There was a time i paid for a studio session to make a cover for one song, only to realize later that i could have created the song cover myself with Audacity Audio editing software.

The money i paid for that recording session pain me i won't lie.

So I checked time, it was already a few minutes past 12noon.

I needed to go pick up Laurence from school and back to the office so we'd both wait for mama L to finish up at her office.

I hurriedly stepped out of the office and got to the parking lot where I had parked my car.

My car wasn't there.

I was surprised because I was staring at an empty space where I usually park my car and I was sure I parked it there this morning.

I mean other cars were still there, only my own was missing.

When I knew that there was problem, was when I started checking under the other cars looking for my own car.

You see this Nigeria, everybody is at the verge of running mad oh.

Because honestly, I don't even know which is more painful, that I was looking for my car under other people's car or that I drove it to see my boss at the college auditorium and forgot it there.

Back then as kids, during morning devotion, my dad would randomly call on anyone to round up the prayer for end of devotion.

Whenever my grand parents come to visit, my dad would ask my grandpa to round up the prayers.

It’s either your son is not two or the story is not true.

Today in church, my son Laurence sat quietly on his own in a seat in front of me.

Another boy about 2 years older than him also sat on his own seat by the side.

This other boy, I don't know him well, he got up and went to meet his dad at the other side of the church auditorium.

He came back and met his seat already occupied by two other boys, one about his age and another one slightly older than him.

Before they took his seat in his absence, they had accosted my son Laurence first, and asked him to get up from the chair he was sitting on for them to seat.

Me I just dey use corner eye dey observe them.

I know say dem never born the pikin wey go bully my boy.

My son just ignored the boys like they weren't even there.

That was when they went and occupied the vacant seat by the side that the other boy had left to go meet his dad.

Boy came back, found his seat was occupied by the ungun known boys and began to cry.

Like play, the cry was getting pretty intense very fast.

My son Laurence got up from his seat, went over and pushed down the two boys occupying the seat, collected the boy's Bible from them gave it to the crying boy and asked him to seat down on his seat.

Omo!!!!!

I was shocked.

My son Laurence just legit fought for someone older than him.

I felt good that my son was compassionate to stand up for someone being bullied.

But I didn't feel good that he is doing this at this young age. He is just 2years old.

Make he nor go dey beat people children for school oh.

Nor be me school Principal go dey send for every week because my son decided to be the "Jack Bauer" of the school.

To be honest, I don't know whether to be happy or to be worried with this development.

I've had my fair share of failures in business that I've become very pessimistic about business now but I won't forget one in a hurry.

I'll go first.

I have failed at several businesses o, but this particular one still dey pain me anytime I remember it.

So I have been drinking zobo since I was in primary school but it didn't feel or taste special until I drank one correct chilled zobo made by my babe.

Drinking this zobo, business ideas started to enter my head. I started to see the possibility of becoming a major competitor of Coca-Cola with my brand of zobo.

That's how I brought my babe and my brother together to start a zobo company.

As fate would have it, it was about the time that Deeper Life was having their Easter retreat.

So for my mind, there is a huge market for our product. I went ahead to make branded stickers for the zobo bottles.

We made 500 bottles of zobo for a start. By my calculations then, one bottle was selling for 50 naira, which would have generated N25k minus our production cost, we were expecting at least N12k profit from that first batch.

Long story short, day came, we transported the chilled zobo to the camp venue. The woman in charge of selling already did her own zobo to sell.

Omo, the thing just off me 2 seconds.

Lass lass we managed to sell only 20 bottles for N30 each.

The thought of transporting the zobo back home made me start experiencing symptoms of malaria and typhoid there on the spot.

Please don't even ask me what happened to the remaining bottles of zobo because I never still recover from that heartbreak.

To think I wanted to compete with the almighty Coca-Cola.

I chose the soup because I been feel say the thing easy.

I know there are different methods of preparing this particular soup, infact I know there is one they use to fry the egusi.

Na so I put red oil for fire and allowed it to heat very well.

The oil self been don dey bleech, people that know how to cook understand what I am saying about the oil.

I con put the egusi inside, begin fry am like garri.
