Symphony007: All nigerians should shut up and enjoy the fresh air...your government is building locomotives for you and you're not gratefull. I urge you to take the twice a week lagos to kano train, your kids will be adults before you reach your destination.

PoliticsRe: Minister, Aregbesola Disagree Over FG’s Fertiliser Policy by hardknockbroda(m): 10:31pm On Sep 05, 2013
Wow.. This is the best thread I av been to in months in d politics section, very interactive

@Topic.. I think the FG should hands off fertilizer distribution completely. I mean let's face it, a lot of REAL farmers don't get d subsidized fertilizer

What the FG should do in collaboration wit d states nd LGs is to provide land, reduce or remove import duties on Farm equipments, Build lots of storage facilities,Link d farms wit good roads and possibly rail and most importantly, create a ready market by buying at least 50% of the produce from dese farmers (small scale farmers o!) At an agreed price

The Government should forget about how and where the farmers get their fertilizers from.

Music BusinessRe: How Do I Make Music Like Spellz, Sarz, legendury Beatz, Don Jazzy Etc? by hardknockbroda(m): 10:02am On Aug 22, 2013
First.. need to be sure u have the talent, u must have a creative mind (u should be able to create sounds in ur head),u must be a lover of all genres of music (Fuji, hiphop, rock, reggae, highlife, apala e.t.c) and u must knw a thing or two about every genre of music.

Once u are sure u have d talent, then u should enrol in a music school where they teach music production and sound engineering or u can work in a studio as an apprentice. You should also learn to play at least one musical instrument (preferably the piano).

Invest in your Talent..Surf d net for articles on music production, read books on music production, music business nd so on, attend music seminars, connect with bigger producers and understudy them. This also helps a lot.

Lastly and most importantly, Be very hardworking, focused, humble and put God first always...who knows, u might even be bigger than all d producers u mentioned

Goodluck.

Yorubest: You need some schooling

There is what we call the 5 C's of Lending and the Biggest C is Capacity

If I make $1m each day and I'm indebted to the tune of $100m, am I not in a better position to pay back than you who makes $1,000 each day and indebted to the tune of $10m?

I think your post should be matched with their IGRs and other revenues. Only then will I, and every sane person, take you serious
Well said
PoliticsRe: What Is Going On With The Lagos Light Rail Project by hardknockbroda(m): 11:43pm On Aug 09, 2013
The project is very much on course. 4 world class train stations have been built, 3 completed (Orile,Alaba suru and Mile 2 stations), The one at National theater (very massive station) is almost complete and d rail tracks have been laid from orile to mile 2.

Dose guys work everyday, even today they were on site.

@OP if u live in lagos, take a trip from national theater to orile then to mile 2 and see things for urself

The Governor came to inspect d project like a week ago

PoliticsRe: Five Years After, BRT Degenerates Into Molue by hardknockbroda(m): 2:10pm On Jul 08, 2013
anonimi: What % is the most that "should go to the NURTW"-60, 75, 90 huh
And what balance % should go to LASG administration of do-no-wrong Eko o ni baje Fashola, SAN?
Where do you think the buck stops as far as Lagos state is concerned?
When it comes to maintenance and setting standards, the NURTW are rated very poor, just visit major motor parks in lagos and see for urself.

Even the FGs brand new pallative buses (also maintained. By NURTW & RTEAN) that were launched just over a year ago, most of them are even in worse conditions than the BRT buses.

The LASG should force the NURTW to maintain these buses and sanction them if they don't (hopefully it won't lead to a strike)

You will agree with me that the Red buses managed by LAGBUS are in better condition than the BRT buses.
PoliticsRe: Who Will Tell Channels TV??? by hardknockbroda(m): 1:38pm On Jul 08, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: I wonder what will be termed an achievement by hateful and cynical minds. Everything being done now is not an achievement in the eyes of people who hate to see the face of GEJ. Roads that were deplorable are being reconstructed, it is not an achievement. Cassava bread initiative meant to empower farmers, its not an achievement. Trains that were DEAD before are being restored, it is not an achievement. Airports that were like poultry farms are being rebuilt, it is not an achievement. We've seen far better elections since 2011, it is not an achievement. Power sector reforms (privatisation and all that), it is celebration of mediocrity. Creation of new federal universities, it is mediocrity. SURE-P and YOUWIN, it is not an achievement. And so on and so forth.

I wonder what will be achievement or PROGRESS for hateful minds. Maybe the head of GEJ on a platter.

When the president was seeking election in 2011, all the sectors, including those mentioned above, were PROBLEMATIC. He was elected to solve those problems and he's doing just that, bit by bit.
With a budget of over 4 trillion Naira yearly for the past 5 years all u can point out as achievements are some road constructions, revival of locomotive trains, cassava bread grin , Sure P and YouWin, then all I can say is GOODLUCK to u bro!!

Yet we wonder why other countries like Ghana,Angola, south Africa and Bostwana are doing better than Nigeria

Yet we wonder why the country is so richly blessed and the pple are so poor and hungry

Seriously Nigerians deserve so much more than what we are getting from our leaders currently but because "our brother" is in power, everything he does is right and anyone who has a contrary view is Hateful and cynical..

God help us!
PoliticsRe: Five Years After, BRT Degenerates Into Molue by hardknockbroda(m): 12:16pm On Jul 08, 2013
We need to improve on our maintenance culture as Nigerians, the "I don't care" atitude must stop if we really want to move forward as a nation.
PoliticsRe: Five Years After, BRT Degenerates Into Molue by hardknockbroda(m): 11:35am On Jul 08, 2013
I think most of the blame should go to the NURTW.

The LASG thru LAMATA is just a regulator I.e they provide they provide and maintain d bus routes, bus terminals, bus sheds e.t.c while d operators (in this case NURTW) provide the buses and are responsible for maintaining dem tho the Lagos state government should find a way to enforce them but then again must we always be forced to do the right thing..

NB: Most of the buses managed by LAGBUS Asset management company (Red buses) are better maintained and are in better working condition than the BRT (Blue buses) managed by NURTW.
PoliticsRe: Who Will Tell Channels TV??? by hardknockbroda(m): 8:56am On Jul 08, 2013
Its rily sad how low our standards have become..

How can this train service be considered an achievement in 2013

A serious government won't be proud to show dis off as an achievement.

PoliticsRe: The State Of The Roads In Festac Town (pictures) by hardknockbroda(m): 10:59am On Jun 25, 2013
The minister expressed concern over the collapse of the central sewage system in the estate and the total takeover by squatters of the buffer zone meant to shield the estate from the busy Lagos-Badagry Expressway.

That buffer zone is gradually fading away cos of the encroachment of mechanic workshops, car dealers and churches on one side and the road expansion goin on at d other side. If the buffer zone is gone, it could pose a serious security threat to festac town.
PoliticsRe: The State Of The Roads In Festac Town (pictures) by hardknockbroda(m): 5:15pm On Jun 24, 2013
Festac town belongs to the Federal government,a property of the Federal Housing Authority (F.H.A)

These roads were built over 35 yrs ago (1977) and were not maintained at all until recently when the LG and Lagos public works fixed some parts which had little or no effect cos as one pot hole is being fixed five more are opening up beside it.

The LG can't fix all d roads in FESTAC (over 100 roads) and festac is not the only area under AMUWO ODOFIN Lg. Other areas need attention also

What needs to be done is a total rehabilitation or if possible reconstruction of all these "expired" roads and to achieve this, there should be a kind of collaboration btw the F.H.A and the state govt.

I think it will be best if the F.H.A just handed over the estate to Lagos state.

FSU: They are Yoruba, regardless of party.

Your man has been there for more than 2 years. What has he done?
Ajimobi's performance in 2 years is far better than dat of Akala and Ladoja combined (8 years).. There are a lot of public schools in Ibadan talk less of those in other towns across the state.. Quite a number of classroom blocks are being renovated at d moment, whenever I have d chance I will get some pictures of dese classrooms..

Ekoile focus on ur adopted lagos state..

.why is lekki epe expressway still under construction more dan 7yrs after it was flagged off??...
why is there no general hospital in eti-osa??
why is there modern standard public school in eti-osa??
why is it taking forever to construct d ago palace-okota_ikotun road??
Why is lasu fees high while the sch is in a sorry state??

Why are us so bitter and envious of other states?
Pls get ur facts right b4 coming to a forum like dis to post trash

LASU is currently d best STATE university and 11th best of all universities in the country

As for the Ago-Okota road, some property owners along dat road dragged d LASG to court and got an injuction stopping d government from demolishing their properties for d expansion of d road so work had to be stopped bt d case has been settled and work has resumed on d road..

Infact, when a shop owner dies in d market in my area d whole market is shut for a day.

PoliticsRe: Which State Is The Most Accomodating In Nigeria by hardknockbroda(m): 4:54pm On Jun 03, 2013
Ikengawo: Lagos can hardly be called accomodating because the locals try to sense out people that aren't from there and scam them. Prices on everything increase once they know you're not lagosian.
This happens everywhere.. Nt only in lagos
