dont even generally use outside ATMs except under an emergency. I withraw with a pinpad and pay most times with POS. Everybody goes home happy except the criminals who wont get anything from me. God punish their generation.

‎It's unfortunate that the Fraud has become a component of the Fabric of the Nigerian society.

Daily unscrupulous Nigerians device devilish of defrauding their fellow
Citizens of their hard earned cash!

I get several emails daily I also believe that others get this mails too, my elder brother once lost his savings to this men of the underworld.

At about 12 midnight one day he started receiving alerts for Monies he never withdrew by day break the account was empty!!!
Why?  He filled the demonic form online ‎!!!!

The lastest  weapon of these lazy men and women is the BVN  a Biometric identification means that was introduced by the central Bank to safeguard bankers and their deposits

Their Scheme ‎

They  copy the design of the Bank in question, colour, language, pics just name it

They Send a customized email in the Banks Name with Links to a site where the will collect your particulars including ATM Numbers and PINS

TIMING

They target Customers mainly On Fridays or in Public Holidays that way the Customer find it Difficult to contact the Bank to Block the card until his or her account is emptied

TRUTH

BVN registration cannot be done online the owner of the account must present his/herself physically for his thumb print and other data to be captured

No Bank sends email with any Link to Validate any account or Cash Any Money once you see an email with aa Link to a Data base it's a FRAUD click at your own risk

NO bank will ever ask for your PIN NO matter the circumstances

See a Copy of the Mail I got this evening! See Pics Below

I do not have any Account with ACCESS BANK
Yet Fake ACCESS Bank in a Bedroom somewhere with a Laptop is threatening to close an account that does not even exist!

Where they ask for other information i pile more curses and send it to them. Point is like the op said other than a limited few things, most of these things having to do with personal identification cannot be requested online by any bank. Am really gonna miss this guy. I thought he had probably left classic fm when I did not hear him for sometime. His combination with Buki and JD on FPN was out of this world. Always called JD Jimi two times. No disrespect to the new guy, Yinka but he can never be SLY. Rest in peace bro.
I have never stopped stopped listening to FPN ever since they started (except on Mondays when JD is usually not in to co-analyze). Having said that and appreciating SLY and Bukki, I think it is not fair to start comparing Yemi with SLY. I already have my views about Yemi but I am certain that there is no need for that comparison, at least not yet. Yemi will learn the ropes and get the grips soon enough.

Interestingly it is only on FPN that i ever bothered to listen to SLY, and mostly when Jimi 2 times is there.

I regret missing the night of songs yesterday, i simply forgot and to think a walk from my office to the venue is less than 3 minutes. I simply could not have attended his burial, i hate that axis of Lagos and it was certainly going to be rowdy and urchins will surely have a field day.

May God encourage his young widow and little kids.
