I don't think it is a matter of ethnic or religious sentiments. It is simply a matter of cowardice. You know how a cowardly bully with low self esteem is always quick to 'show power' when dealing with a seemingly 'weaker' target, but cowers and hides when confronted with a strong target. That is exactly what it is. The strongest people in Nigeria today are the northerners, simply because they don't fear death and are implacably bold. The Creek boys of the South South, particularly Ijaw Delta and Ikwerre Rivers are also formidable. Their oil bunkering and the few years Jonathan was in power afforded them the opportunity to amass choice weapons and they also have the advantage of a difficult to navigate terrain that is hostile and perilous to outsiders. Otherwise, much of the South is too complaint and conciliatory, thus signalling weakness which is what cowardly bullies like the Nigerian Army likes. That is why you see them always eager to apply maximum force to oppress soft targets like unarmed civilians or even Ipob. In fact, the Army's favorite posting is to the East to 'deal with' anything they imagine to be Ipob. Post them to the treacherous plains of Zamfara to fight bandits or deeper Borno to fight insurgents and rhey will start peeing in their pants and telling you stories of how 'saboteurs', corrupt politicians, and their corrupt generals are sabotaging their efforts. |
adebowales:The same style Israel is using against who? Against its own citizens? |
nedekid:This makes a lot of sense. |
We have a massive competence problem. Our government and our system has been so bastardized that the level of institutional incompetence we have on our hands would only lead to the demise of this contraption we call a country. Forget the western world and other strong countries. No where in the third world would you find twenty something soldiers massacred by ragtag non state actors within its territory during peace time...when the country is not experiencing a civil war. Our soldiers, policemen, and much of our entire public service is largely populated by incompetent idiots with poor orientation, misplaced motivations, corrupt mindset, and perverse attitudes. That's why the soldiers are orientated to form voltron when facing unarmed civilians, but are easily routed by armed civilian gangs. That's why over 20 armed soldiers cannot hold their ground, cannot call for immediate reinforcement/ air support, and would die like chickens under the ambush of ragtag gangs. Just like how our policemen who like packing themselves like sardines in hilux are killed regularly by drive by criminals. No sense of positioning, no alertness, no strategy, no technology, nothing. We are seriously endangered as a society. We need a hard reset. After that hard reset, we must prioritise merit and competence across the entire public service / government institutions, including our security forces. That is the only way. You can't give what you don't have. |
Fiscus105:So there is no 'round peg in round hole' from Cross River State or Delta State, or Benue State or even Abia State to man this position? Some of you like to play clever by half, but you can only deceive yourselves. Better enjoy and partake in the awalokan bonanza at all cost, because when the day of reckoning comes - as it must - those of you who benefitted from it and the vast majority of you who didn't benefit from it but merely supported it for sentimental reasons would all suffer for it. Take it to the bank. |
Peace at whose expense? All these oversabi women sef. Can't ever be me. |
Ntoor. |
yinkeys:High market cap is always relative, as we never can tell how high high can go. I guess I wanted to ride the bull. I don't consider them as waste though. They can stay there for two years if need be. Better than actually 'wasting' the money on liquor and yansh. |
wonlasewonimi:I don't have any experience with 'technical analysis' and I don't claim to be an expert, but I am swayed by the simple fact that there's only a limited amount of total btc, and with more money chasing a limited supply of btc, then it will inevitably increase in value. This is somewhat commonsensical. In the next ten years, one btc might even be $1m. I'd say this is probably a better long term investment than property. Maybe your children will appreciate you for leaving them a healthy btc wallet as inheritance than a house. The way I see it, only a highly disruptive and currently unimaginable event can stall the rise of bitcoin. |
doyin01:Some of them are here. I've been given a little hope only by myro and pepe. That aimx in particular is looking rubbish. Value has halved since I bought it a couple of days ago. So, more knowledgeable egbons, which of these should I get rid of?
|
OgogoroFreak:I swear. I got some btc in a different wallet dedicated to btc alone. But I'm kind of regretting dabbling into these alt coins in the hope of rapid 10x. I agree I got in late but then, ah ah. Maybe it's a good idea to just exit and focus on btc. |
Afe11:I definitely didn't get in on the action as early as you did (I been dey jonse). I got Shib, mog, ARB, AIMX early last week and till now nothing to give me hope. Shib is most annoying as it has been stuck since I got it. |
Will BTC keep going all the way to $100k? Make I know whether I go throw my entire life savings into this thing, lol. The $2k i spread across meme and Ai coins have so far been unproductive, either declining or just standing still. What's with the slow performance in a supposed bull season. |
N500k my foot. Left to me, the 'minimum wage' should be reduced to N15, 000 sef. And I am serious. And I say this advisedly, for good reason.... First, the concept of minimum wage in Nigeria is largely applicable only to government workers. Especially Federal Government workers. Unfortunately, our entire public service across all tiers of government is predominantly populated by unproductive idiots, employed not on merit and measured not by input-driven deliverables, but merely on the basis of shameless nepotism, parochiialism, favouritism, man-know-manism, parapoism, and other negative 'isms'. The majority of the idiots who call themselves civil servants/public servants are unspeakably incompetent and unproductive, and do not even deserve to be paid their current wages, let alone any upgraded minimum wage. We can only begin to talk about a fair minimum wage when we start implementing a productivity, competence, value and merit based economic system. If you put in fair work then you deserve a fair wage. That is how it is done in the Western World and in any other sane society. |
Tochj:Told to apologise for what? Why didn't Erisco sue her according to laid down CIVIL laws? There is nothing she did that requires police arrest or detention. So why twist the laws and use your useless money to compromise the police to perpetuate injustice because you feel somebody maligned your product? God punish Erisco and whoever is supporting the stupid man's barbaric behaviour. |
malali:If your brain cells weren't so impaired, you will discern that the point he is making is that it is a waste of time to focus on the smaller crime when the bigger crime is what is holding us back as a nation. Prioritisation! |
Useless country with useless institutions. God will punish anybody who knowingly purchases any Erisco Product. The company has to fold up. Let its unfortunate employees look for other jobs. |
Akpabio is one of the most frivolous politicians in the 4th Republic. Openly and unashamedly corrupt, hedonistic, bombastic, shallow minded, and faux flamboyant. The fact that Tinubu actively supported and endorsed such a character to be the Senate President tells you everything you need to know about Tinubu himself. |
DeepThroater:Why not post this on your Facebook, with your full chest, so that we will know who is talking? |
heniford2:Typical animalistic mindset of a horrible Nigerian. No sense, no understandiing. You will use her an example by bribing the useless Nigerian police to twist the law against her, and jeopardising the public image of your useless business in the process. Classic case of cutting the nose to spite the face. |
There's no essence to be honest. It is meaningless and empty. We just invent purpose/beliefs/goals to justify our meaningless time here. The sun has been rising and setting for billions of years, with utmost routineness and indifference. Mother nature is aloof; e no send any human being. Regardless of our 'achievements' or the lack thereof, we would all fizzle out and be eventually forgotten - sooner than later - as if we never even existed in the first place. |
Soukiss:You this miserable illiterate. Go and get a proper education before quoting your superior. |
Who still patronises any rubbish produced by the so-called Erisco Foods? Very useless company with that fat faced fuucktard that calls himself the CEO. I hate small minded bullies. Because one insignificant person gave a bad review of your commercial product, you think you should use corrupt institutions of government to oppress, traumatise and persecute her. God punish you and your company. Arrogant bastard. Would anybody remember her so-called review by now if you had simply ignored it? Common sense is not so common. Left to me, that company would fold up because nobody should patronise its worthless products. |
Only in the north. If it was in the South, the cowardly soldiers would be ever ready to flex 'power'. |
NovusHomo:Well, a wealthy woman can be 'very happy' in marriage, as long as the husband is glad to be the meek lapdog who sees nothing, hears nothing, overlooks everything and plays along quite nicely. In other words, wealthy women wouldn't mind a 'useful idiot" as a husband. Where the problem lies is if the man wants to assert himself in any way or claim any atom of alpha/manly traits. How dare you carry small girls (even if she herself is carrying small boys); how dare you question me. Etc. |
Kamachicho:Where in the world does early 70s qualify as "mid life" ? |
If she could manage his irresponsibility for 30 years and through siring 4 adult sons, then she can certainly manage it till death. I don't know what is wrong with people. |
His multiple hundreds of millions of dollars of cash and assets, gone.. Fizzled... Dissipated. Swallowed by obscure and numerous others. His schemings, laurels, accomplishments and moves, all meaningless right now. This is what we mean when we say vanity upon vanity. The routineness of it. The banality of it. The indifference of the universe. The indifference of the universe! But people no dey hear. |
How come the janus faced, mealy mouthed Kperogi forgot to smuggle in Peter Obi's name this time? |
VeeVeeMyLuv:There's nothing more dangerous than a 'strong' leader who is also corrupt, clueless, and tribalistic. That is a recipe for disaster. The only kind of 'strong' leaders that can drive growth and development in a third world country is the Lee Kwan Yu archetype. Strong, yes, but also nationalistic, puritan, above board, public spirited and self-less. Someone like Obasanjo was somewhat strong but also somewhat corrupt. But extremely nationalistic and public spirited. Hence the progress Nigeria made under him. Someone like Yar Adua or Goodluck could have been accused of being 'weak', but at least they were conscious of the public good. If a policy seemed to cause hardship, they revised it to the extent possible, based on overwhelming public opinion. The disastrous bastard they call BAT is neither of these things. He claims to be strong, yet he lacks public support or a national base (only his Yoruba tribalists supported him), he is exceedingly corrupt, completely selfish, totally sectional and tribalistic, and absolutely clueless. You can't have these combinations and yet be purporting to be 'strong' and be taking 'hard decisions' that impoverish the masses. He will end up deposed. Mark it. His useless pride and hubris wouldn't save him. He will be disgracefully forced out of office before the end of this tenure. |
Only for freelancers or people receiving payments from major platforms (Amazon, Upwork, etc). You can't tell your random customer or relative in the US or anywhere in Europe to wire money directly from his account to your Grey account. It will likely get frozen. |
