ahiboilandgas: how is an investment? Your best strategy is to look for scholarships ( Australia is very expensive more thank uk or canada ) is not a place to manage .2 they have express entry like canada ...which will cost u less than 500k ...check their are threads 4 their a guy that run a loan scheme here (look for him) ..5 fcmb (has foreign education loan)....... Good evening boss sorry for reaching out now, I tried I couldn't get full scholarship even this 2 year Graduate entry Nursing I got the offer I applied for partial scholarship of $5,000. 2.Late last year I applied for jobs via job websites like seek.au, joora I received calls from the recruitment manager but couldn't proceed sending me offer due to my job the needed on shore candidates. Same thing early February this year I applied for a Pharmacy Technician job with Tasmania govt after all the process even they had to call my manager to hear about my work ethics. After all it was still the offshore issue meanwhile I tried Canada getting a Pharmacy assistant job was really not easy compared to Australia where I got so much offers but because I wasn't in-state. I actually would love moving there due to my career prospect in my previous degree. Attached below is confirmation of the job I applied and lost it because I wasn't onshore.

I often visit this forum to read, learn, and follow you all advise here, seeing post of everyone here Business minded encourages me to be more hardworking so I can also follow your footprints to success like you all has been displaying here over the years. Having read and followed this thread relently, I had to re-think to try my luck here being that i know i am a good investment that would appreciate by God's mercy. I had a previous thread about migrating but no help. I am a very hardworking human also with skills in sewing/tailoring ,I am a graduate of Pharmacology i currently work in a hospital Pharmacy I have been working here for over 3years. I tried migrating 3 years ago but couldn't there was no help as well I had to keep striving after 3years my siblings I helped all are graduates today thanks to God almighty but with my salary still at 60k without increment. It has always been my desire to leave this country but I have no one to help ease the burden monetary, I recently got an admission to study in Australia for 2years graduate entry Nursing program Sept/Oct 2020 studies program which by june 2020 i should should be applying for Visa for the course . I am here to solicit to be an investment that would appreciate i promise i will start paying back money you invested in 6months after Arrival in Australia. I am Soliciting for 3mil for initial deposit directly to the school account before Coe for the visa can be issued every other expenses i would handle it with the little i have saved. The 3million for part tuition is the main goal before I can apply for visa, sourcing money for other things won't be an issue when I move there I have gotten 2 Pharmacy assistant jobs with good jobs over there twice that could secure me PR, I couldn't because I told them I wasn't residing in Australia.Again I have handwork skills that could fetch me some money while there. Please go through my previous thread....Am a determined lady I need to start my life afresh. Nigeria can't save my destiny the fact that I don't even have money to start up, I just want to leave here help make my dreams come true not just paying you back your money, will have to thank you and bless you all my life. WestAfrican: Yes it's on a case to case basis but then how do you justify having a degree and then sliding down for a lower certificate?
Is it because the fees is lower? Is it because you want to get into Australia via that avenue?
Yoh just have to convince your case officer by all means you are a genuine entrant.
In your case, you can put it in writing that you did not do well in your degree because that wasn't the cause you really wanted to study. You had to study it cos of pressure from family. Now that have accepted to support you in your new career pathway. A strong statement of purpose will help. Thanks bro So have just decided to go through that Tafe route as everything in life is all about risk believing in God it will end in praise. Having decided won't mind if you could just little things I will have to do ahead of this visa application Am applying forJuly term 2018 Monday or Tues this new week will be applying for Ielts exam as one their required documents . Meanwhile would be very grateful if you could list some expenses and steps am going to take in this my Tafe application just few I should have in mind so I can plan and know what the expenses is for Svp.Few please not much that few will guide me on this my quest |

You may not have plenty of points on experience but your age point will make up for that. Try to score high on ielts, aim at 8 point in all bands.
If you choose not to follow the PR route and do sincerely want to come to Aus for study, you may want to save up some money to help you with your master's degree. On the other hand if you are anxious about getting yourself into Aus by all means, you may want to apply for a degree in Nursing or something related to your first degree. It is a littlebit tricky here as you need a very strong statement of purpose to convince your case officer why you have decided to change career pathway.
One reason could be you found a job or someone you know is offering you a job after you complete your new course (you need to back it up with some documents -i.e. job offer letter etc) AND OR your sponsor wants you to change a pathway due to the job security / opportunities in the new course.
Do not venture to apply for TAFE otherwise you will be shooting yourself in the foot.
Godspeed. Saw your post here bro Regarding you mean Through Tafe studies route it won't be easy getting visa Just curious though or they follow it case by case just saying because I also intend applying for diploma nursing in Western Australia where my uncle lives. Am a graduate of pharmacology with 3rd class been working in a hospital pharmacy for 2yrs including Nysc. Now I wish to further studies do you think with my cgpa or grade i might get chances to explore Tafe route?? |

one other thing to note @douglaseguakun is that your AGE is going to play a major role in both being admitted for a bsc program and applying for a study permit with a bsc program.
So like most people have advised, get your study permit using a master degree and when you get to canada, you will have opportunities to study and do what you so desire. what age is prefarable to apply for bsc? |

Truce01: Hello All, Reading through this thread, I will like to make the following comments. 1. You can get admission and study visas with the following credentials; (3rd class, second class up or lower, masters degree) to any graduate program as long as you meet the school requirements and its in the same or similar fields of study.
2. Canadians aren`t overly excited about credentials, they value work experience much more.
3. If your primary goal is to immigrate and you don`t have enough money for a masters degree, then by all means go for grad certificate or diploma at any college.
4. Remember 1 year program = 1 year work permit, 2 years = 3 years work permit.
5. If you are in a relationship, I strongly suggest you go get married and have your marriage certificate before you leave for school. Your spouse can join you on an open work permit which will be valid for the same duration as your study permit.
Hope someone finds these comments useful. THIS NUMBER 5 5. If you are in a relationship, I strongly suggest you go get married and have your marriage certificate before you leave for school. Your spouse can join you on an open work permit which will be valid for the same duration as your study permit. you mean when applying for visa or after the visa is granted then in canada? |

salford: And you think 40k is bad. You are even lucky you have a job that pays that much...
And who told you jobs are in abundance overseas...lol My friend with a msc in proj management from a UK uni applied to Mcdonald 7 times, yet he was rejected..despite that i helped pushed good reference on his behalf as i worked there at that time... This was after he could not get jobs in his profession. He eventually returned to Nigeria where he now works in an NGO.
In Canada, i have met graduates from Canadian Uni working in walmart as cashiers/stockers. Some cant even get jobs at all and are trapped with student loan debts running into thousanda of dollars. I dont think you know how hard and low paying McD and walmart jobs are. Do you? I worked mcd in Uk, got my palm burnt by bread toaster on my occasions, walmart job when i came to Canada and broke my wrist lifting huge boxes and spent months visiting physios, labour job where i hit my thumb with a sledge hammer despite all my degrees from naija and the UK...Dont let me even get started with the ex pwc, mtns, nlng, doctors, accountants e.t.c that i know working shit jobs in Canada.. yet someone like you would get angry at me if i was your uncle and didnt send you money or help like in your thread...lol.
U can come abroad ooo..no one is gonna discourage you...but its also good to prepare your mind that the first 3-7 years would be tough "if you came in legally" so you need to have your mind prepared. If you come in illegally, that is even worse..Imo, it's good to let people know what they are getting into.... The positive vibe to it is that after the years of sacrifice if you can slug it out, then you shall reap the reward of abroad. Just one question? Why u still there if there are no jobs over there. so you want to compare Nigeria rate of unemployment to there with just that one guy? Note:Each country has it's own rate of unemployment but Nigeria's own is 61% high with our population contributing more of youths...you can't compare any western European country or America with the rate of unemployment here. |

Why are you not feeling for the thousands of beggars and drug addiction abroad? I understand your empathy but even where you live, beggars and lonely old people who can't afford heating are everywhere there
So because of one picture, everyone in Nigeria is now an animal abi? Seajae: I've been reading all the comments on here and I'm gonna just leave the op with a few words. 1. Your uncle may or may not owe you shii but there's a way you'd go about it and he might just decide to help. You have to at least show him that you're willing to support or contribute to your plight ces nobody would just wanna use his hard earned money to single handedly sponsor you to the Oz. 2. I always tell myself this, "If you expect people to invest in you then you have to be willing to prove to em that you have something to offer (save up something no matter how little, write an English proficiency test, make enough research about travelling to Oz and hit him up again with relevant information this time). 3. I came out with a 3rd as well but I never blamed anybody for that but me. Go back and think deeply how and what you can do to sway your uncle and let him know that if he decides to help you won't be a liability or make him regret it. Last but not least, YOUR UNCLE DOESN'T OWE YOU SHII Goodluck in your future endeavors i have ielts academic test result i took it last year november, i have german A1 result as well i took it 2015 June/July geothe institute lagos bro. |

londoner: If I'm getting you correctly you called to ask for money previously and your uncle did not give the money but God provided?
God will provide again won't he?
Your uncle thinks you are just calling to ask for money. Is he not 100% CORRECT though?
Trust me, I have lived in Australia before for 2 and a half years. I also studied for a year and a half there but even though I have a sister that lived there before going (and still does)I never expected her to assist me or pay my fees, rent, food or clothing.
I did that myself and also saved for almost 3 years before going just so that I would not be a burden to my sister or any relative back in the UK. Life in Australia is EXPENSIVE even more than London.
I returned to the UK in 2015 and carried on with my life after an amazing couple of years.
Instead of researching courses take a look at what the Australian government expects students to have especially from Africa.
Do you know that ON TOP of your course fees, you must show them a return ticket to Australia and proof of AT LEAST 18,610 Australian Dollars?
Is this what you are expecting your uncle to provide? Because your dad at one time helped him 'somehow'? The help which you 'somehow' avoid specifically mentioning which to me means it is probably in no way comparable to what you now want to ask of him.
Try to apply for education funds specifically for students coming from the developing world. There are also countries such as Turkey that have VERY low fees.
Please remember, when you are calculating your amount to live on please don't include what belongs to others. I never told him to help me study in Australia I know too well Australia is expensive,we talked and chatted like family then in university days untill I told him about helping me with the project money of #90,000 for the research on my white albino rat am to feed and house for the project then in my finals my uncle didn't chat with me again. I send warm regards/greetings during festive periods he still don't reply me. The last time he replied me was last year September when I finished serving and posted my Nysc outfit and certificate on Facebook he liked the post and replied inbox telling me congrats. But I tried telling him all I passed through in sch and started up chat about further studies he didn't reply anytin till now. Meanwhile I sometime blamed my self for certain decisions I made way back then in school. As for the Turkey u mentioned dear there's no sch in Europe ,America with such practical experience I wouldn't love to go, all I yearn for is just a 1year degree in Pgd with my best and the last chance given to me i hope to be on top of my game to secure a masters scholarship. 2.For funding it ain't easy for me with my grade 24th Dec to 2nd Jan I was off duties I was indoors althrough i used that period to apply scholarships both for graduate diploma scholarships and Undergraduate scholarship for developing countries it wasn't easy no positive response some actually were partial school funding which I didn't push further some requested admission first applications is all about money. I knw I try alot about all these the fact he is my uncle and one time was helped by someone let's forget my dad helping him too,God didn't come down from heaven to help him he only uses our fellow humans to bless our hustle. I only came online to ask this not that my uncle is not doing well he is ok. Little help sometimes can go a long way to our life sucess |

>>Her Uncle is not her ATM. >>he's not obligated to assist her, he owes her nothing. >>Everyone has got their own responsibilities and cross to bear >>How many people in op's very little capacity has he/she helped. You don't have to travel abroad or wait until you "hammer" before you could help others as well. As the op is, trust me, some people (younger ones) are also looking up to him/her even if it's a token of 500 naira. How many protégé has been raised through the op' s goodwill? How many of his/her relatives in school has he/she deemed it fit to get at least a textbook or sandal for? how many of them has the op adopted as his/her younger siblings, taking care of? Your guess is as good as mine. Why? Because it's easy to assess people from distance, profiling and judging them from their appearance(so called achievements) then conclude they could manage to do this and do that when in reality, you don't know what the person is passing through, regardless of his or her appearing/reflective status, which most times is not entirely as they are truly. Everyone at every point and stages in life would always have some people envying you no matter how good or bad you might personally think your situation is.
I used to be like the OP before. Used to wonder why my cousins could not help to facilitate my traveling out, meanwhile they could do for their brothers and sisters inlaw's. Later I thought about everything and realized, NO ONE OWES NO ONE ANYTHING. if help comes you grasp it and appreciate, if it doesn't, don't sulk. Move on. Make yourself to become who you want to be without relying on anyone but GOD.
Remember, whatever human beings do for you, they'd later make reference to it (Just as you, op did). Only God can give you more than what you desire and deserve in life and if there's anyone to make reference to it later, in the future, it'd be you yourself. Sorry bro what makes you feel i don't assist people I think you could check back on all my post here dear I have siblings in medical sch i atleast send little money from the little stipends am being paid to get textbooks and other school material even send little money to them when they so beg me for such help not that i have enough am managing Meanwhile am a rotaract I contribute and donate to the the poor we most times visit these less prievelege ones and do sanitations.I feel helping someone is beyound ones willing power to do i don't have that mentality that it should be uncle's responsibility but atleast he was helped to be whr he is now what's wrong helping others in little ways to be like him. |
