Should we talk about inflation? You go Market today buy sth 100 naira tomorrow it’s 800 naira. Your friend is right. I have lived in Italy and currently live in the UK I will still choose abroad 100x over 9ja.
So my point is why would you leave a country you can comfortably save $10,000 CAD (most people even save this to Japa) to a foreign country you work like a dog and can’t save same amount in 7 years! (When you are not living under a biblical curse: that you would work and not bring in anything into your store).

Oga this is not economics class. Wetin concern inflation in Nigeria with someone that has N30 million. You would always be able to comfortably afford food no matter what, any situation that will arise and make someone with N30 million not to afford food means 90% of Nigerians are dead naa lol

Lol talking about inflation. You are aware Bank of England maintained interest rate at about 4% and inflation is currently high? How I take know, I live in Nigeria lol. Baba the cries of my plenty friends and families there has reached me here in Nigeria.

Never compare inflation in UK to Nigeria, inflation in UK na die! Naija at all at all you go see food chop, UK who go feed you? Dey play grin

If your country is a working country it won’t be enough.
Lol baba don change goal post.

Anyways don’t be deceived with N30 million your quality of life in Nigeria would be x10 better vs £5,000 in UK, take it from someone that knows exactly what he is talking about.

Let me even shock you, at a point I had a conversation with a friend in Canada (I like to weigh quality of life in other countries). This guy has been there for about 2 years and we can argue he has a little knowledge of the system right?

He said most people that have lived in Canada for 4-7 years, don’t have $10,000 CAD in savings. Imagine my shock and disbelief, cause the naira equivalent can be realistically achieved in Nigeria in 3/4 years with a decent corporate or even a small business. I didn’t take his word for it, I had to quickly confirm from another friend that recently japa-ed to Canada. Baba is so so and so true? Yes! (He said the yes so fast, he didn’t need to think about it).

crossbreedwears:
You all leep talkong about insecurity. I will rather have 30m in my account and start up a business than running to abroad to work as a slave
Take this man seriously, he knows what’s up. This is the exact phase a friend recently used to describe life in UK. He was hurriedly making arrangements to return to Nigeria as we speak lol

Just for clarity, my friend’s life situation is different. He was living well when he was in Nigeria. Very well. Like i stated earlier if you are living well, and you port to UK without a decent corporate job. Your quality of life would fall so low ehn. You would think you fell from a 10 storey building.

But if you were living in Ajegunle with your entire family of 7 in one room. No a/c, garri was your staple food, sapa was a house mate that is when UK would be appealing to you. If not body go tell you, you won’t know when you pack your bags and run.

💯, 30m in 9ja still you won’t have peace of mind because of insecurity
You talk like people don’t get knifed everyday in the streets on UK, or someone is not getting gunned down everyday on the US streets undecided

Uber drivers are getting robbed and killed in the aforementioned countries every single day.

Back to the OP assertion, it is false. I have a lot of people in UK, they are doing okay but are living cheque to cheque. If you are already living well in Nigeria (you have 24/7 in your house, eat what you want and when, you have a car you drive etc) and you ported to UK without a good paying white collar job your standard of living will fall drastically.

I don’t even have to elaborate too much. Can the person in UK resign and do without a job for 3 years on £5,000, just home chilling? Never. But someone with N30 million in Nigeria can do that comfortably and be grower fatter by the day sef grin

I am a man. I admit that the men you refer to are irrational, arrogant and stupid.

But your write up doesn't portray you as someone better than those men. In all you wrote, you didn't mention any mistakes you have made in your relationships with men. Are you indirectly saying you are perfect? Is there nothing you have done and won't encourage your fellow women to do?

Maybe you are married. Maybe you are single by choice. What about your fellow women who have crossed the age of 30 and are still single because they mistakenly or stupidly rejected good men? How does your post address their situations? Does your post try to save younger females from making those mistakes? Or, are you claiming that no single lady regrets being single? Are you saying that marriage is not necessary for any above-thirty-and-single lady? Even if marriage is not for everyone, is being single good for everyone?

No gender is better than the other. Every gender has good and bad people. In your case, I think you are just a female version of the men you condemn. Your writeup does not teach women how to be good. Your writeup only encourages women to be comfortable with growing old without marriage.
I no wan talk before.

I guess the intent of her write-up was to elevate herself but it just fall flat. I actually felt pity for her.

Whether we want to admit it or not, no lady wants to be unmarried at 30 by choice except she is a nun.

Being unmarried at such an advanced age, points to a something very hard to admit to oneself; No man wants you enough to get married to you it would be a hard pill to swallow myself if i were a lady.

Haven said that biko let’s ease off on the whole gender thing abeg and show yourselves a little kindness.

How come this same "freedom of association" philosophy doesn't apply to igbos?

Instead you guys have branded them as terrorists just because they want to express their right to freedom of association.
Have you ever heard the phrase “people don’t think about you as much as you think” - it is a scientific fact. People are obsessed with their own personal problem to the extent they think of others as much eg you thinkI don’t like you while the thoughts of you hardly crosses my mind.

Tinubu is the President of a whole Nigeria, he has many problems to solve. You think he has space in his mind to carry hatred of igbo people, you’d be greatly mistaken.

Recently i had a friend that went to UK through student route, baba was very eager to come back to Nigeria. So baba had to give me the full gist of the situation because he knew i would try to dissuade him.

I believe this story because UK is currently the proverbial between a rock and a hard place. It will test the love of a new couples, cause finance in UK especially if you don’t have a high paying blue collar job is very difficult.

Most of the these Nigerian women leaving their husbands is majorly cause of finance, either they are earning more and don’t want to keep carrying the financial burden or the divorce provides more financial incentive- ie richer new partner/income from divorce minus some other financial burden.

To forget is not biblical. The bible says forgive and forgiveness is encouraged but not mandated. Don't get things mixed up. A sin u will not comit u are not under any obligation to forgive.
You would be a fool to forget. Fools get stripes on their backs for their folly.

Even Jesus never forgot the kinda people he was dealing with

John 2:24 states, "Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, many believed in his name when they saw the signs that he was doing. But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people.

Never forget. Those that treated you disdain when you had nothing to offer them. When you have everything they want, you would be a fool to trust them and admit them into your inner circle. It can cost you your life.

PropertiesRe: Why Building Houses For Tenants In Nigeria No Longer Makes Sense by Harddiskng(m): 7:21pm On Jun 20, 2025
CoronaVirusPro:
The most unprofitable business is building a house for profit.

Why spend 300m on a house you will have to wait for years to get to profit while maintenance keeps going on.

At 15 years, the house itself is already depreciating and only the land it sits on is appreciating, that’s even when you build in the right location.

Just sit that 300m in a money market account and start reaping profit instantly.

I don’t know who sold false narratives to people that building a house for rent purposes is profitable.
I don’t know what you people are talking about.

In my end of Lagos, developers are cashing.

My current apartment building, the developer used less than 200 million to build it about 3 years ago.

Every the developer is projected rake in N34,500,000 (yes you heard right, it is the number of apartments at the current rentage per year). The developer would make all his money back in less than 5 years and continue cashing out into the future forever.

The maintenance there is an yearly maintenance charge, all apartments that is even more than enough. To be repainting the entire house every year if thats what we want lol

Yes money market at 20% is alot but it wont give you an asset that is paying as much as it in rentage (remember inflating is increasing rent). While the asset itself increasing in value.

All the career developers are know, are heavy weight howbeit local they may seem. Whenever they show up all the “indigenes” of the area pay them mad respect. What sort of cashflow do think you need to be building at least two apartment buildings in a year. Omo! Even i respect them.

I see many people condemning this man, but failed to understand some situations in this scenario.

Let's see from these points of view:

*The car was unregistered, 'probably' a new ride.

*A content creator started filming him, mentioning his name, which could have probably triggered his sense of safety in the current state of the country's insecurity.

*It is highly likely he did not know who the content creator is, so that might be a threat to his safety and a breach to his privacy and security.

*Why was the content creator filming him without his permission?

*What if he had thought the so-called content creator was a spy in disguise for car snatchers and trackers?

Now, when did self-defense become a crime in Nigeria?
If the so-called content creator had turned out to be an armed robber on the look out, which suddenly sprays him bullets and made away with the car, will the people be saying this same things?

Let's be guided please.
Some situations require vigilance.
I can bet my ass he had that car for more than 6 months. It was new, he was intentionally hiding the plate number. I may be wring about this but i trust my gut. That should be his offense number 1.

Which dirty sense of safety. There was no reason for him to stop his car, talk less of wind down. When he did, instinctively the content make must have thought “Boss wan drop roger for hin boy”. Instead the insecure man pulled out a freaking gun undecided

Look at the video, I have a feeling the police escorts cars that passed before him were even his. So who wan snatch in car in such a setting.

Young man, let call a spade a spade. It is very obvious there are more sinister things to that man that meet the eye.

For these that go to his church to hear queen’s English - 1 Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God is in speech but of power

its no entitlement, will u actually watch ur little onces struggle while u r in the better position to help?? the senior brother was supposed to see marriage as the least thing to do while having so much responsibilities to do, its not an entitlemnt, its his responsibility as the senior, a blood for that matter. saying its an entitlmrn sounds wicked and harsh
You are being entitled. If he/she refuses to help you, you too go and hustle for yourself.

None of your brothers/sisters asked your parents to give birth to you. It is none of them responsibility to take care of you, that is your parents’ responsibility.

So an elder brother shouldn’t marry because he is to take care of you, that is the most selfish thing i have heard. The children without parents hustling on the streets for themselves have two heads? undecided So wetin do you that it is your senior sibling will provide for you while you live your best life. Smh. 2. It isn't! That is one of the big reasons why you would really read similar tales of Harvard, like the one you told earlier of your private Nigerian University. A school is not a fix for motivational problems in the life of a teenager or adult. undecided

3. Where do you get this claim that more than 95% of Harvard graduates have good careers, though? Or are you insinuating that your Nigerian private University has a more than 95% graduate success rate? 🙄🙄🙄

4. Whatever helped your coursemate overcome his lack of motivation was not the school or Nigeria. There must have been something else in it. Something tells me it may be related to his relationship with his father, since he attributes the success to his father in some way. undecided
I won’t answer any further question about my alma mater. Just dey play.

Mscheww. someone that hated and still despises his father.

Let me tell you the reason he found his motivation, he was lucky enough to be surrounded by brilliant lads. I just don’t want to mention the course, most of us were best graduating students from our secondary schools including yours truly.

When you are surrounded by people who wake up to attend class, you see people reading for test and exam. Subconsciously FOMO sets in, you ask what they are reading for. They tell XFC 213 is going be tested tomorrow, you sef you go join read. You see people doing assignments you sef join follow, you see people doing group work you sef join follow. Like that like that, that was what really helped him. Same as when we graduated and were job hunting.

➜ Did all the other students who attended the same private Christian University in Nigeria also turn out just as good or even better than this boy, whose story you want us to swallow?
➜ Did everyone who had the same or similar experience as this boy back in that Nigerian University come out proclaiming that the experience was the best for them?
You would be given facts, Your own is to come up with “mumu assumptions” to support your faulty thinking.

Even in Harvard, is it every graduate that gets a job or “makes it in life”. But i can tell you categorically a university that more than 95% of its graduates have good careers and are thriving, is indeed an amazing University.

I don’t want you to swallow any story. I was his course mate.
