People coming down east from north are coming.to meet some form of sanity and welcome. Northerners running up country are going into the hands of BH bombers. Loss loss situation for them, no thanks to Buhari

Weren't people still living in the East during the civil war...or did all Igbos port to Cameroon for the duration of the war?
Even if u were too young to understand the dynamics you at least can read books on the war. Igbos were in an enclave and could not go anywhere within Nigeria. Sorrounded by everyone that hated them and wanted them exterminated. BH attack is more from the extreme of NE more like Chad. Those people can evacuate inwards and people will accommodate them. If what i have said is bad, I am sorry. Let them remain there because igbos did not port during the genocide.

Phiozy:
Nice one. Pls do you have any idea where someone with just a law degree can work? A friend just want to study law in the university without going to law school (though may probably go ahead with Law School if her name comes out)and probably further in International Relations(Masters) cos she desires to work in a Foreign Ministry/Organisation. Is that possible?
Your first degree in Law LL.B qualifies you as a ĺawyer and gives you right to practise as a solicitor and you can handle jobs related to solicitorship. Preparation and stamping of deeds, CAC jobs, etc. However in todays Nigeria almost every employer of labour will insist that a prospective employee must have been called to Bar and this will definitely restrict chances of employment if it is not acquired. Encourage your friend to go through the process. The advantage beyond getting an employment is that it enables you venture into practice on your own when everything else fails. It is also instructive to note that the Law School programme helps in clearer understanding and application of those courses taught in the Uni such as equity and trusts, criminal law, evidence and procedure. There are law school courses tailored to bring all of these courses together and bring them to life. I wish your friend the very best.

ganye1:
Breaking News: Buhari sues Fani-
Kayode over certificate forgery
claim
BY NEWSPUNCH ON JANUARY 24, 2015
General Muhammadu Buhari may have instructed his
lawyers to file a libel action claiming billions of naira
against Femi Fani-kayode, the director of media and
publicity of President Good luck Jonathan ‘ s campaign
for alleging that he forged his school certificate,
newspunch.org can authoritatively report.
Don’t miss: Buhari’s certificate is fake – Fani-Kayode
Reliable sources from the ex-General’s camp, but who
pleaded anonymity disclosed to Newspunch.org that,
General Buhari has vowed to file the case and fight to it
logical conclusion in order to protect his name and
integrity that Femi Fani-kayode is striving to destroy
because of politics and in order to save his neck from
the corruption related case pending against him in the
High Court.
According to our source, General Buhari said this time
he would never accede to a settlement of the proposed
case as he did when he sued the current Media Adviser
to the President , Mr. Reuben Abati.
It will be recalled that in 2011 after the general election
General Buhari sued Mr. Abati for writing in his column
in the Guardian Newspaper that it was General Buhari
that instigated the violence that erupted in some part of
the North after the result of the Presidential election was
declared. The matter was later settled out of court after
some eminent Nigerians intervened and pleaded with
General Buhari to forgive and forget. The Guardian
newspaper thereafter published an disclaimer and an
apology to General Buhari in several editions saying that
it was misled to publish the defamation against General
Buhari.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign
organisation has described the West African School
Certificate result of the presidential candidate of the All
Progressives Congress (APC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari,
as a “forgery.”
The Director of Media and Publicity, Chief Femi Fani-
Kayode, at a news conference in Abuja, declared the
result sheet issued by the Cambridge examination body
as fake, adding that it was superimposed on another
document
Fani-Kayode said: “The column lines on the part where
names are printed do not align with the blank columns,
while there is an introduction of extraneous lines on
some other columns.
“The document contains an obvious alteration on the
Mathematics column of the candidate, Mohamed Buhari,
who was assumed to have scored an “F” in the subject.
“This raises a very fundamental issue of validity in view
of the fact that the accompanying result sheet states that
‘any alteration or erasure renders this statement of
Results invalid’.
“This is the standard practice in all interpretation of
documents especially academic records. The question
we put to Gen. Buhari and his party is whether this
alteration was done by the University of Cambridge.
“One of the footnotes on the document purportedly
issued by the University of Cambridge said ‘the results of
this candidate in all subjects except English Language
have been carried forward from the 1960 examination’.
“The question arising from this is: When exactly did
Buhari sit for all the other subjects claimed to have been
passed in the Secondary School Examination?
“Our conclusion from all these is that the documents
purportedly released by Government College (Pilot)
Katsina, upon which the APC Presidential candidates
hopes to bury the doubt about his eligibility for next
month’s election are forged, manipulated and
fraudulently procured.
“They are therefore untenable in fact and in law. We do
not know who the authors and masterminds of this
forgery are but whoever they are, we urge them to come
forward and be identified.
“If they fail to come forward voluntarily, we hereby call
on the police and other security agencies to seek them
out, find them, arrest them, interrogate them and
prosecute them in accordance with the laws of the land.
“We reiterate our call on Gen. Buhari to submit himself to
the police to answer charges of perjury, having lied on
oath about his academic qualifications. This is what a
man who claims to represent integrity and due process
ought to do in this situation”.
http://www.newspunch.org/exclusive-buhari-to-sue-fani-kayode-over-certificate-forgery-claim/
Bugaria is smarter than that i believe. There is a drfence in defamation called Justification. What it does is that it allows the defendant to bring all the proofs in the world to show he was right. Bugaria does not want more of his fraudulent humble beginnings to be exposed some more. This must be a huge joke and should be sent to the appropriate section.

Most of those who trusted Jonathan to secure their lives and properties have either been killed by boko haram or ran away from their homes due to the insurgency.

So tell me,who is going to waste his time going for the campaign? To make matters worst, there is a massive presence of soldiers all for the purpose of the campaign rally. After the campaign, the soldiers disappear while the people of Borno continue living in fear.

Jonathan has failed the people of the NE so he has no business campaigning there.
The only reason they did not come out is the scare of BH put in place and sponsored by their god head uncle buhari . Little wonder he has assured us he will call them to order once sworn in. He tried to live up to his promise of making Nigeria ungovernable for Goodluck.

Pls note....I dont care for Goodluck either. Both aspirants incompetent and power crazy dolts. We analyze situations with no partisan interests.

I love law ....I enjoy it and I ve a very gud prospect of a greener and brighter tomorrow ..... but not intimidated by ur post its something I ve considered and ruminated abtlong time ago ..... currently in Lagos law sch campus
My dear, what you read on that post was written by a frustrated person with little or no knowledge about how law works. Study hard and pass your bar finals and get called to the bar. Using myself as an example:

I graduated 2.1. Served with a bank, practised with a law firm that has a SAN as the head of chambers. I moved on to join union bank, later i joined fidelity bank. From Fidelity i joined Globacom. I left Glo to a non banking financial institution and then to another. I am presently in a talk with an upstream oil and gas company. I will retire to practise. Does the idiotic op know that our options are limitless? Pursue your dreams. As an aside, the ivy league law firms like O&A, Templars, Aelex, etc pay better than banks and expose you to off shore trainings, jobs and partnerships. The OP lives in a small cocoon and may never realize what happens in real life.

As a lawyer, i have never been delayed on the road when i am doing inter state travels. The Police respect you and the ordinary man steers clear. Again I say, pursue your dreams.

This WASC issue is not a 'pressing issue'. It is a silly distraction.

The School statement suffices...besides WASC is just a minimum requirement

It is easily verifiable that he went to the US war college and obtained a diploma... That is above a WASC certificate.
Bros you went to school and understand the implication of gaining admission fraudulently. Even when you have been awarded a degree and it is later realized that you were not qualified to have spent the duration in the university, the degree is withdrawn.

Apply that in the instant case and be advised that no matter the qualifications that Buhari may possess, they may amount to a nullity if he was never qualified to take those degrees.

This is a very simple academic logic that has more or less become constitutional because it is a requirement.

He can go ahead and contest, but a precedent would have been set.

This expectation of fastest growing economy, where do they expect this to happen, when we have all been blown to smithereens? Is their expectation of our disintegration not one of the reasons why they have failed and refused to sell armaments to us to fight BH? And when they even made all the noise about coming to help us find the chibok 200+ girls, they quietly left with their tails under their legs.

When by chance you happen to make your way out of nigeria and start to make a living abroad some relatives of yours make life not one to be enjoyed here are some of the common ones

Letter of invitation: if you per chance become a full citizen you become inundated with lots of requests. Everyone wants a letter of invitation.

Finance: This is the most annoying. Everybody expects you to be super rich once you live abroad, you keep being asked for money for saundry things that could well have easily been taking care of without your knowledge. Take for instance if you live in america and you earn 700$ a week after paying all your bills and sending money home you have very little savings, you can't afford luxury things for yourself

Spiritual attacks (winch)
Like m.I says 'bad belle is allowed' but the one from people in the villa is too much. Most people won't live and let live they keep looking for whose life to destroy.once you go abroad even if your a janitor who barely makes a living they still send bullets to u

Gift: when during xmas period you see a black person carrying a lot of gifts in his/her trolley that person is probably a nigerian. You buy things for everybody ranging from your siblings to your father's nephew's cousin's sister's stepson's gateman. Everybody must get something or the person woulrd start to spew trash about you

These are some of the ones I know of if you have ever been in this position feel free to add yours
LOL. Where I come from, every end of year, we compare notes with the guys abroad and so far we are doing better than most if not all of them, so none of these issues arise. Apart from the older generation that hit it big (my uncle who is in Houston and was already large before he traveled and continued doing well, employing oyinbos in his companies both in Nigeria and abroad) and a few others in his category, all my school and classmates are still struggling to make an impact. It was severally a point of discussion as we were hanging out this xmas. We point at their parents dilapidated houses begging for retouch and renovations, you cant see the one they have built for themselves, they bring in one Tokunbo car that they sell when they are done in the Villa, they are stingy with buying booze (we the locals declare for all as many times as they want). All we see around them are large sporting wears with big canvass and a lot of wanna wanna gonna gonna.

Like i said, where i come from...
