21,780 out of 33,000 Teachers failed Primary 4 Exams in Kaduna State. Not 22. Not 2,000. Not 12,000. A staggering 21,000+! This is not a tragedy. It's worse. Note that this is not teachers failing a promotional examination. They failed primary four examination!
We now see why people think the way they do in our beloved country, especially on social media. If 21,780 teachers could not pass primary four test, how would primary four pupils pass primary four tests?
Someone might argue that this could only have happened in the North. I disagree. Many of our Primary School Teachers even in the South are 'Accidental Teachers' with zero passion for teaching, and this definitely translates to zero enthusiasm in the classroom. For teachers, enthusiasm is fundamental. You must want to teach and ONLY teach. You must LOVE it!
You see, as long as we keep having folks who teach simply because they couldn't succeed in other endeavours, we would continue to have an abysmal educational system. Teaching must not be for failures or 'nonentities' in the society. We put our future at risk when we allow such.
I currently have a very close friend studying her Masters in Occupational Education in the United States of America. One thing I can tell you is this;
* We have not even begun to scratch the surface in modern educational models.
Guys, the philosophy, focus and techniques have changed radically! Those who call us 'Third World' are just being nice and modest. We are far backward.
How do I know this? Simple.
I have access to this person's entire curricula and course contents for the entire Masters program, and I help with research. Guys, teaching is a universe on its on.
While Nigeria is stuck in the BC era and other outmoded styles of educational instructions, the West is already training teachers on Blended Learning, Career Technical Education and other unorthodox educational techniques. Sometimes, I ask myself if this friend of mine and her knowledge would be relevant when she comes home. The gap is that wide.
Let's not deceive ourselves in Nigeria, we don't stand a competitive chance with the West anytime soon. Without qualitative and up-to-date education, Africa stands no chance in a fast paced world.
But it all starts with the right motivation. Teaching is a sacred duty and must be treated as such. It must not be left in the hands of 'rejects'. Demotivated and uninspiring teachers cannot churn out brilliant students.
I am what I am today by Self Development. By Nigerian educational standards, I was supposed to be dumb. Yes, schooling gave me a platform to learn but the environment to learn was missing. Only enthusiastic teachers can create that environment.
Teaching is not a job. It is a sacred priestly duty. That's how serious it is.

Romance › Re: British Woman Caught Her Baby Daddy Resting In Bed With Her Mother After Sex by Henitan24(f): 11:12pm On Nov 13, 2017 |
timidapsin: video was too long. Halfway through it, I got hungry so I left it playing and went to the kitchen to fix my self a toast bread. But then I found out that I'm out of mayonnaise so I went to a store.
There, I saw the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my whole life. But I'm really a shy person so I took up a three-year personality development course so I can introduce my self. She was very friendly and all, but unfortunately, she has a boyfriend. So I said, all good, I'm a mature person.
I want the best for her and I harbor no illusion that I am the best person for her and she seems happy with her boyfriend, so I did not bother her anymore. But we kept in touch and we became friends and I got over my crush on her. Then she broke up with her boyfriend, we drank some alcohol because of it, I told her she'll be fine and I wished her well.
I still think she's the most beautiful woman in the world, but like I said, I am over my crush on her. It was like five years already when I first saw her. Besides, I am quiet happy with the friendship I developed with her. It was more important than a crush. So we kept hanging out, drinking, having coffee, and all. I had a girlfriend, she started dating other guys. My girlfriend wants to live some other life without me in it, so I said, okay, I want the best for you and I want you to pursue your happiness.
My lady friend and I drank alcohol about it, and she gave me the same advice I gave her when she was in that position and I became okay with the breakup immediately. But we were really drunk, so she spent the night in my apartment. I only have one bed, so you know what that means: She took the bed and I slept on the couch. But on the couch, I really can't sleep.
Something was bothering me. So I tossed and turned for about three hours, then I finally can't take it anymore, I stood up and went straight to my room where she's sleeping. I approached the bed, gently sat on it and I reached for her shoulder to pull her closer to me. She stirred and woke up. She asked what's up.
I told her, you know, the first time I saw you, I was watching a video and left it playing to get my self a sandwich then went to the store to get some mayo then I got distracted by life that I forgot to finish the video. She said, you know what, I've been wondering about a weird noise in your night drawer.
So we opened that drawer, and lo and behold, there's my phone and this video still has 30 seconds of play time on it. ... genius but naughty... had to log in to quote and like this. Kip it up dude |

Christianity Etc › Re: What Preachers Don't Tell You About Tithe And Offering by Henitan24(f): 9:43am On Nov 12, 2017 |
I have noticed a trend; Christians who foolishly defend Tithing are the same group of Christians who make the worst kind of arguments in defence of Christianity. They are the kind of Christians who argue that Christians must not be too logical; that God is not logical. Watch out for those ilk of Christians. They usually defend nonsense. They'd even defend their own chains and fetters a.k.a slavery. And that's why they are easy preys for religious predators. #truthissacred |

Christianity Etc › Stupidity Isn't Christianity. by Henitan24(op): 10:13am On Nov 11, 2017*. Modified: 9:18pm On Nov 11, 2017 |
Some of my friends say I'm not a Christian, that I'm a closet Atheist. Some that are Atheists predict that I'll soon become an Atheist. I fully understand where they are both coming from.
You see, Christianity in Nigeria is synonymous with stupidity. If you have a habit of rationalizing, questioning and examining everything, you possibly cannot truly be a Christian in the Nigerian sense of the word. If you use your God-given intellect, you simply don't have faith. Faith is now unthinking following. Sad, but true.
Most high IQ folks reject and rebel against the brand of Christianity they see around because they don't want to identify with idiocy. You'd be shocked to know that most atheists loved the persona of Jesus since when they were kids. They love how Jesus challenged secular and religious authorities, debated them, outwitted them and logically answered their questions. But Alas, they grew up, became smarter, looked around and see nothing resembling His style. At least not anymore.
Virtually 95% of Atheists grew up in Sunday Schools. But now, they identify as either Skeptics or Atheists because our brand of Christianity embarrasses them. And frankly, it embarrasses Christ too.
People in my own camp are the most unfortunate. We are the ones with the herculean task of proving to the world that you can uphold biblical truths and yet not subscribe to inane ideas. That these biblical truths are not only spiritual but logical in their contexts and defensible simultaneously. This comes at a cost. Both groups (church folks and hard-line atheists) reject people like me.
But it is people like me that represent the Christ both as a Spiritual Messiah and a Persuasive Teacher.
Any so-called Christian who says stuffs like 'miracles are not logical' or that 'faith does not require reason' may feel spiritual but garbed in ignorance. He or she needs a crash course in apologia. Sometimes, a little knowledge causes a liberating ripple.
So, Christianity is not synonymous with stupidity. We just have many stupid people acting as its spokesmen.

Business › Re: Things I'm Learning Fast About Business by Henitan24(op): 5:21pm On Nov 10, 2017 |
All4good: Nice guidelines Henitan24 I would like to add a couple more from my personal experience.
1. You don't want to test the depth of a river with both feet. This simply means that you shouldn't start with a business that can consume all of the funds you have at hand. 2. Every business is risky, that is the reason you are entitled to a profit. The higher the risk the higher the return on investment (ROI) 3 . At the beginning of every business, there are so many unknown, but the longer you last in a particular business the fewer the unknown become. This is the place of experience. Unknown can be existence of community (or Alaye) fees, which if not paid may result to seizure of goods. Or could be the existence of government prohibition laws which may lead to legal sanctions. My advice to any newbie is to enter the business world via Agency business. Look for a reputable organization that you can attach to as distributor or agent. This way you can shield yourself from the many unknown I earlier talked about and even take advantage of their existing marketing /advertising campaigns to expand your new business. If I knew this 15yrs ago, I would have avoided the losses I had to insure myself. Take a look at the thread below for a typical example of such an organization you can affiliate with. It's a popular Nigerian company. You can start with N10k and within 2 months increase your investment to N100k or N1m as your experience and financial mgt grows.
