Is statistics and data science more superior to data science alone?

Data Science is really computational statistics ( Statistics + Computer Programming + Domain Knowledge) behind the scene. If your question is in reference to the two programs offered by LMU, then I can say that their statistics & data science program is better (for me) than their elite data science program. Perhaps, I might be biased since I have a major in Stats. So please feel free to compare the two programs at LMU; specifically, spend time with the curriculum of both programs and then decide which one you prefer.

No, I'm not at FAU yet if I'm there already I won't be here talking about starting my application this summer. Although I'm currently working in same field here in Nigeria.

About the school, for now, I can say that FAU is one of the best schools in Germany for AI program currently (I've perused their curriculum as well and I'm quite impressed). More so, a prof I know who lectures at LMU also recommended I add the school to my list of prospective schools.

NB: There are schools that offer Data Science program in Germany but aren't listed in Daad.de. For example LMU has a Statistics & Data Science program ( which in my opinion is the best Data Science program at LMU) however, this same program isn't listed on Daad. Instead, they have their Elite Data Science program on Daad website. So by all means, you shouldn't be tired to use other websites to search for more schools.

I can recommend the following schools LMU, TUM, FAU, Saarland University, and University of Tübingen.

DYOR! More so, check each school's program curriculum to ensure it's up to date with the current trend in the industry at the moment. Some school's Data Science program are just shaft tbh... so do your due diligence.)

From my calculation so far, it takes category B people 1 year + 3 to 4 months now. So just add 1 year + 4 months to sort of gauge when you'll most likely get your AD. So if you applied on February 2022, you should expect AD from June 2023 ( with everything being constant 'cos you can't be too sure these days )

If you're also going for your master's program in Artificial Intelligence at FAU, you don't need Uni-assist. I can't speak for other programs aside mine though.

However, if you're going for other program at FAU, I encourage you to take your time and look at the application instruction page of the course you're interested in. I suppose it did. I'm applying for the summer semester though not winter. So Application for summer semester at FAU starts in December and end in January 15th.

The wait time is 1 year 3 months. So if you applied March 29th 2022, you should expect your mail from the embassy around June 2023

Im seeing this thread now.. I must say that i Enjoyed that debate so far! Im an aspirant tho ( in statistics) planing to have certificate in both stats and I.t i also need advice from y'all.

Why i choose to go for statistics is that i want to be versatile and an enterprenuer cos i also love anything bout I.T ... Tho i resolved that it is better for me to do stats and get a bsc in it cos i can actually learn I.T related course outside uni but i want to be versatile in both fields. Pls i need advice.

Someone just shared this post which I made around 2014 or thereabout hence the reason I found my way back here. It's actually nice to have a feel of what I used to sound like a couple of years back. I did eventually graduated with a major in Statistics. I also got into tech briefly after my graduation. I'm working as a Machine Learning Engineer.

What we do know is the VW belonged to Fatima and Kristi was from the Grand Rapids and there's honestly no explanation about whether these are new folks or just the same people transported back in time and arriving at the godforsaken place.

Hello everyone, I'm trying to appply to study medicine in germany, i'm currently a 200lvl student in a public school in Nigeria studying Human Anatomy, but the on going strike is frustrating my efforts, I've watched a lot of youtube vidoes concerning the application process into german universites and i've also gone on www.daad.de but i'm still really confused about the process, please i need a lot of help going through with the process.

I believe medicine is one of the courses in Germany that requires high proficiency in understanding and speaking Deutsch. You can take this time to enroll for a German language class while you keep making your plan B moves.

When did you apply last year? I applied in January this year. With this issue of waiting for a year now, is it still advisable for one to start applying for admission now?

I currently have my B1 Goethe certificate and they even evaluated my WAEC.

Please where did you do your German Classes? Someone recently told me Goethe Institute has moved from Yaba to Lagos Island. He even mentioned they now do only virtual classes (I don't really like virtual language class) so I'd like to know if this is true.

Try sterling Bank. Go there with your admission letter, bsc certificate and photocopy of passport data page. Explain to them you are applying for a form A transaction for your study.

I'm interested in using form A to fund my BA. I was thinking of opening a Euro account with Access Bank soon. Is it still possible to use Access or Should I just open an account with Sterling Bank?

Also, for the form A, do I need to have my money in Naira or do you advise converting and saving in Euro?

Life comes at you so fast. It's quite amusing to get a glimpse of what I once sounded like 6 years ago. For those asking, I didn't pursue a degree in Computer Science as suggested. I studied Statistics. Now working as a Machine Learning Engineer.

Terrible second season, I actually rated the first season a 9 out of 10 last year.

Clearly the writers ran out of ideas Everything is disjointed, from the first to the last episode.. Wack plot, the Wilford character is just meh...

I have to disagree with your take on this. I enjoyed the second season just as much as the 1st season.
