Back to the OP assertion, it is false. I have a lot of people in UK, they are doing okay but are living cheque to cheque. If you are already living well in Nigeria (you have 24/7 in your house, eat what you want and when, you have a car you drive etc) and you ported to UK without a good paying white collar job your standard of living will fall drastically.

I don’t even have to elaborate too much. Can the person in UK resign and do without a job for 3 years on £5,000, just home chilling? Never. But someone with N30 million in Nigeria can do that comfortably and be grower fatter by the day sef

I believe this story because UK is currently the proverbial between a rock and a hard place. It will test the love of a new couples, cause finance in UK especially if you don’t have a high paying blue collar job is very difficult.
