nony43:So my point is why would you leave a country you can comfortably save $10,000 CAD (most people even save this to Japa) to a foreign country you work like a dog and can’t save same amount in 7 years! (When you are not living under a biblical curse: that you would work and not bring in anything into your store). Oga this is not economics class. Wetin concern inflation in Nigeria with someone that has N30 million. You would always be able to comfortably afford food no matter what, any situation that will arise and make someone with N30 million not to afford food means 90% of Nigerians are dead naa lol Lol talking about inflation. You are aware Bank of England maintained interest rate at about 4% and inflation is currently high? How I take know, I live in Nigeria lol. Baba the cries of my plenty friends and families there has reached me here in Nigeria. Never compare inflation in UK to Nigeria, inflation in UK na die! Naija at all at all you go see food chop, UK who go feed you? Dey play ![]() |
nony43:Lol baba don change goal post. Anyways don’t be deceived with N30 million your quality of life in Nigeria would be x10 better vs £5,000 in UK, take it from someone that knows exactly what he is talking about. Let me even shock you, at a point I had a conversation with a friend in Canada (I like to weigh quality of life in other countries). This guy has been there for about 2 years and we can argue he has a little knowledge of the system right? He said most people that have lived in Canada for 4-7 years, don’t have $10,000 CAD in savings. Imagine my shock and disbelief, cause the naira equivalent can be realistically achieved in Nigeria in 3/4 years with a decent corporate or even a small business. I didn’t take his word for it, I had to quickly confirm from another friend that recently japa-ed to Canada. Baba is so so and so true? Yes! (He said the yes so fast, he didn’t need to think about it). crossbreedwears:Take this man seriously, he knows what’s up. This is the exact phase a friend recently used to describe life in UK. He was hurriedly making arrangements to return to Nigeria as we speak lol Just for clarity, my friend’s life situation is different. He was living well when he was in Nigeria. Very well. Like i stated earlier if you are living well, and you port to UK without a decent corporate job. Your quality of life would fall so low ehn. You would think you fell from a 10 storey building. But if you were living in Ajegunle with your entire family of 7 in one room. No a/c, garri was your staple food, sapa was a house mate that is when UK would be appealing to you. If not body go tell you, you won’t know when you pack your bags and run. |
nony43:You talk like people don’t get knifed everyday in the streets on UK, or someone is not getting gunned down everyday on the US streets ![]() Uber drivers are getting robbed and killed in the aforementioned countries every single day. Back to the OP assertion, it is false. I have a lot of people in UK, they are doing okay but are living cheque to cheque. If you are already living well in Nigeria (you have 24/7 in your house, eat what you want and when, you have a car you drive etc) and you ported to UK without a good paying white collar job your standard of living will fall drastically. I don’t even have to elaborate too much. Can the person in UK resign and do without a job for 3 years on £5,000, just home chilling? Never. But someone with N30 million in Nigeria can do that comfortably and be grower fatter by the day sef ![]() |
immortalcrown:I no wan talk before. I guess the intent of her write-up was to elevate herself but it just fall flat. I actually felt pity for her. Whether we want to admit it or not, no lady wants to be unmarried at 30 by choice except she is a nun. Being unmarried at such an advanced age, points to a something very hard to admit to oneself; No man wants you enough to get married to you it would be a hard pill to swallow myself if i were a lady. Haven said that biko let’s ease off on the whole gender thing abeg and show yourselves a little kindness. |
Dbegining:Have you ever heard the phrase “people don’t think about you as much as you think” - it is a scientific fact. People are obsessed with their own personal problem to the extent they think of others as much eg you thinkI don’t like you while the thoughts of you hardly crosses my mind. Tinubu is the President of a whole Nigeria, he has many problems to solve. You think he has space in his mind to carry hatred of igbo people, you’d be greatly mistaken. |
AMINDA:Why naa. There is freedom of association. If they didn’t want to belong, was he supposed to tie them. This man is doing alot, let’s treat our President with kindness |
meobizy:Recently i had a friend that went to UK through student route, baba was very eager to come back to Nigeria. So baba had to give me the full gist of the situation because he knew i would try to dissuade him. I believe this story because UK is currently the proverbial between a rock and a hard place. It will test the love of a new couples, cause finance in UK especially if you don’t have a high paying blue collar job is very difficult. Most of the these Nigerian women leaving their husbands is majorly cause of finance, either they are earning more and don’t want to keep carrying the financial burden or the divorce provides more financial incentive- ie richer new partner/income from divorce minus some other financial burden. If she never loved you lol. Carry your wife go UK, when una start madt budgeting, na there you go know ![]() |
Imindmybusiness:Only a fool would make such plans with her lol. Over 20 million to relocate an already married woman? No mentally balanced Nigerian man can do such. Baba no need bother himself lol |
omoredia:You would be a fool to forget. Fools get stripes on their backs for their folly. Even Jesus never forgot the kinda people he was dealing with John 2:24 states, "Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, many believed in his name when they saw the signs that he was doing. But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people. Never forget. Those that treated you disdain when you had nothing to offer them. When you have everything they want, you would be a fool to trust them and admit them into your inner circle. It can cost you your life. |
Starhearts:Read what you wrote, you too can see why people like to mind their business in Nigeria. If na you now, notice say your neighbor na to keep shut. Cuz as the new breaker we for don follow your advise arrest you ![]() |
Coooloooo:You never had a girlfriend, you were catering for an orphan. Your finance shouldn’t have anything to do with your love life except she is in for the money, if she is there is no difference between her and a prostitute you pay |
These terrorists have phones, they ride motorcycles oo But farmers shouldn’t use any modern equipments lol |
Righteousness2:You know average Jew in 2025 do not believe that Jesus of Nazareth was the Messiah or Prophet nor do they believe he was the Son of God. They would very likely hit you if you tell ‘em that |
tobby98:Are you minding him. He would have done that if it was a good deal naa, even borrowed if he didn’t have the money. |
SINisSIN:When a woman does something don’t think she is just stupid, she know exactly what she is doing. So treat her accordingly |
I am thinking one day we will be shocked to about the revelation of the truth that the real landing cost of fuel may be around N150 ![]() It won’t surprise me. Even a product you are selling in a small neighborhood with that much profit and in high demand would make you a millionaire talk less of selling to the whole nigeria |
CoronaVirusPro:I don’t know what you people are talking about. In my end of Lagos, developers are cashing. My current apartment building, the developer used less than 200 million to build it about 3 years ago. Every the developer is projected rake in N34,500,000 (yes you heard right, it is the number of apartments at the current rentage per year). The developer would make all his money back in less than 5 years and continue cashing out into the future forever. The maintenance there is an yearly maintenance charge, all apartments that is even more than enough. To be repainting the entire house every year if thats what we want lol Yes money market at 20% is alot but it wont give you an asset that is paying as much as it in rentage (remember inflating is increasing rent). While the asset itself increasing in value. All the career developers are know, are heavy weight howbeit local they may seem. Whenever they show up all the “indigenes” of the area pay them mad respect. What sort of cashflow do think you need to be building at least two apartment buildings in a year. Omo! Even i respect them. |
Men need to wake up. Why would you attach your card to the food app of a woman you are not married to, so she can have all she can eat on your account when you sre not her father and she is not providing equivalent value |
Ttipsy:Can you hear yourself “rich sublings” because you made them rich yourself faa. I hope they cut you off, you sound like a leech. Go and work for your own money |
Ttipsy:Nobody has the “responsibility” to help you. You are very selfish and self centered. Go and work for yourself |
Kayberg:I can bet my ass he had that car for more than 6 months. It was new, he was intentionally hiding the plate number. I may be wring about this but i trust my gut. That should be his offense number 1. Which dirty sense of safety. There was no reason for him to stop his car, talk less of wind down. When he did, instinctively the content make must have thought “Boss wan drop roger for hin boy”. Instead the insecure man pulled out a freaking gun ![]() Look at the video, I have a feeling the police escorts cars that passed before him were even his. So who wan snatch in car in such a setting. Young man, let call a spade a spade. It is very obvious there are more sinister things to that man that meet the eye. For these that go to his church to hear queen’s English - 1 Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God is in speech but of power |
Ttipsy:You are being entitled. If he/she refuses to help you, you too go and hustle for yourself. None of your brothers/sisters asked your parents to give birth to you. It is none of them responsibility to take care of you, that is your parents’ responsibility. So an elder brother shouldn’t marry because he is to take care of you, that is the most selfish thing i have heard. The children without parents hustling on the streets for themselves have two heads? So wetin do you that it is your senior sibling will provide for you while you live your best life. Smh. You never ready.Even Jesus said it is entitlement mentality and you are very wicked, to think anyone apart from your parents should stall their progress in life to carter for you. |
Kobojunkie:Again he goes off with "assumptions" after being given facts. I bet it can't work for you. Even if you are surrounded with geniuses from Einstein to Edison i doubt it would make any impact on your life with your kind of thought pattern or influence you to achieve success in life. So i would make i bet with you. You need 3 months of time and dedication. If you agree to it and your life doesn't change trust me nothing can help. If you agree to 3 months of full dedication and participation i would tell you what i have in mind. |
Kobojunkie:I won’t answer any further question about my alma mater. Just dey play. Mscheww. someone that hated and still despises his father. Let me tell you the reason he found his motivation, he was lucky enough to be surrounded by brilliant lads. I just don’t want to mention the course, most of us were best graduating students from our secondary schools including yours truly. When you are surrounded by people who wake up to attend class, you see people reading for test and exam. Subconsciously FOMO sets in, you ask what they are reading for. They tell XFC 213 is going be tested tomorrow, you sef you go join read. You see people doing assignments you sef join follow, you see people doing group work you sef join follow. Like that like that, that was what really helped him. Same as when we graduated and were job hunting. |
Kobojunkie:You would be given facts, Your own is to come up with “mumu assumptions” to support your faulty thinking. Even in Harvard, is it every graduate that gets a job or “makes it in life”. But i can tell you categorically a university that more than 95% of its graduates have good careers and are thriving, is indeed an amazing University. I don’t want you to swallow any story. I was his course mate. |
Zonefree:Did you miss the part that said they have a bank agent (staff) working with them. Getting money out of an account they believe the owner is dead nothing mega naa. If i were to guess the designation of the staff in question, it would most probably be the BDM of that branch but he did say he meet with the branch manager. If it is either the branch manager wanted to be get ahead of it by involving CID or he could be innocent. The bank better investigate that branch thoroughly, inflows into dormant accounts. . |
Kobojunkie:What is this one saying. I had a university mate, that born and brought up in england. So utterly useless and lacked any motivation to succeed whatsoever. Till his father made the call that he was going back to Nigeria to attend University. You need to see what 4 years of attending private Christian in Nigeria did to this young man’s destiny. I assure you that he hated every moment of the 4 years, he experienced malaria, he knew firsthand the spiritual principality called “sapa” but years after he says it, it was the best decision his father ever made for him. After rolling with Naija boys, the young man is now adequate motivated, with a dazzling professional career in the UK |
tunapawizzy:What is this one chatting. That man even in death is dictating his dos and don’ts. In death he is still a man, and hin full ground ![]() I see it from the perspective that rightfully everything the man owns and his transferring to his wife should belong to the child they had. If she remarries all these asset would disappear. Hence his clause for her not to remarry or she loses them. Cuz in such an even the child would hardly ever be able to lay claim to these assets. Wise man if you ask me |

It’s not even an entitlement, it’s your obligation.
