Nonsense. I've always maintained that in Nigeria especially, women should not be given jobs, contracts, etc on the basis of just being women. It is unfortunate and socially incongruous. If a woman is smart enough to earn a highly technical job or sharp enough to make herself rich (without easy passes from men) in Nigeria's capitalist setting, no problem.

But economically empowering some useless girls who have basic skills and basic abilities is damaging to the social fabric of this country.

If you are a randy oga who can give someone a high paying job, rather than give that your useless girlfriend or potential conquest, give her brother instead. He needs it more, and would distribute the benefits more.

Bottom line is: Women shouldn't be unnecessarily and unfairly empowered economically. It is a waste and only creates social distortions.
