Uhmmm… this is where the issue is, if the 10k cad in your spouse account can make up for the reduction in POF, try merge the account and explain it convincingly enough. But your spouse Canadian account was not part of the POF before. How much was removed from the account??

If the fund is still intact, go to your bank to get another statement and a reference letter.submit it

But if the fund has reduced significantly, make up for it before printing and explain it thoroughly. All the best.

Medicals for Canada

Hello everyone, Please does anyone know whether I will have to do another medical exam if my results expire before I enter Canada?

I have a work permit & temporary visa. However, I am considering staying back in Nigeria to sort some issues before travelling to Canada. Issue is my Medicals will expire soon. Does anyone know if I will need to do a new medical exam before I can be allowed to enter Canada? Please advise. Thank you.

Yes, your medical must be valid at point of entry. If your medical expire before you travel, you must do another medical

If you submit your passport for stamping to the Abuja VFS office.
Note : initial biometric was done at Lagos VFS

After they stamp it ,

Will they send it back to Lagos office and from there you can opt to pick it up yourself or pay the 18,710 to be delivered to your preferred house location?

Your PPR, letter of introduction, visa, letter of admission, tuition deposit and so on to proof the spouse is enrolled. All the best

May 29th, the 3 kids got their MEDICALS PASSED on May 31. Two of the children got PPR on June 1st (study visa), but the 3rd child (visit visa) has not received PPR . Also my wife Status is still showing medical proccessing for only herself.

Congratulations to your family, for them to approve you kids. Your wife application and the last kid has been approved too, because she is the principal applicant.

Just raise webform tomorrow and send mail for them to update their PPR. Nothing to worry about

Each applicant have different UCI, when you get your biometric instructions letter, you will get your UCI too

Resend the slip for your wife through webform until it’s updated and get your baby medical done too. You have 30days to submit for them

I did an upfront medical last year November but the work permit application I used it for was refused as a result of the short time remaining on my spouse study permit.I did the medical using my old passport.
However,I am in the process of submitting a spouse open work permit for me and study permit for my kids and we now have a new passport,can I use the medical report for this application since it is still valid till November this year or do I need to redo another medical.The medical report is referencing my old passport as the 'identity document presented'

Don’t use OPAY because it’s a micro finance bank and they might have concerns about its legitimacy.

Move the money to your first bank account and attach your OPay statement to it, as proof of where the money is coming from

I ask coz the letter on introduction states when the medical expires so i thought one would need an updated LOI before travelling.its an SOWP

Pls i checked my SOWP tracker and i discovered medical completed of which medical was passed on Feb 10, Biometric and Background check in progress while eligibility not started. On March 18, there was an update but didn't know what was updated ecause there was no changes on my dashboard. On April 19, there was another update stating showing that biometric has been completed leaving background check in progress and eligibity not started. I thought eligibility is usually the first thing to do before going to the next stage of any application and what might might be the ghost update gotten in March 18.

The ghost update is a sign they are working hard n your file and the eligibility is not completed until you get ppr and your passport stamped

Hello Everyone, I got the passport request from IRCC last week and submitted my Passport with UPS paying for a return courier. This morning, i got an sms with account details to pay N9,930 as passport transmission fee and forward the evidence to canadang@vfshelpline.com. I also got a call this morning to reiterate the sms i got earlier. I need to know if this is the process before i proceed with the payment.

What they are asking for is transmission fee and it’s probably because you sent your passport to a different office from where you do your biometric. If that’s it, just pay it

Hello, please could you confirm if you fast track your Visa as I also did capturing on February 1st but the tracking shows still in progress

You people needs to go to their office physically to confirm if your passport is ready. The tracking site stop updating after you capture and will always show production in progress until you collect your passport.

My SOWP application was approved on the 29th of March and I gave birth on the 2nd of April. I hoped my application will be approved way before I was due but trust IRRC to always take one by surprise.

My question is:
I want to start my child’s application as soon as possible. However, I do not know how to go about it. Do I inform IRCC via web form that I have put to bed and wish to include her in my already approved application or do I just apply for a visit visa for her. Which option is faster and better?

Please your opinions and suggestions will be highly appreciated.

P:S IRCC is aware of the pregnancy when they sent medical request. My pregnancy was captured in the result.

Raise webform informing them you put to bed and submit the baby application too.

Please for SOWP application, do we still need to resubmit all those properties and evidences we presented during the application for study permit? and do we need to include the expense for the students i.e living expense of the student in Canada in analysing the POF?

You can provide all the assets, for proof of home tie for your spouse.

You don’t need to talk about the student expenses here again. The application is only your spouse and your children, if there is any.

I need logical and realistic opinions on this matter.
Please who is familiar with the concept of migrating a passport that is unexpired.
I have a 5 year passport that is about to expire in Oct 2024. The passport contains valid UK visa March - September 2023.

Now I may have to leave the country by third quarter of this year 2023 and I do not want the stress of renewing passport when abroad so I considered renewing my passport before it expires and before I travel, with a 10 year passport.
An immigration officer told me I can and it's called migration passport renewal. The initial passport with visas would be cancelled without prejudice when the new one is issued but the visas would still be valid on the old one

Who is familiar with this and how does it work. Hope I won't have issues presenting both passports at point of departure? Thank you in advance.
