cconcept: Some not so good news here for prospective applicants for skilled migrant category.
Two changes to the Skilled Migrant Category have been announced:
1.The points threshold for automatic selection has been increased from 140 to 160 from 12 October 2016 (regardless of whether an applicant has a job offer) 2.The way applicants show evidence that they meet the minimum standard of English language is changing Accepted English Language Tests Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet Based Test (TOEFL iBT) Occupational English Test (OET) Cambridge English: First (FCE) and FCE for Schools Pearson Test of English: Academic (PTE: Academic)
LINK Hmmm!quite sad. They may have seen upsurge in EOIs that's why they decided to scale up the automatic selection threshold by 20 points. To achieve that point will be a daunting task.Of course, the change in proof of English ability will further complicate things. The cost to sit for any of this test might be astronomically high even many of us are not familiar with this pattern of tests. All the same, people will always overcome all of these strigent requirements.Noting spoil |

Atk1nson: thanks bro, it is in-demand.Very good Do you think one should get a job offer before he makes an EOI or the other way around? sorry about my plenty questions No you must not have offer of employement before submitting EOI application. You get automatic ITA if you can mop-up 140 points in total from the information you filled in the online EOI.however,if you unable to hit the cumulative score i.e 140 factors like getting an offer of work will suffice.Bear in mind that the offer must be from any province except Auckland. The game trick is that most jobs are in Auckland. You are given 30 points for offer outside Auck city.I think their primary aim is to decongest the city and develop other cities. |

Atk1nson: All the best bro. My undergraduate degree is chemistry but my experience is financial consulting, do you think points will be awarded for my qualification? Thanks. You know what? The authorities do not segregate on qualification evaluation provided you pay the assessment cost therefore they will surely assess your qualification when you enrol for it but the big issue is in your area of expertise.I hope you have checked very well to confirm financial consulting is in-demand job catergory.
N/B:Jobs that are in demand earn bonus points |

My cert is B. Tech & ACA The exact points can only be ascertain when you do the PAR evaluation. They do not evaluate the ACA qualification while most B.Eng outcomes are level 7 qualifications so for B.Tech I don't know what level of qualification it belongs.Thank you |

duchesstyo: Hello all and very well done. I applied for study visa about 2 years ago which wasn't granted. However, I'm about to enter EE pool but not so clear about the question of "have u applied before". Should the answer be "Yes" cos of the study visa or "No" since I haven't applied for FSW before? Thank you Hi,In my opinion,I don't think the study visa denial has anything to do with EE.I feel the question is whether you have enrolled previously in the EE.if you haven't applied before then select no. |

THOP: FSWP Dons, please advise me. Is it proper to merge BSc and MSc transcripts in one envelope to WES? I'm actually trying to cut cost on courier charges because sending seperately is a lot. I actually completed both degrees from the same UNI. Thanks Yes,since you got both qualifications from same institution but you have to direct the department in charge to do it that way then send.of course, you know it must be delivered to WES sealed and stamped. |

dupyshoo: I am sure he meant application after ITA.
Is the job still your current job or have you left the job? If you have left the job, you can get the job reference letter even before ITA and it will still be valid. However, if it is your current job and you will be claiming points for it till when you get ITA, it will be better to get the letter within a month before you submit your application. beautiful!I didn't know you have answered his query before I replied him.Welldone |

Thank you. Please enquire from those that have successfully gotten their PRs the exact stage one is expected to upload or submit R.Ls along with other supporting documents as I have not submitted any EE or ITA documents before.Regards |

dupyshoo: This is not correct. Part time work while studying part time outside Canada will count.Sorry Pardon me,you are right However, when you are on student visa in Canada, part time work will not count for those that are applying under Canadian Experience Class. Also, experience gained during school internship, which is part of your educational programme will also not count. JesusDway posted a link earlier. I have decided to post below links to support my statements.

Nickoko: @Gymme. Are you saying part-time job before qualification counts or part-time job after qualification? Are you saying if somebody graduated last year from a part-time program in nigeria university though he has been working for the past 6years whilst schooling, he will he get 6years or 1 year working experience for canada express entry? To the best of my knowledge cic only consider post qualification working experience wheather part-time or full time. On point and absolutely correct.keep it up |

bertoseve: Hi, just recieved and e-mail with this message Dear robert imieye
Thank you for your application. This is an automated response, PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL.
The Pre-assessment Result for your nominated qualification, bachelor of technology awarded in 2002 by rivers state university of science and technology, Nkpolu port-harcourt rivers state, Nigeria.
Pre-assessment Result:
On the information available, the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) assesses this qualification as comparable to the learning outcome of a qualification at Level 7 on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework. its coming less than the stipulated 20 working days. i'll like to confirm if "reference number " on the online form (F5a) the same as pre-assessment application number and on the drop menu of level, how do i identify level 7, then F6a What New Zealand qualification was your qualification assessed as being comparable to? Mail them the outcome of your PAR there are lots of confusing options to select except you understand the corresponding appendix very well. They will tell you the qualification range to select and the NZ qualification that is comparable to your PAR.Good day |

Cecegal: Hello House, Reporting for suggestions as well.
Any Engineer in the house that has gone through the process or going through the process kindly enlighten me as i am at lost when to do EOI.
Find our stats below Hubby:Electrical Eng 1st degree,Oil and gas Eng M.sc,Age:38,Work experience 4 years,IELTS 6.5 and above.good to go with this
Me:1st degree B.ED,Age:34 IELTS 6.5 and above very good also
I calculated our points to be on 120.
My questions are at what point do we need to do assessment before EOI or after EOI? You do self & husband's profile assessment using your own information just like the canada CRS then arrive at a cumulative score as you indicated above. if you feel satisfy with your score range then you sign up and begin to fill the online EOI app form.
Also do we need POF if so how much for family of 3? Make a reasonable budget for your family,POF is not needed for application submission.nevertheless, you may be required to show account balance or statement post ITA before migration.
Thank you. have a great evening |

bblessed: Good job you guys are doing.well done.Thank you
Pls what about for someone who just graduated without work experience, can he apply.
First, you can but make sure your occupation is listed on the long, short or immediate skills in demand list otherwise you don't stand a chance.
Secondly, since you don't have post graduation experience it will be difficult to get the cumulative point and of course no point for W.E not even a bonus point for number of yrs of W.E
And is there any site for new Zealand permanent residence, because I have searched through but couldn't see.
Na waa for you o!How can you say you have searched for NZ and you couldn't find any?as massive as world wide web.anyway check this www.newzealandnow.govt.nz, https://onlineservices.immigration.govt.nz
Thanks Use google NZ portal is uncountable |
