Atleast one person go sabi her then u take it up from there Yes! I used this tactics to get back my BB 9700. Education › What's The Proper Word Or Phrase For These Utterances? by Henovy(op): 9:33pm On Jan 25, 2016 |
This is for the special attention of the grammarians, ''English majors'' and literature gurus in the house. Please I'm in need of a proper word or phrase to describe these situations/utterances. There are pretty similar. 1. Someone tells you '' Please leave by child alone o. You know not how labour is to get a child'' She actually said this because you have no child. 2. You dropped out of school and your elder brother sets up a business for you and you are now a ''big boy''. The next thing he tells you is '' After I have picked you from the gutter and got you to where you are now, you dare to raise your voice at me? 3. A former classmate of yours tells you after a little altercation with him these words '' Comot here jare, have you forgotten that you used to be the dullest in the class? I actually know the vernacular(Urhobo) phrase or word for this action(s) but please I need to get the English equivalent. Over to you guys (and gals). Thank you. |

sexyjob: Let them call him on phone or use what sup or Facebook to ask those questions. He wld answer them. They could also do the question and answering in the pages of the newspaper. No need for physical presence. Tompolo is not a fool. #Isupportjusticeandrespectforthecourts Hmmn, I agree with only your last statement. Methinks, he has something to hide, hence the fleeing. We are all watching till the end of the drama! |

Cutehector: I normally put a cutlass under my bed when sleeping. So anythn gets wrong.
Someone"s head is gone! Pray you do not encounter them. One of my friends always kept a 12 round pump action gun at the head side of his bed. However, one day, he was taken unawares and as I type this the weapon is gone plus about 300k, 4 laptops, phones, jewelries etc. It was a clean sweep. Security lies with God, my brother. |
Crime › Face To Face With Armed Robbers: Do You Have An Encounter? by Henovy(op): 6:56pm On Jan 24, 2016 |
I thought we should start a thread on this to share our experiences either in your home, on the highway, in your place of work etc. and see what can be done to avert a repeat of such ugly incidents. Shall I fire the first shot? Here is it. We were at home one evening and our generator suddenly went off. Sensing that they could be armed robbers, I instructed my children not to open the door. We now reverted to use our inverter to power the house. After a while, I went to the bedroom to pick up something. Behold I heard shouts of Jesus, Jesus! What is amiss? Armed robbers are here, how did they get in? I later learned that my wife asked my son to go bring in the generator and before you could scream Holy Moses, ''move, no noise '' were the instructions and the rest is history. Lesson to be learned. Poor communication gap. The children should have told mummy that daddy instructed otherwise. Please recount your experiences to other NLs. |

GreatAgb: Hahaha, if the APC candidate is so popular and David mark has performed so badly, why are they (APC and her supporters) afraid of the polls. Go ahead and embarrass David then.
The Fact of this rerun is the battle of control of Benue politics at the national level between David Mark and George Akume, Onjege is just a stooge.
Since the return to democracy, the Idomas have been marginalised at the state level due to the numerical strength of the Tivs while all attempt to replicate that at the national level has met a brick wall in David Mark.
It will be a sorry story for the Idomas if they foolishly vote for APC in this rerun because, it will become a lose lose situation on all front and Akume will become the undisputed political godfather of Benue state So what if Akume becomes the undisputed political godfather of Benue state? The lesser of two evils I guess. |

Haba! The charges will be read to him in court, not to you or any other Nairalander for that matter. So let him come out of hiding. He threatened war if ''pushed further'' and that he has started by blowing up oil pipelines. Please, somebody should tell Tompolo that the era of impunity is over. |
