muyeeoo: If you are educated you will understand the implication of restricting movement because of a forsaken tradition that is not accepted by all. That is the problem. nobody is saying they should not do whatever ritual they deem fit to celebrate but restricting movement and even going ahead to kill innocent people in the name of culture is stupid and barbaric
when moslem experience ramadan just few weeks ago did they not restrict people's movement, are everybody moslem in nigeria but people stayed at home, this just only ikorodu and you are spewing rubbish just to discredit what you dont like.

Acidosis: You never fail to dissapoint, dummy smiley

No one is complaining about your god or whatever you choose to worship. Who cares? Even if you spend 365 days praising Stones and granites.

The question remains... why the hell should anyone restrict the movements of others in the name of religion and rites?

Na all dis rough play dey cause riots and religious wars.

I strongly urge the F.G to ban these african stup.i dity and backwardness.

Christians and Moslems do not restrict anyone from moving to wherever...

Personally, no fa.g.got can ever hinder me from moving to wherever I want. Never in this life! Atleast not in Nigeria!

I only pity those who have businesses to run around Ikorodu.

How I wish I attend a Church around that side. Heaven knows I'll be the first person to get to Church! Dat man wey go stop me, i tell u, dem neva born am.

Until thousands of heads roll; you idiotic fa.ggots will never learn.
moslems just finish their ramadan, did they not declare holiday? are everybody in nigeria moslem? but they abide by it and stay at home, so you think people that stayed at home dont something to do that week.....smh.

captivating: Attention! Attention!! Attention!!!
If you have any business or activities around ikorodu area of
Lagos state please suspend it for now.
I use to pay no or less attention whenever a traditional ruler
passed on and people start spreading rumours that 7 or 14
human heads are needed to perform some kind of funeral
rites, until a woman confirmed it today that she almost get
nailed yesterday at ikorodu for the burial rites of the late
Oba of ikorodu that pass on this week.
According to the woman she said, the good samaritan that
got her out of the danger zone said, the traditionalist
needed 14 male and female heads.
Please spread the news and save lives!!!
FALSE RUMOUR!!! you are just spreading propaganda to make you feel good

muyeeoo: Ignorance celebrated in the name Of culture. In this 21st century people still celebrate ignorance.
how does 21st century affects culture if you know yourself, japanese, chinese, et al have a tradition and shrines too but they are advancing, i ask again, how does science affect religion? #blackslave.

I just confirmed that yoruba's are born to be slaves to the ibos ( double tragedy), it is no news that a yoruba man can never stand for the truth, very unstable in decision making and always know for the 'sitting on the fence' kind of attitude, you guys are the reason why nigeria isn't making progress, we don't know where and what you stand for! I simply tag you guys as ' obey the wind'. 'any wia wey belle face na road'. Very inconsistent set of people, always seeking for the ill of people that are doing better than you, bunch of gossips, the only people with out a particular religion, always doing eye- service! I can go on and on and on!
Scu.m bags!
this is the reason you guys have been use as scape goat by hausa and yoruba, you spew trash just to feel good, you are looking more silly mr man.

vislabraye: Go and worship you wood and clay. It is Westernization that has made you computer literate. What has your traditional religion done for you ? Christianity established schools and free health care which Im sure you are also enjoying. If you have malaria fever, you won't drink agbo. You will run to the nearest clinic to get some treatment.

If you are sensible, you will see that I mentioned the -ves of these traditions which also include your favourite masquerade dance. Whether Calabari, Yoruba or Kanuri masquerade dancing is rubbish and backward. U hear. Case close.
who are the westerners that you re talking about? are china, japan,et al christian country, is bill gate a christian? with your logic its now known to me that you guys worship white man skin. Oga religion doesnt have anything to do with invention, its science you get that. if you have the brain and support you can manufacture things too.

chulla12: I am actually non-religious. A faithless world where life is valued imo is much better than glorified superstition which has engineered the killings of innocent millions over years (I'm talking about Islam, Christianity in past days, crude paganism).

The fact that adherents in these various beliefs (yourself included) are okay with this sort of thing because it typifies a "spiritual lifestyle" shows that human beings have a long way to go. It's no different from the marauding Christian crusaders in medieval times and radical islamism prevalent in many countries.

Reading this thread reminded me of a conversation I witnessed between my driver (from a minority tribe) and his Yoruba friend. They were discussing the unfortunate spate of ritual killings that occur during an Oba's burial...where fresh human heads were buried with the king to signify his transition to the spiritual world with his servants. Disturbed, my driver asked his friend why this practice was still held among the Yoruba. His friend proudly shrugged him off by saying "it is our tradition."

On that note, I will humor you by saying it is none of my business as you have justified it to be tradition in defence.

Have a good day.
bro human sacrifices when oba dies was practiced during ancient time for example, in bini they no longer do that.

vislabraye: I wonder for people saying we should respect tradition. That means the killing of twins, female circumcision, and sacrifice of albinos should be continued.

Thats why theres no development in Ikorodu. When demons are invoked upon a land how do you want it to grow?
is there development in the whole nigeria? are boko haram, ebola, corruption, drug peddlers, kidnapping, looting, practice in ikorodu too.
Nigerians dont know their problem..smh

emiye: Good news .! I hate APGA and Labour parties thoroughly., they are a very fake opposition, and should be spat out, since they are neither cold nor hot. If you will play opposition, stand out and play opposition.

But, what we see is the biggest icons of these two parties (Mimiko and Obi) running under the umbrella when they think is convenient, i have said on another thread that such parties will collapse with a function of a short time, and it is playing out now. Much respect to Tinubu. All efforts must be geared to prevent a one party state in Nigeria.
bro you have spoken well, A democracy were there is no opposition is not a democracy.this is the reason PDP loots nigeria since 1999 but since the arrival of ACN/APC that pressure is now there for PDP.

And I bet the fools don't realise its all political gimmick and the fools bought the story. Lingering crises Kor, laundering crunches ni

Fools everywhere!
mr all this insult you are sharing will not make you feel better, all what they said about APGA is nothing but the truth,i know your ego have been bruise by their statement, aside 3 or 4 states in the east tell me were APGA have won an election? i am from south south, since election have been holding i have not seen any APGA chairman nor their followers in south south...APGA is a PDP branch in the east, they are just like a tool PDP use against any party thats giving them headache like ACN now APC.

A democracy were there is not an opposition is not a democracy, if APC were around since 1999, i tell you nigeria wouldnt have been like this, before pdp loot national treasury as they like but now it has reduced drastically, anybody that steal now, you will hear it like the case of odua, unlike before, thats the work of opposition, to challenge a sitting party.

danot1030: Hehehe one state party, they cannot retain their seat at the national assembly and they want to come to Lagos and take over the sit of government, I have said the igbos don't support their own, wit all d noise about how much Ojukwu is revered they don't have enof sense of loyalty to defend his legacy or support the poor wife. Anyway I have always be of the opinion that the igbos are born to serve others initiative. PDP was hatched by the hausas and they call on the igbos the errand dogs to front it, but for the igbos to promote their own initiatives for wia, dat one is inferior. Now their loyalty is to the south south, aftert that their next sevice will go to middle belt.
igbo=money desperado, they can dine with their enemy as far as money is involve, other regions in the country know them for that, flaunt the money in their face and they are all yours.

moscobabs: When SARS (Severe acute respiratory syndrome) broke out between November 2002 and July 2003, we saw how the authorities of China and Hong Kong managed the whole situation. They did not blame anybody, they just went to work and were successful in containing it even though it claimed 775 lives and affected over 8,000 people. Their governments funded their local scientists and worked with scientists all over the world. When the bird (avian) influenza also broke out, we saw how the various nations reacted, no one blamed anybody.

When MERS (Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus) broke out in Saudi Arabia affecting Qatar, Malaysia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, Algeria, Bangladesh, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and the United States, all the various governments worked together to battle the resistant strain and no one blamed anyone until the situation was brought under control. When polio vaccine was brought to Nigeria, Nigerians were blaming the West. When ebola broke out in Nigeria, Nigerians are blaming the West. I think we should also blame the West for our lack of electricity, or what do you think? Since it is the West that has been voting for and electing our leaders since 1999.

Are people not aware of the fact that from the beginning of time, epidemics and pandemics of diseases have always been with us? I just wonder why some people keep saying this is the end times...lol! Diseases and outbreaks have been with humanity right from day one. My hand is paining me, I've been typing since morning, who do you think I should blame?
bro you have spoken well, i concur with you but you and i know that since 1999, our vote have not be deciding who is the winner, these fools we call leaders have been rigging election.
