rasheedlorna: Yes cos u were rushing in replying with speculation when you could just have read carefully and did a research before trying to replace your wrong speculation as fact. Now that u know u can stop speculating wrongly and only conclude when you have your facts rightLol. I guess you and Sheldon from Big Bang Theory has something in common. The concept of sarcasm eludes you. Well, good luck in your quest, and do let me know when you do finally get it. |
jaemxvivid: I just got *samsung Behold2* but it's kinda slow in connecting i read the description on google and it says it got 3G network..please how can i locate and turn the 3Gntwrk ON.Guy. Just checked out the phone now. The phone is really ancient. 2009 and running Android Cupcake 1.5. I hope say na dash dem dash u cos I can't believe u actually spent money to buy that phone. Anyways, just check the settings, look for mobile networks. The 2G/3G should be somewhere there. Am not too familiar with Samsung's layout of the android settings. Or you can just google it. |
psalmdave: u guys are funny o...is samsung not a chinese company, what do u guys even mean buy chinese,oh my country,na wah oDude, you are wrong there. Samsung is Korean, so is LG. And you can't compare the two with any of those China phones. The only China phone maker that, in my opinion, want to be taken seriously by the mainstream, is Oppo. @OP, there are many medium range phones you can get at that price range or at most 30-32k. I'll recommend Sony Xperia J,M,E or Tipo phones. I think tipo is the only one that comes with anything less than Jelly Bean. Also, there are HTC phones within that price range, I don't exactly know them by name but if you head into the market, you'll see lots. And if you like Windows Phone 8, check out Nokia Lumia 520 and 620. They are quite nice. I'll recommend going for 620 above 520 cos it has a better spec sheet than 520. And stay away from 510 and 610. And finally, make sure you research online about the phone you want to buy before you actually buy it. And try not to buy a 2011/early 2012 phone cos the manufacturer might not bother to release any further updates for it. |
Onlytruth: since this company is involved in a very critical strategic national development sector, I hope that the engineers were picked BY MERIT not by some stupid quota system. I sincerely hope so!True words my brother. The same thing is crippling our democracy where we practice zoning. Let each party field their BEST candidate and Nigerians will elect the best candidate. |
ponzinglarng: Pls guys,d experia doesn't may hav shatter proof glass bt mine has cracked 3 times after 2 slight falls from my hands tryin to answer a call on 2 diffrent occasions.d screen is dalm too sensitive.d camera is tooo good,it functions great bt too fragile.get somtin else.I think u have the ZL and not the Z. It looks exactly like Z except that it's not water and dust proof. In fact, here in 9ja, some shops sell it at a higher price than Z cos they deceive some potential buys into thinking since it's called ZL, it must mean it's an upgrade to Z meanwhile, it's actually a downgrade. |
bxg: Get the HTC one instead much betaAre we talking about the same Sony Xperia Z that is dust and water proof, scratch resistant and shatter proof glass or a different phone? If so, there is no basis for comparison. |
Where's your location in Lagos? |
rasheedlorna: You were wrong and I suggest u learn to read properly and carefully before rushing to post comments. There is an app for malfunctioning trackball in blackberry, same as there is for andriod ....I don't have a malfunctioning trackball, but malfunctioning navigation keypads. If u had read my post carefully you would have seen u are asking already answered questionsOk. Saw my error and read your post twice now before posting this time. You said you needed an app to emulate the functionality of some keys on your keypad and I told you that it's not possible, you cited an app for replacing the functionality of the trackpad as a basis of your assertion that I was speculating. Hmmm... I am more surprised you used that to prove your point and then turn around to tell me that is not the same issue with what you're facing. Then again I couldn't help noticing the bolded. Never knew Android phones with trackpad exists. Hmmm...... |
As valid as your points are I do have a few observations. Firstly, You are most probably not what or who you say you are. Why, you ask? When you said you posted a picture of your internet speed below and I got to see the picture. I was shocked. It is equivalent to a doctor announcing that he/she wants to show us a stethoscope and he pulls out a thermometer. How can you show us a picture of your wireless adapter and tell me that is your internet speed? It means that your claim of working in a telco is bogus cos you don't even know the rudimentary knowledge of networks. What exactly were you planning on illustrating with the picture? Is it the 54mbps or something else? There's a thread here where people compare their own internet speeds, none of them has posted a picture as silly as yours. Maybe because none of them works in a telco. What you showed us in your picture is merely the network adapter's connection speed. You can also call it the transmission or link speed. It is the maximum speed obtainable on that adapter and it is the same for all wireless adapters regardless of location and manufacturer. Your internet speed is similar if not the same with bandwidth. It varies due to many factors. But from my own point of view, the major factor influencing the slow speeds here is that network capacity is overloaded. They have much more subscribers than their current infrastructure can support and still give optimum speeds obtainable in a 3G network. I still feel your points about cost holds but not as much as you think. Here's a little maths for you. Assuming, MTN has 10 million active subscribers and they make at least a minute call each day at 10 naira. That translates to 100 million naira per day. multiply that by 365 and you get 36.5 billion naira per year on calls alone. Now factor in texts, data and other value added services and the number jumps even further plus the fact that MTN has been in this country for over 10 years. So, you can see, inasmuch as they are spending to support and maintain their network, the still declare massive profits. Take MTN, they own 0803, 0806, 0703, 0706, 0813, 0816, 0814 and 0810. Do the maths and tell me if that is a struggling country. As a side note, a friend of mine that works as a telco engineer told me once that even though MTN is owned by South Africa, MTN Nigeria calls the shots at their board meetings because MTN Nigeria makes much more than what other MTN markets make combined together. |
Wu Zetian: LMAO @ morally okay!I love the last part, "Homosexuals harm no one.." Last I checked, necrophiliacs harm no one either. So do tree huggers and animal lovers. But then, harm is not limited to physical injury. There's psychological injury as well. Imagine what will happen to a kid who grew up in a world were homosexuals and necrophiliacs abound freely? It is comparable to a child raised up in a brothel. The prostitutes don't harm anyone but the child's mind will be warped by the realities of the world he grew up in. In the case of the child that grew up in a brothel, he starts seeing women as sex objects and nothing more. He will probably go and marry a lady one day with that mentality and if the lady should ever say no to sex one day, he will think he's being denied his rights no matter how reasonable or legitimate the wife's reason may be. His reaction might be to take what "belongs" to him by force and he rapes his wife. Meanwhile, someone is saying somewhere, prostitutes harm no one. They are just rendering a service. Now, in the other scenario, a child grows up in a world of gays, and necrophiliacs. What's to stop him from being a little bit innovative when he gets tired of the "norm" of his world. He might wake up one day and decide to take it up a notch by becoming an animal lover, after all he is hurting no one, right? P.S. Am trying to approach this from a scientific and logical point of view because I can see clearly that you are an atheist. No matter the scientific proofs that comes up tomorrow making homosexuality or any other perversion pleasant and appealing to the world. As long as the Lord God Almighty is against it, so shall I be. |
pesty100: i don't believe Google or wiki...... Seeing is believing.... Show me to male dogs screwing each other and i would beliveLol. I myself haven't seen. But I have seen pics of 3somes in some animals. One male going at it and the 2nd male was in such a rush and couldn't wait and mounted the 1st male. |
Wu Zetian: 25 calibre! Renounce your Computer Science degree!! Wu Zetian: https://www.takeyourskirtofftombrady.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/facepalm.gif peterphd: Google is your friend.please google homosexuality in animals before posting * *Ok. I guess it really has gotten to this. A state of affairs whereby, for the lack of a cogent reason and to give themselves things to help them sleep at night, we now have people looking up to animals as yardstick for humans. I know humans are also animals but I thought We were the higher animals. Since when do we start resorting to seeing animals as the trendsetters/role models for humans? Since you both are scientists, let's do a lil' bit of scientific analysis. It's true that there had been cases of homosexuality in animals, but the truth remains that it isn't as common as heterosexuality in animals. According to the wikipedia article u posted, it claims that close to 1500 animal species have been known to have homosexual behaviours with 500 of them been well documented. Now, compare that number to the 8.7 million animal species in the world according to this article on BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-14616161 Now, what does that tell you? Even among animals, the numbers are so tiny that it could even be said to be insignificant. Given the right circumstances, I believe that an animal can exhibit homosexual behaviour and that is expected of it because it is after all, an animal. Humans are called higher animals for good reasons some of which include higher intelligence and moral compass/conscience. This is why, humans even though we are grouped together with many animals as mammals, we don't do or act like they do. Now, if your only reason or point of saying that it's ok to be gay simply because animals are doing it, why stop there? Let's start having sexual relations with our brothers/sisters, fathers with daughters, mothers with sons. Let the strong dominate the weak, let's live in herds/packs with a pack leader that every female in the pack belongs to. Let's eat our young in times of famine. Let's prey on and kill off the weaker ones in our midst so that only the strong survive. Let's all start doing all these and more from today on because animals do it and since it's ok for them, it should be perfect for us humans. |
rasheedlorna: Don't think so, I found an app for the replacement of non functional trackball in blackberry just like andriod does so i guess u were just speculativeI see. Problem solved then. Guess I was wrong. What's the name of the app and why are you still bumping the thread since you've gotten a solution? |
malikalhaj: SentIts pretty straight forward. Just use the Microsoft picture manager that comes with office 2007. Open the picture, click on edit, select ur new size from a list of pre-defined sizes or customise, apply and save. |
Sorry, couldn't help but notice. But did you just say a RING network? Does anyone still run such a topology? |
Can you give me the info about the mtn 200 browsing thing? My email is buxzy2017@gmail.com. Thanks. |
Lol. Why don't YOU actually check it out cos apart from the fact I followed those particular phones closely from when they were rumors up to their individual release, I actually had to check them again before posting then and now as well. But if u still need proof, here are the specs for all the phones you mentioned. http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_go-4782.php http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_v-4958.php http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_zr-5421.php http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_z-5204.php http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_zl-5203.php http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_lumia_920-4967.php http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9295_galaxy_s4_active-5446.php www.gsmarena.com/htc_butterfly-5118.php Check them out and modify your post accordingly. I believe you made an honest mistake. |
Blackberry doesn't support replacement of the default keys by use of an app like android does. You just have to fix your keys. Sorry mate. |
Hard or soft copy? |
Nice prices. But Sony Xperia ZL, HTC Butterfly and Nokia Lumia 920 are not water resistant phones. |
Don't you think it's better you upload the pix here plus screenshots of the about page for everyone interested to see instead of having to send the pix individually to everyone that asks? |
Kslib: Why are you being defensive?Blacks, Orients, Arabs, Indians, Filipinos. I didn't see them in the picture either. Guess what? I don't care cos I wasn't looking for them in the first place. |
When will people stop falling for this type of poo. |
@deeobserver209, thanks for your input. @do-not-sin, that's true. But I would love you to shed more light on why you feel so. Can you drop some scriptural references. Thanks. |
Bump |
Thanks to all that has commented. I appreciate your views. |
Mods, try not to block or hide this thread as well. |
I came across a thread here where Catholics are celebrating today as the birthday of the virgin Mary. Among the posts there, I saw one that made a claim that Mary was born without original sin. I asked a question there for the Catholics in the house to educate me about this claim using scriptures and not human ideologies but unfortunately, the mod is too busy hiding any post that is not exalting Mary in that thread and mine was one of such. So, here I am, with my own thread. I'd like only REASONABLE CATHOLICS to comment and share their views and quote scriptures backing it up. Please, no name calling, insults or fanatically ideologies please. I myself was a Catholic and was an altarboy in training before I left the Catholic church due to my personal convictions. As much as I respect each and everyone's convictions, I'd love to understand the rationale behind it and as a Christian, I believe the only rationale behind our convictions is Jesus Christ and nothing else. So please, let's hear it from you guys. Thanks. |
Some Nigerians are really retarded. How can you be praising GEJ for a job he has no hands in? The report clearly states that it was an IPP project and hence if any government personal should be lauded then it should be the state governor. Imagine you praising GEJ for providing BRT buses to ease transportation in Lagos or even the new rail system when it was clearly the state governor initiative. Please lets learn how to accord thanks and accolades to the rightful person. |
@OP, forget it. You can't change it to windows. Well, at least not easily. You are stuck with Chrome OS. |
