@Udoka2, yes oo akmst thr. Am counting d days like a crazy preson. I'll be 12weeks on sunday but no bump yet oo. i heard first pregnancies dnt start showing until a lil later, even tho evryone is diff. The only thng i've noticed is dat i've added a lil bit of wieght but nuttin too drastic. I really want to watch wat i eat during dis pregnancy, dnt want to add too much weight cos losing it wnt b dat easy.
I hvnt even bought a single maternity cloth but i feel u. And your 10 weeks mark is closer than you think oo so get ready.

@Mstia, how did your first appt go. I trust dat evrythng went well as expected. Looking 4ward to your update.

@PInk22, Udoka2 is right. i was going to say d same thng. Thrs egg quality is not based on d days you take clomid, its jst finding wat works for you and makes you ovulate.

@Mstia, you do not have anything to worry abiut. I hve headaches too and i asked my DR wen i saw him on Tuesday and he sed its part of it. Some pple have it while others dnt. I bought tylenol to take if d pain is unbearable but its nuttin i cant handle. Anyway talk to your Dr shaa. As for the pelvic pain, dats ur body tryin to get used to its new visitor. I knw i used to get light cramping in d first few weeks after i found out i was pregnant but that has since stopped.
Goodluck at you appt 2mrw and ask lots of questions...i actually wrote my questions dwn and i asked my Dr all of them, i dnt even want stories.

I am feeling d same exact thng, am finding it very difficult moving to the pregnancy thread so i figured i'll jst hang out on this thread for now until am ready. I dnt think anybody has a problem with dat. My scan made me so emotional n teary, smetimes its jst unbelievable that u hve a baby growing inside of you.
I too am on progesterone and am def goin to wait until 14weeks to stop. And i'll go 4rm daily to evryother day and then to evry 2 days, and to evry 3 days...dats how i intend to stop.

@Mstia dis is actually my 3rd scan. But ystrday was my first anti natal visit with a Dr to talk abt d pregnancy and then had blood drawn to check my blood level, so d Dr actually did the U/S himself. The first 2 scans i jst went to a place cald Echo Scan here in abuja, didnt actually consult with a DR.

@ebony13 i can only answer one of ur question. Theres no best time to take clomid per say, d earlier you take it in a cycle the earlier u'l ovulate. Sme pple say a particular time works better but i guess evryone is diff. In america Drs usually do 5-9, but in Nigeria Drs do 2-6. If you ovulate on 2-6 i dnt think thrs need for you to change. Pple change 4rm 2-6 to 5-9 or vice versa if they are not ovulating and want to see if taking it at a diff time wil brng a diff outcme.

Thanks Udoka2 dear, yea i decided i'll go up until 14weeks b4 stopping. My DH says he'l even suggest i stay on it d whole 9 mnths but dats not necessary. I've done a lot of research on the best way to stop Progesterone during pregnancy and 12weeks seems to be wen most Drs ask you to stop. SO i jst want to gve dat extra 2 weeks cushion.
I have you in my prayers and i knw the prayers have been answered. I love Drs wit very positive attitude cos it really helps dis journey and am in agreement with your Dr, as he has sed it so shall it be.

@Shiloh, Amen to you prayer. I try not to entertain fear my sister but as human beings smetime dat thot jst comes but i get over it quickly and i confess positive upon my pregnancy. You can ovulate up to 10 days after clomid so if its 8 days after for you, ur still well within d window...go and get busy. and if you BD 2 days ago the sperm is stil alive and can still do d job too but its gud to hve ur bases well covered.. I believe its possible not to feel ovulation cramps while on clomid but smeone shuld correct me if am wrong

@Rocksqueen, sry dear, Metformin is not a joke but how did you start? I mean wat dosage exactly and do you take it with food.

Hey ladies, i went for my anti natal 2day and thanks be to God evrything is fine. Am jst over 11 weeks now, Dr believes i shuld be able to stop the Progesterone i've been on as the Placenta has formed is will then take over. Am even scared of stoppin the Progesterone cos i've read so many pple tel thier story online abt how things went bad or they miscarried after they stopped Progesterone...but i knw dat is not my PORTION.


Am so glad evrythng is fine cos smetimes i get scared wen i hve to go to hospital, i always hve to reassure myself that God never stops half way. Am so excited and looking at dat U/S machine 2day n watching the baby move so peacefully n innocently brought tears to my eyes, i cant wait until 20 weeks to find out the sex of the baby.

I jst want to encourage evryone on dis forum, only smeone who has been on dis journey wit you will undrstand exactly it takes to keep your head high and hve faith in God or wat it takes to be happy for pple wen you hear they are pregnant or rejoice wen you go 4rm one baby dedication to another. Ok, dats gud but am guessing u mean u started the drug to induce ur period and not induce ovulation. You remember i told u that i thot u started Metformin on too high a dose but u sed u react to drugs pretty well. Am still on 1500mg and even tho i've been on it so long i still get small side effects 4rm d drug especially is i dnt eat well b4 taking it. You can start with 500mg daily and work your way up to 1500mg daily. Metformin is not a drug dat shows you improvements physically, i remember wondering d same thng after i had been on it for so long.

OMG Mstia love congrats and i wish you d healthiest and safest pregnancy. God is indeed very faithful. This is our year and more BFPs are def on d way. I knw you cant wait to go for a scan. Am really happy to hear dis news cos i knw in my heart that prayers on dis forum hve long been answerd.

For aboÙt 3mnth d side effect were nt 2 nice but i endured it until  started spotting daily 4 about 18day then ma Doc asked mi 2 stop it.secondly,according 2 ma Doc inducing ovulation and getting pregnant is much simpler than sustaining d pregnancy, since my progesterone is vry low its really nt likely i can sustain it.

I almst wanted to ignore ur post but my conscience wuldnt let me. Am sry to say but ur Dr is actually very wrong to say that it is harder to sustain a pregnancy that to get pregnant. Getting pregnant us very difficult hence its called TRYING TO CONCIEVE and not TRYING NOT TO HVE A MISCARRIAGE. Dat you hve Low Progesterne doesnt mean you cant carry a pregnancy to term, it jst means you'll need help to do it. And mind you Progesterone is only needed in the first 10-12weeks of pregnancy after which the Placenta takes over providing nutrition to the baby. There are pple wit one or two children who find it difficult getting pregnant again, my dats whr d hard work is.
I too hve Low progesterone and my Dr believe it caused my miscarriage in April but now am almst 11weeks and am progesterone suppositories daily.
I jst had to respond cos i dnt like Drs dat sound so negative, does he want to you to start wondering y ur not getting pregnant since its so easy. My dear, dnt let dat thot sink into your head cos its not true.

@ebony13, yes i induced while on Metformin. The first time i was solely on Metformin but d 2nd time i was on Metformin as well but i then found out about Fertilaid and started it at alsmt mid cycle and then realized i was pregnant after i had been on Fertilaid for abt 2 weeks. So i dnt knw if Fertilaid contributed to dat pregnancy or not. I've been on Metformin since May of last year, so i believe Metformin would have actually been crucial in all my 3 pregnancies. The funny thng is dat with dis my current pregnanct i had taken drugs to induce my period and after almst 2 weeks d period didnt start and i decided to take a pregnancy test cos my bosoms were sore, dat was when i realized y my period didnt start after taking d drugs.

My dear weep no more for God has heard those prayers, thr is nutting he cannot do. His promises must cme to pass in our lives, so jst gve praises for prayers answered and move on to thanksgiving.

LO is doin good, thank God. Will be 11weeks on Sunday, cant wait to hit 14weeks. Nope not kicking yet, but evry week i read on d baby's development and am simply amazed by God's perfection.

@ebony13, i jst thot i shuld share smethng with you regarding long cycles. My infertility specialist advised me to induced my period evry 35 - 40 days if it does not come on its own. The reason is dat its gud to get your body on a pattern cos wit PCOS dis cycle can be 70 days and next cycle can be 90 days and that can throw your body off balance. And each time you get a period whether induced or natural, your body sheds d lining of your uterus and dat prepares your body for pregnancy each month. I've gotten pregnant twice after an induced period, dis is my only pregnancy in which my period came on its own and i believe dats Fertilaid at work. I knw it wuld be gud if our periods will jst come wen it shuld but it doesnt hurt to help the body do wat its suppsd to do.

I think you shuld talk to your Dr abt it and see wat he thinks, but dat my personal experience. If you decide to wait it out your period might evenyually cme but i dnt think you want to be wasting time na.

@Pink22, dnt gve up my dear. Get a blood test done its more accurate. I try not to use those line tests, they drive me insane. I usually buy d ones dat write "pregnant" or "not pregnant"

I went for a scan yestrday and evrythng is perfect, am 9weeks and 2days now with EDD 21. 04. 2013. This is huge for me cos with my last 2 pregnancies i didnt get past 8weeks. So i knw God will def finish wat he has started. The funny thng is dat my really gud friend is actually abt 10weeks, and our due date is abt d same time....so am really excited.
I cant wait for first trimester to be over.

@Marygold, i had 2 miscarriages at about d same time as well but even tho its been established dat ur Progesterone is too low to sustain a pregnancy there are other testing that need to be done b4 ur Dr can confidently say dats d reason ur miscarrying. Am not sure how it works in Nigeria but in America most Drs order the comprehensive blood work after you hve had 3 miscarriages in a row even tho sme Drs make an exception and do it after 2 miscarriages in a row. In my case i only had 2 miscarriages wen i did the testing b4 my Dr sed Low Progesterone seems to be d only cause of my miscarriages. But 4rm d blood work i did my Dr sed i had a minor infection dat culd cause a miscarriage which he treated wit jst 7 days of antiboitics. Some causes of miscarriage can actually be treated very easily but its important dat its treated if it exists.

Wen i had my 2nd miscarriage i decided dat i wnt schedule any D&C, i sed let God see it to the end on my behalf and after sme days n started crapming and i miscarried naturally.
I suggest going for a 2nd and if possible 3rd opinion, i honestly believe dat miracles do happen but watevr d outcme dear ur a VICTOR and not a VICTIM.

Hey ladies, hope evryone is doing very well. I had decided i wasnt goin to get an U/S done until i think am btw 8 n 10weeks but dat plan changed. Abt 2 nites ago i started spotting so ystrday morning i cald my DR and he sed it was nuttin to worry abt but if i want to put my mind at ease i can go for a scan and so i went for a scan. I didnt think anythng was wrong actually cos d spotting was very light n brownish with no pain/cramping at all. Anyway, evrythng was fine. The baby is doing well measuring 4.6mm and they were able to hear the heartbeat as well. They want me to repeat a scan in 2 weeks cos the technician wasnt able to tell exactly how far along i am. He says he think am jst a lil less dan 6weeks.

Am so thankful to God cos i knw dis wuldnt b possible with his mercy and am truly grateful. My DH was so happy after he saw d baby on d scan n saw d blood pumping n heard d heartbeat. God is indeed faithful and he can never fail.

To all, please do not gve up. Theres no way on earth GOD wont hear all those cries and answer all those prayers. I always pray wit thanksgiving in my heart even after i miscarried d 2nd time cos i always knew my time will come.
With my first m/c i lost it even b4 we culd hear the heartbeat but wit the 2nd one we heard a very strong heartbeat and one day thr was no heartbeat anymre. But still am not scared of this pregnancy cos i knw d GOD i serve n worship wnt let me cast this one young.

@profeseur, yea Fertilaid has very good reviews n I knw a few pple it has worked. I got pregnant d first time on Fertilaid after taking it 4 jst 2 weeks n dat was my 2nd failed clomid cycle. So I started it on CD 14 after my follicles were not maturing 4rm d clomid n I ovulated on CD 28 n got pregnant. I also hve a friend who got pregnant on Fertilaid after she had been ttc for 7yrs. She was abt doin IVF wen her new obgyn asked her to try fertilaid n if it doesn't work they'l go on to do IVF.
I also knw smeone Fertilaid didn't work for actually, so it doesn't work 4 evryone but Fertilplus worked for her instead. So I guess u hve to try it to knw if it wil work for u.

@Udoka2 am crossing my fingers for u. Please get busy...can't wait for d gud news.

@ebony, i was goin to do clomid and injectables next if I didn't get pregnant. My Dr sed d success rate is very gud and it doesn't cost a fortune. So if dats smethng ur thinking abt, u can ask ur Dr abt it.

@profeseur, dnt b depressed. Its either clomid works n u ovulate or it doesn't work and u dnt ovulate. Thrs nuttin like clomid working but not 100%. I dnt think u shuld worry too much, I did 2 cycles of clomid n it didn't work for me and I refused to do a 3rd cycle. Sme pple are clomid resistant while others jst need to find d right dose to make them ovulate. Either way dnt sweat it my dear, ur a winner and all u need is ur BFP clomid or not!!!

@Champs, OMG, been waiting patiently for another BFP and am so happy abt dis news right now. Congrats my dear, am so excited for u. I hvnt done an U/S yet but am guessing am abt 6weeks at d moment, so we not far apart. Ur U/S showing u at 6weeks n 5days is still accurate to a certain extent even if u think ur jst 6weeks, cos its +/- 3days. I decided i'll do things diff dan i did wit my other 2 pregnancies, i wnt go for a scan until am between 8 and 10 weeks. Ur pregnancy is permanant, thrs nutting to worry abt.

After 2 miscarriages, i expected that i'll be so worried but funny enuf am more at peace than i've been with anyother pregnancy. I jst believe in my heart that GOD will finish wat he has started. Am not even in a hurry to go for a scan, i hope my DR doesnt insist.

@profeseur, welcme dear. I too hve PCOS and am on Metformin but d highest dosage I've been on is 1500mg. Is thr any particular reason y ur Dr has u on such a high dose of Metformin? I wuld also suggest doin another HSG, jst to confirm if d flushing worked. The drug ur taking to regulate ur period, is it actually working? I knw Fertilaid is very gud wit regulating periods esp for women wit PCOS.
I can't comment on d high prolactin, dnt knw anythng abt dat. I guess smeone else can comment or suggest smethng to u.

@bukieluv, thank you and Amen to ur prayer. I'v always knwn fertilaid has vitex but not dong quai, unless thrs another name for it. I also did a lot of research on PCOS wen i was first diagnosed wit it and yea cutting dwn carbs can make a huge difference.

@Udoka2, yea i was prescribed Progesterone 200mg daily, but dats pretty much d only thng am doing dis pregnancy dat i didnt do with my other pregnancies. Dnt wry dear, God has plans for u.

@ebony13, dnt b frustrated my dear. Are u still taking fertilaid or u stopped? According to my Infertility specialist, 2mnths is not enuf time for Metformin to work, even tho it depends on how bad ur PCOS is. But i remember wen he started me on Metformin, d agreement was that i'll be on it 6mnths and if it doesnt work on its own, then we'll think abt other stuff. And wen i complained dat 6mnths was too long he sed i have to gve it at least 3mnths then. Based on my personal experience I was on it for abt 4mnths wen i got pregnant unexpectedly d first time, without clomid or fertilaid jst on Metformin alone. So i believe it works but it takes time for it to get into ur system n try to balance out ur hormones.

@alwaystrue, i hve PCOS which is the reason i was prescribed Metformin in the first place. My Obgyn told me start taking Fertilaid after i had two failed clomid cycles. Well, most Obgyn's will tel u to make sure ur taking Prenatal vitamins if ur trying to conceive.

@alwaystrue, yes i stopped taking fertilaid immediately after i too the pregnancy test and switched to regular prenatal vitamins. Thnx for your concern.

@memyselfandi, i was not aware that Metformin and Fertilaid do not go together, this is the first time am hearing it cos my DR sanctioned it. My Dr was actually the person that introduced me to Fertilaid. But i dnt see why it shuld be an issue cos Fertilaid is pretty much like a prenatal vitamin.
Anyway, i was on Metformin 1500mg total, so i take one Metformin pill and one Fertilaid pill 3times a day. AM actually still on Meformin my DR wants me on it until after the first trimester.

Thank you all so much, God has really been faithful. I cant wait to go for my first scan cos its so hard to knw how far along i am with my periods so irregular but am guessing abt 4 or 5 weeks.

Am doing well so far jst dat my bosoms are killing me, they are so heavy, full and sore but i take it all in good faith...dnt even want to complain one bit.

@joesQ, I personally hve not had any bad side effects 4rm Fertilaid. Am actually a big advocate of Fertilaid, cos I wasn't ovulating on my own until I strted taking it. My only issue at first was d fact dat u hve to take it 3 times a day and I hate drugs so much but I had to suck it up and get used to it as long as it gave me wat I was looking for.

So I wuld actually recommend Fertilaid to anyone ttc. Dnt knw if it works for evry single person but it doesn't hurt to try it. I started taking Fertilaid end of last year, and I've gotten pregnant 2wice on it.

Dnt knw at dryin ur ur CM, didn't hve any problems wit that. But if dat is a concern to u, u can buy Preseed or fertileCM to help wit dat. They are actually made by d same company.

My fruitful ladies, my GOD has done it for me oooooooo. I got my BFP 2days ago. And 2day I went to d lab for a blood test to confirm the pregnancy.

I can't even begin to write how happy I am, I had to ask God to pardon me thanking him so much. I've been singing praises and jst thanking God like a crazy woman.

Anyway, I really didn't do anythng differently. Jst started Fertilaid n Metformin in june after my miscarriage in April n HSG in May.

I had a strong feeling August wuld be d month but I didn't knw it would happen dis soon after I got bck to nigeria. I didn't see dis one comin, I only took d HPT cos my breasts hve been so sore and heavy and one morning I had a strong urge to throw up.

Dr sed to go for a scan in 3weeks, so I'l keep evryone posted.

Am stil praying for evryone on dis forum.

@Udoka, jst pray and leave everything to God. Don't stress ur self at all, God is fighting ur battles for u. But I don't see y a DR shuld have a problem dat ur knowledgeable. Like my Dr says, no one knows ur body more dan u do, so feel free to ask any questions or even let d Dr know wen ur not in agreement wit wat he's sayin.

@beckytoyon i decided to go back and look for ur post and its actually on page 99 and not 100, dats y i didnt see it. You mentioned that you have seen a DR, wat exactly did d Dr do? Did he run any tests or suggest anythng to u? Ur post was very brief and doesnt gve a lot of info on ur journey.
Also has ur DH been checked too? Monitoring ur cycle is very important too, so that you know wen ur ovulating. If u have a regualr cycle pin pointing ovulation wil b easier but if its irregular then its a lil harder.
Pls let us know wat n wat u have tried and also feel free to ask any questions, smeone might have an answer or at least a suggestion.
