Education › Re: 5 Reasons Why You Should Stay Off-Campus by hardbody: 5:46pm On Feb 04, 2015
anigold:
If you attended UNIVERSITY OF CALABAR .
,you must know a place called malabor(male And female hostel)..

I had the most interesting period in my life during my stay in the Malabor

Free light/almost 18 hours of light each day, proximity to classes(after some long lectures I will rush to my room to shower), low cost of living, security and access to information..

Some folks were talking about privacy everything depends on how you relate with your room mates cos my lady used to visit me often..

You END up with better social skills...
Thumbs up. I did not only spend my 4 years in malabor as a malabite, i spent those years in the capital that is hall 4. It was so bad thay when i was accommodated in the more convenient and posh hall 2 in the main campus, i swapped and came back to hall 4. I had fun, socialized and still came out with a 2.1. Hostel is the ultimate for me anyday anytime.
Christianity Etc › Re: TB Joshua Returns N500,000 Tithe To Elderly Woman by hardbody: 3:40pm On Feb 04, 2015
Everybody had worked on her papers for almost 2 years and when at the threshold of her getting the gratuity she goes to TBJ and now she believes it was the man that did it for her. If tithe as they claim is 10%, 500k is 10% of what figure and that woman in the picture does not represent a person earning a fraction of that month on month.

Enough orchestration of this man who should be serving jail term for multiple manslaughter arising out of criminal negligence.

Ghanians are better in diction than Nigerians

All those chech(churc)....meder (mother) moshin (motion) are the correct pronunciations. The language is english and not native to any of us in Nigeria.

I still thank God that no lives were lost. God guided me against them on sunday at benin bye pass. I was coming back to Lagos from villa where i went on friday to bring my car back. I had traveled by flight and came back by flight on 11th. Before tben i drove down to have a car for use and now went back to pick the car as tbe roads should be free. I left villa early and was making good time by my target and by 8.30 i was around mbano coming from Arochukwu i missed my way as i kept driving and missed my wày and did not turn off at tbe appropriate place. I only realized i had missed my tracks when i had passed okigwe and was now heading towards afikpo. Tbe terrain was strange. When i turned i realized i had done 45minutes off track. by the time i got to benin by pass at 11.15am, they had just finished robbing some people. Police and army where still shooting into the bush and i imagined what would have happened if i did not miss a road i have been driving through at least 4 times every year and also passed in December when i first traveled to drop the car. I give God the glory. I sympathize with victims too.

ogene007:
What would be the educational requirement to enlist them, especially for those of them that would want to enter from the officers cadre?
I guess they will only need their primary/secondary school headmaster/principal writing a letter of introduction for them. GEJ will rather get them to enlist in the civil defense corps than going with Buhari's unintelligent proposal, this is why the presidency is not for a cattle rearer. GEJ till 2019.
God bless the womb that carried you. At this rate we will turn to a nation of recommendations. You need no qualifications to join the army. None to join the police, civil service etc. When a cattle rearer leads a nation, we all will be seen and treated like cows. I weep for Nigeria.

What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Buhari joined the army with no qualification. His almajiri brothers can also be made to join with no qualifications. 30 years later they will come out to rule Nigeria and claim to have passed NECO in 1990. Region being backward since 1913.

What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Buhari joined the army with ni qualification so his almajiri brothers can be extended the same privilege afterall a precedent has been set. They will come out 30yrs later to rule Nigeria and claim they passed NECO in 1990. Backward lot since 1913.

This is really shameful.. Imagine the giant of africa under GEJ can't secure it's own territory.
You know nothing about military manouvre or tactical approach in battles so shut da fvck up. Elementary combat skills will let you know the approach adopted. Do you even think Chad will on their own come into another sovereign territory without their consent. Kids that have refused to grow up since ginger bread.

How can you leave 500k lying fallow? Take ur money and buy treasury bills. If you had bought in January, the rate would have been 14% for 182 days. Still try and buy. Shop around different banks. Diamond bank gives very good rates. Even fixed deposit would have given you more money.
By the way @ blank, do you freelance? I might need some help in financial management. I cant disclose this to my Group's subsidiary who are actually fund managers as questions may arise over a number of issues (my practise brings in more than my salary). Although i also had a stint with the bank, i cant claim to be investment savvy and will be glad to tap into your skills and experience.

I have taken the liberty of in-boxing you and do hope to get a response.

My dear, that loose cash was left in place for short to medium term emergencies. I needed and still need to be fairly fluid in liquidity. I am definitely exploring other options especially given the abysmally low returns on money market

My exact thoughts. Why did it take 5 minutes for her to shout out? She probably started shouting when it became obvious she was not gonna be paid or completely. Her friend should also be quizzed

And when I tell people I use First Bank, they say I'm old school. Hah!
I deliberately forgot N500k in a first bank savings account and the money has not moved up by N1 in the past 6 months. Just 3 days ago they charged me N4 for SMS for period of one month. I guess there is no reason why their brand wont be soaring when all they do is keep people's money without paying anything on top. Meanwhile its not like i have made any withdrawals for the period under consideration.

12. President Olusegun Obasanjoto.
13. President Umaru MusaYar'adua to.
14. President Goodluck Jonathan.
OMG!!!!! I just found out something. The
peoples General (Muhammadu Buhari) is the
7th president while GEJ is the 14th
president.Both ar
seeking 2 come back 4 the second time. My
take, If Buhari is the 7th president and the
election is slated for the 14th, it means 14 ÷
7= 2. And GEJ is the14th president and the
election is slated for 14th too.It means 14÷
14=1.Invariably, General MUHAMMADU
BUHARI will be elected
to rule for th 2nd time while GEJ will lose
theelection because he only signed 1single
term with FEBUHARI 14 ÷ 14 =1.
SAIBUHARI!!!!!!!

If i had them kids, they will be tucked away at least in Ghana from Friday preceding the elections till 2 weeks after those elections. Better to be safe than sorry. Now they admit he has no certificate..?
You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. Buhari would have earned my respect and those of others if he came out clean from the onset. Now the deed is already done and beyond his certificate we are now asking what happened to integrity....his mantra?

But can she do that in london or usa...why do we behave like animals in Nigeria. Even if you r ib a hurry...its no excuse to disobey traffic rules.

The woman must be prosecuted for 3 offenses. Reckless driving, insurbodination towards official reprimand and public harrassment og an officer on duty.
We r looking at 15 yrs jail term

On the other hand, the officers need to be called to order, the highest they should have done was to fpllow her to the hospital as she was in a hurry...or note her plate number ...but they instead tried to cause road accident by dragging the wheels with her...now unfortunately, that carries no criminal sentence.
You be police ba? The next beating from the woman na you go collect am.

Sir, i am very apolitical. I have no political leaning. I don't even have a voter's card neither do i know who your prospective leaders are except for Buhari and Goodluck both of whom are managerially bereft and incompetent. I am only interested in Buhari because he is a serial liar giving 3 different versions of where his non existent certificates are. I am much too smart to be hoodwinked by all the stories they have used to brainwash you guys. Let us just leave it there.

This is hog wash. I did my masters in Unilag and struggled not to lose those things i ganered from my first degree. As in i learnt nothing new, not one thing. My colleague in the office is almost done with her MSc and she has not attended lectures more than 3 times. Nigerians keep fooling yourselves.

I know what my Uni did in my life. My colleagues and I are climbing the ladder and in various companies, banks and establishments we have grown to become decision makers. NUC should keep on confusing Nigerians. Soon we will become captain of industries and people will be here repping universities lost in old glory.

Car Talk › Re: Your Top 5 Most Annoying Experiences With Other Road Users by hardbody: 3:35pm On Jan 29, 2015
Rapmoney:
Often times, car owners get frustrated by other road users. Driving on Nigerian roads sha; na wa o!
My top 5 are:

1. Keke riders coming behind you on high speed when you are turning, and your trafficker is clearly on. They end up bruising your car. Out of every 10 cars in Delta State, 6 will have marks of white and blue on their sides (colour of keke in Delta State)and bumpers.

2. Roads normally have speed lane and slow lane. It is very annoying when I see people driving slowly on speed lane. Some will even drive in the middle, blocking every chance to overtake. You have no choice but to hoot and drive behind them; women are mostly guilty of this.

3. When someone drives recklessly in front of you and you try to correct or caution them gently, they scream, shout at you and insult you. So annoying.

4. When someone overtakes you, they look look at you spitefully as they speed past. I wonder why people do this huh

5.When following someone on the road, they suddenly make a turning without notifying the drivers behind by their traffickers.

Post yours let's discuss.
where do i start from? As i type, i am running late for a meeting in d mainland, my driver is struggling, quite a number of other users are behaving as if they have no where to go
